The Cosmic Battle
Truth did not come into the world naked, but it came in types and images. One will not receive truth in any other way.

The god of this world and the image of deity most persons hold to, is Satan the Devil. This may be a shocking and disturbing statement. Certainly, it may be equally shocking to learn that human kind’s real origin was outside the Earth, and is certainly not terrestrial. Yet is it true? Truthful knowledge, the acquisition of which may be painful or unpleasant, is always preferable to so called blissful ignorance.
The Gospel of Thomas, a text left out of the New Testament by the Church Fathers records Jesus as declaring: “Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All.”
In this article we want to draw together a few scattered facts pertinent to human kind’s beginnings and start to unravel a vast ‘conspiracy’ to keep us blind to our true origin and potential destiny.
God of this World
Satan, the Adversary, the devil, is the god of this world. From a study of the New Testament Gospels we are left in no doubt that this was the teaching of the original followers of Jesus the Christ. In the Gospel of Matthew we read how Jesus was promised earthly power and glory if He would worship the Adversary (see Matthew 4:8-10). Contemporary Christians pass over the essential meaning of these verses: Satan, the Adversary, is the ruler of the material world.
The impartial reader cannot fail to be struck by the implications of Jesus Christ’s statements such as: “I testify of the world that the works thereof are evil” (John 7:7); “Ye are of this world, I am not of this world” (John 8:23); “The prince of this world is judged” (John 11:18); “Ye [His disciples] are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world;” “I pray not for the world but for them which Thou hast given me, for they are mine” (John 17:9); “They are not of the world even as I am not of the world” (John 17:16).
When Jesus was before Pilate he declared, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews...” (John 18:36).
Throughout the New Testament Gospels we see find a quite prominent distinction made by Jesus between His Father and “the Prince of this world.” This was preserved in the traditional orthodox baptismal formula, where the candidate renounces the world and the flesh along with “the Devil.”
Documentary evidence of such beliefs among the first followers of Jesus may be found in the writings of Ignatius, disciple of the Apostle John and bishop of the ekklesia (community) in Antioch, who was martyred in Rome in 107 AD.
In his short epistle to the Ephesians Ignatius wrote, “Be ye not anointed with the bad odour of the doctrine of the prince of this world; let him not lead you away captive from the life which is set before you.” Apparently this was a subtle allusion to the odour of burnt offerings in the deluded worship of the god of this world. He further wrote of “the powers of Satan...and the destruction at which he aims.” Also in his epistle to the Romans he says: “The prince of this world would fain carry me away, and corrupt my disposition towards God.” In the long version of Ignatius’s epistle to the Trallians he definitely identifies “the prince of this world” as “the devil”.
Again, the Epistle of Barnabas affords similar evidence. Clement of Alexandria and other early writers unanimously ascribed this epistle to the apostle Barnabas, the companion of Paul. Barnabas warns his fellow-Christians that the days are evil and that Satan possesses the power of this world.
Standing in opposition to God the Father, Satan is known as the slanderer (diabolos), from which is derived the English ‘devil’, and the Arabic, ‘Iblis’. The Bible speaks of Satan as the old serpent (Revelation 12:9), embodying all evil and wickedness, and full of conspiracies to keep humans enslaved to illusion, in ignorance of truth, and in love with self and the world.
Today, Christianity has largely relegated Satan to the confines of a mythical image of evil, or at best, a bizarre supernatural being held responsible for leading people into transgression of ethical and moral codes. Unfortunately, few Christians understand the real implications of Christ’s teaching.
The first Christians believed that evil was a truly real force, not merely the privation of some good. Identifying this evil power as the ‘Adversary’, ‘Devil’, ‘Satan’, and ‘god of this world’, they saw the ‘fallen’ material world as a source of sin and corruption, that was to be avoided. Paul wrote to the Romans, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Romans: 8:6). The true or inner Man naturally longs for his true home (see Hebrews 11:13-15). But he is trapped by his ignorance and blindness in a world of corruption and ruination.
Evil is not to be considered in terms of physical, moral or social ills. What people may regard as crimes and vile acts, are not the essential evils. However, they may be the fruit of evil. Jesus stated that publicans and harlots - the most despised people of His day - would enter the kingdom (Matthew 21:31). He forgave the adultress, and promised paradise to the thief on the cross. Jesus taught that the true God looks on the heart, on the inner man, not on the transient actions of the outward man.
The struggle between the powers of good and evil in the invisible world precede all earthly crimes and unrighteousness. Christ exposed the real character of evil. Evil is that which contributes to entropy, alienates all consciousness, and consolidates the false order of existence.
Satan, the Devil, the Adversary and the Serpent, are all names, metaphors and symbols of the cosmic Evil Mind or Principle - the spirit of ignorance - the ultimate separation from the source of light, life and love.
Between Good and Evil
Turning to the New Testament Gospel of John, chapter 8, verse 21, we find that Jesus quite plainly told the corrupt religious leaders of His day, “whither I go, ye cannot come.” Reading on we discover in verses 22 to 23:
“Then said the Jews, ‘Will He kill Himself? because He saith, ‘Whither I go ye cannot come.’”
“And He said unto them, “Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.”
Jesus the Christ here distinguishes two basic patterns: one from “above” (the heavenly realm) and one from “below” (the Earth). This is the very same profound truth we discover in the Essene Manual of Discipline where there is a clear distinction between the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness. In the 3rd chapter of John, Jesus tells Nicodemus that no one shall see the Kingdom of God “unless he is born again.” As any good Biblical reference book will show, the word mistranslated as “again” should be correctly rendered “above”. Indeed, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born from above.” (John 3:3)
Now the central themes of Jesus the Christ’s ministry were certainly not new. They were in fact a restatement and revolutionary reaffirmation of the Ancient Wisdom teachings that have their source in primordial antiquity.
Recall that centuries before the birth of Jesus, Zoroaster prophesied of the coming of an ‘Anointed One’. He also instructed his disciples that this Saviour would be born of a virgin, that they would be the first to hear of him, and that they should bring him gifts.
Zoroaster, like Akhnaton in Egypt before him, taught of one supreme deity whom he called Dyaus Pitar, or ‘Heavenly Father’. Jesus the Christ repeatedly identified the Most High God as the Heavenly Father, instructing His disciples to direct their prayers to ‘Our Father’ in Heaven. Searching the Old Testament we do not find Jehovah addressed in this manner! Jesus the Christ was obviously drawing on an older, forgotten, or suppressed Tradition.
In his reform of the religion of the early Iranians, Zoroaster also called the one and only God, ‘Ahura Mazda’, the Supreme Lord of Enlightenment or Truth, who had prepared a ‘Paradise’, which was a term in the Iranian sacred writing the Avesta for heavenly realm, for all those who sought to do His Will. Zoroaster’s moral and ethical teachings were of the highest order. He taught that Truth was the prime attribute of the Heavenly Father and the essential basis of Good; that the Lie, in leading men away from the Truth, was the primary source of all evil; that men should seek the Right through Truth, and reject lying and deceit. He taught that there were sinister influences in the material world which issued from an evil source, and strove to mislead humanity by lies and deceit; and that it was the allotted task of men to overcome and dissipate these evil influences by Truth.
The prophet Zoroaster also taught that in addition to the Supreme Lord Ahura Mazda, the ruler of the celestial realm, the God of Light, Wisdom and Order, the source of life and immortality, the creator of all things good or spiritual; there was ‘Ahriman’, the Evil One. Ahriman was identified as the Prince of the Air in this world, possessing the power of death, destruction and chaos, the source of matter and darkness.
Ahura Mazda, in the sacred Avesta writings, is the supreme, monotheistic deity who will in due course triumph utterly over evil, which derives from a lesser, inferior source. Ahura Mazda, the Most High God of Light, created the race of Aria of pure light. Ahriman, the Prince of Darkness, prompts the fall of the Aria by drawing them into flesh bodies. The Aria also worship the sun as the paramount symbol of their Heavenly Father, the God of Light. Ahriman makes it so the sun burns them. Ahriman presides over the Children of Darkness or Serpents, who are a race of demons. The Aria await a Saviour who will facilitate their return to the celestial realm and believe in a righteous judgement at the end of the age.
Dr. Martin Larson says that, “The permanent contribution of Zoroastrianism to European life and culture has come to us through its enormous influence upon the Gospel Jesus via the Essenes.” (The Story of Christian Origins) We discover the very same Tradition that was central to the Zoroastrian Avesta in the later Essene writings. And as Dr. Frank M. Cross observed, “there are intimate parallels between the Essene and primitive Christian communities.”
The Two Ways
The Gospels reveal that Jesus always drew a sharp line between the wicked and the righteous. Every human being is a Child of Light or a Child of Darkness. No man can serve two masters: either we will love material things, and pursue them as our principle objective in life, and in so doing will necessarily lie, cheat, and exploit; or we will renounce all these hollow and transitory material illusions, love the Heavenly Father with heart and soul, and renounce all evil.
These are the same two ways found in Zoroastrianism, Pythagoreanism, and expounded in the Essene Manual of Discipline, and Nazarene The Didache. They shaped the outlook of the early Nazarene communities established by the apostles.
The Didache or The Teaching of the Twelve Apostles, was a manual used by the first generation followers of Jesus Christ and was also known as The Two Ways. The manuscript itself, nearly one thousand years old, was a copy of another probably completed about 100 AD; while this, in turn, is believed to be a recension of a Hebrew composition that may date back to 40-55 AD.
The importance of this writing to the Nazarenes is summed-up by Dr. Martin Larson:
So here in this primitive Didache, we find in brief scope the ethics, the economics, the sacraments, the discipline, the organization, and the eschatology of the pristine Church as these had evolved from Essenism into the apostolic communions.

Revisiting Genesis
How does all this relate to the genesis of the human race?
Prehistorians, blinded by modern age materialism, see mankind’s ‘ancestral’ Homosapiens evolving from the level of the anthropoids, making flint tools, and then laboriously climbing the steps of ‘progress’ to our day. All humans, however, whether they be American Indians, Polynesians, Africans, Chinese, Japanese or Europeans, maintain that they came from elsewhere, that their real origins are not terrestrial.
"Human beings,” wrote the respected UFO researcher Brinsley Le Poer Trench, “have forgotten where their real home is, where their fathers reside, and are playing the role of prodigal sons, immersed and enmeshed in the delusion and unreality of chemical life. Humanity is playing with shadows."(Forgotten Heritage)
Indeed, the British author Le Poer Trench was also quite correct when he wrote that the Biblical creation story of Adam and Eve was only “one of many visits to Earth from advanced civilisations”. Numerous writers and researchers such as W. Raymond Drake, Richard Mooney, Robert Charroux and Maurice Chatelain who a decade ago wrote a book called Our Ancestors Came from Outer Space, highlight this in a stream of popular paperbacks. While these books are overlaid, to varying degrees, with a number of modernist absurdities, they contain a profound kernel of solid truth, ie that human beings originated “as a result of colonization from elsewhere in space, and, further, that all civilizations we know were founded upon the wreckage of an earlier, greater culture which was destroyed."(Colony Earth)
The author of Colony Earth rightly points out:
Homo sapiens appear, suddenly, out of the blue, complete, intelligent, with clothing, weapons, fire. With a curious mythology that owes nothing to an animal ancestor, and with an ability that, at the beginning, is at least equal to that of today.
Does this explain why every civilisation of antiquity - including ancient Egypt and Sumer - seems to have appeared fully formed? Archaeologist P.J. Wiseman says:
No more surprising fact has been discovered by recent excavation, than the suddenness with which civilization appeared in the world. It was expected that the more ancient the period, the more primitive would excavators find it to be, until traces of civilization ceased altogether and aboriginal man appeared. Neither in Babylonia nor Egypt, the lands of the oldest known habitations of man, has this been the case.

The Sumerians, the Mayan people, the Chinese, the Japanese, the Celts, the Scandinavians, the Hopi Indians of North America, and indeed, practically every people in the world has its own tale of a time of contact with forces outside our tiny planet.
Can these ‘troubling’ findings be reconciled with the Biblical creation story? Further, is there a correlation between the constant theme of Good verses Evil found in all the religions and traditions of antiquity, and the genesis of humanity?
Man’s Hidden Origins
A number of writers postulate, in keeping with that body of inner or esoteric wisdom handed down from remote times, that Etheric Beings, hermaphrodites, descended from ‘the great beyond’ millions of years ago to populate what we now call Earth. W. Raymond Drake states, “after many ages under terrestrial conditions their bodies gradually materialised to coarser vibrations...male was separated from female.” This stage corresponds to the sixth day creation of Genesis where we read:
And Elohim created man in His own image, in the image of Elohim created He him, male and female created He them. And Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it...”
— Genesis 1:27-28
Note that this ‘sixth day’ creation was formed by the simple Word of the Elohim.
“Many anthropologists,” writes Richard Mooney, “who realize that traditional views of a direct transition from ape to man are largely untenable, are now suggesting that the various apelike forms are ‘experimental types,’ and from these earlier models, Homo sapiens developed as a separate species.”
Further, in the antiquities of yesterday we learn, from the records of lost Atlantis and the traditions that moved from Hyperborea and Lemuria throughout all Asia, that ‘ultra-terrestrial’ intervention was responsible for bringing civilisation to Earth.
They were the Elohim, or the Celestial Family of Most High God, who came to teach the ‘sixth day’ creation and instruct the first Priest-Kings of Atlantis. This was the Golden Age of mythology when “gods walked with men”. These Sons of the God of Light had auras which were visible to the Earth people of those days. In remembrance ever since the righteous saints are always depicted surrounded by haloes and earthly Kings have worn artificial haloes, golden crowns.
Arcane traditions tell of these Lords of the Flame descending to Earth in ships or disks of light. Today, in our materialist age, they would be misrepresented as mere “extraterrestrials” coming in spaceships or UFOs. This is because, at the end of the Dark Age, we have lost the ability to properly identify these mysterious disks of light.
On Earth during this period were also thousands, if not millions, of nonphysical beings.
Satan “drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth” (Revelation 12:4). The Christian tradition equates these forces with the demons and fallen angels who rebelled with the Adversary. This Adversary to the God of Light was SatanaEl, once the eldest son of the Most High God. Satanael took dominion over many islands in the universe; chief of which was this solar system. When Satanael rebelled against the government of God, he drew rebel angels with him. After his defeat in the heavens, the Adversary retreated to his main stronghold, which is now his last stronghold, the planet Earth.
The Adversary, as Jesus declared is the lord of this planet, so these demonic forces tried to control the ‘sixth day’ creation and block any opportunity of spiritual advancement by keeping them Earth-bound. As the ‘sixth day’ creation had no astral abilities, the Adversary locked them into a cycle of reincarnation, so that on death they would take the pitriyana, the Way of the Ancestors, and return to earth again and again.
Many years after the coming of the Adversary and his fallen angels to Earth, the mighty empire of Atlantis succumbed to corruption and evil. All manner of wickedness began to be practised and the Most High God of Light withdrew His children, the benevolent Elohim, from the Temples of Atlantis where they had instructed for many years. Natalie Banks relates the cause of the eventual destruction of Atlantis:
However, owing to a temporary seizing of control by those known as ‘the dark brothers’, the Great White Lodge [Elohim] withdrew for a while from their close contact with humanity, with the result that a large portion of the later Atlantean race became a prey to the influence and actual use of black magic (the selfish use of power). This gained entry and operated through the people’s low-grade emotional excesses, which were stimulated by a very undeveloped mentality. This terrible disaster, the nature of which we today can hardly imagine, led in time to the downfall of Atlantis when the whole continent was gradually submerged by a slow succession of floods.

Before the benevolent Elohim left Atlantis they advised the righteous Atlantean priests to lead their people from the sinking land that was now under divine judgement. A promise was also made to these Atlanteans which assured them that, in time, the benevolent Elohim would return. The reason for their return was that in the Divine Plan the righteous Elohim, in the proper time and under divine guidance would overthrow the darkness of the Adversary, set the people free and cleanse this area of the universe of the Evil Mind.
Who are the Elohim?
The Hebrew word Elohim is translated as ‘God’ in the Old Testament scriptures to give the misleading impression that it is a single form, when in actuality, it is a word in the plural form. Elohim being the plural of Elyon. The word Elohim is used 2,250 times in the Hebrew Bible, even to describe idols. The Elohim are a class of beings, more accurately described as the Mighty Shining Ones, equivalent to the Neteru (Ancient Ones) of Egypt and the Sumerian Anunnaqi (“those who Anu sent down to Earth”) in the Enuma Elish.
The ancient Egyptians held that in the lost Golden Age (‘the First Time’) these Neteru, described as beautiful divine beings with supernatural powers, lived on Earth with humans. Some of the Neteru were held to be gods of creation who had given shape to primordial chaos through their divine will. The Egyptians also spoke of intermediaries between the gods and men called the Urshu, whose title meant ‘the Watchers’.
The Egyptologist E.A. Wallis Budge tells us:
It is quite true that the Egyptians paid honour to a number of gods, a number so large that the list of their mere names would fill a volume, but it is equally true that the educated classes in Egypt at all times never placed the ‘gods’ on the same high level as God, and they never imagined that their views on this point could be mistaken.

It is interesting to consider that the renowned Egyptologist Rene Schwaller de Lubicz, who spent years researching in Egypt, equates the Neteru with individual energy vibrations.
All the ancient texts affirm that their are both malevolent and benevolent supernatural beings or Mighty Ones (Elohim). The Neteru or Ancient Ones of Egypt and the Elohim or Mighty Ones of the Hebrews are often seen as the spiritual guardians of humanity. But we find among them two distinct groups: one group - the Liberators - are benevolent towards humans, while the other - the Prison Warders - are malevolent and seek to keep humans in ignorance. No where is this distinction clearer than in the Hebrew Bible.
The malevolent beings, sometimes called the ‘dark gods’, want you to forget where you came from and what you are really on Earth for. They seek to keep Man unaware of the Most High God, his true Father.
Examining the Hebrew text we find a distinction between the Most High God (El or Elyon), with His emissaries the beneficient Mighty Shining Ones (Elohim), and the disagreeable Lord Jehovah (YHWH). This is conceiled within English translations of the Bible, where in most instances we find the misleading word LORD in place of YHWH and GOD in place of Elohim and Elyon. Consider just the following verses - correctly translated - from the Hebrew Bible:
When the Most High (Elyon) gave the nations their heritage,
When He divided mankind,
He fixed the territories of the peoples
According to the number of the sons of God;
But Jehovah’s (YHWH) share was his people,
Jacob was his inherited possession.

had brought forth bread and wine,
he being a priest of the Most High (Elyon).
— Genesis 14:18The sons of the Mighty Ones (Elohim)
saw the daughters of Adam that they were fair,
so they took to themselves wives whomsoever they chose.
— Genesis 6:2Now there came a certain day, when the
sons of the Mighty Ones (Elohim) entered in
to present themselves unto Jehovah (YHWH),
so the accuser also entered in their midst.

Throughout the ancient Middle East worship of the Most High God, the righteous and loving Supreme Being called El, was once widespread. Overtime this was replaced by the worship of a multitude of lower local manifestations of divinity. The history of the Hebrews, as well as that of the later Israelites, is a struggle between the devotees of El and the priests of the evil Lord Jehovah.
A number of researchers speculate that Jehovah, the LORD of the Hebrew Bible, was an extraterrestrial being who landed at Elam Assur in Mesopotamia and approached Abram (who is said to have become the later patriarch Abraham). Study of the Zohar, Sefer Sefirah, and Sefer Yetsirah of the Jewish Kabbala by the scholar Ibn Aharon reveals that ‘Y’hova’ (Lord Jehovah) began to guide Abram with dictatorial and destructive powers. Though later wrongly called the One God, the early Hebrews knew him as only one of the many Elohim (Mighty Ones), the deity of their own tribe and ‘Shadq Eli-B-Athanu’, the ‘Strange God from the Mount’.
An honest and unbiased reading of the Hebrew Bible will further support the view that the Lord Jehovah was an Extra-terrestrial. We are told that he resides in heaven (space) and from time to time comes to Earth to see what is going on. If you read from Exodus 19:15 through to 19:21 you will find how the children of Israel had a close encounter with their ‘God’ who came down onto Mt. Sinai in clouds and spoke to Moses. Obviously this god hidden in the clouds is not omnipresent. The Biblical literalist says that you must accept that an omnipotent god created the world in six days and then rested. The God who is the Absolute, the ultimate Creator of everything, needs rest? What kind of a god are we dealing with here?
Christopher Knight and Robert Lomax, authors of the best selling book The Hiram Key, came to the following conclusion about the Lord of the Hebrew Bible:
If the stories contained in the Bible are accepted, then the original God of the Hebrews was in reality a figurehead who justified invasion, theft and slaughter, with much in common with Genghis Khan! It amazes us that many Christians believe that the Old Testament is a real historical record of events, despite the fact that it portrays God as a vain, vengeful maniac without a drop of compassion. Besides ordering the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in the cities he ordained should be stolen from the indigenous population, he also was known to attack his friends for no apparent reason.
Clearly, the Lord Jehovah is a malevolent Extra-terrestrial who, by his own admission, seeks to dominate human kind and force them to obey his will!
It was the contention of the Gnostics, who taught openly in the first three centuries AD, that this Lord Jehovah is a tyrannical usurper and inferior imposter. Jehovah, they proclaimed, is a wicked supernatural being who sought to pass himself off on his deceived followers as the ‘One God’ and ‘Supreme Being’. For the Gnostics, Jehovah, who according to the Hebrew Bible is a jealous war god, is not the loving Heavenly Father revealed by Jesus the Christ. Jehovah is actually SatanaEl, the eldest son of the Most High God El, a Mighty Shining One (Elohim) who rose in revolt against the Father and was exiled to this area of the universe. The Gnostics saw him as the prince of this world and the one to whom all humanity is in bondage, but his very limits and defects postulate the existence of a higher, perfect, eternal, invisible, good god. The real Supreme One known anciently as El the Most High and which the Gnostics call the Father.
Another obvious proof that Jehovah is none other than the Adversary Satanael, the Gnostics argued, was his promise of worldly possessions in recompense for obeying his law. The Hebrew god only offers power and the things of this world to his deceived followers, and this said the Gnostics, shows his real nature. This is also why the Old Testament dwells on ritualism, social observance as well as rewards and punishments in this temporal life on Earth. The Hebrew Bible knows nothing of the superior Realm of Light.
Remember that in the first chapter of Genesis, the Elohim said, “Let us make man” - creation by Divine Fiat. In Genesis chapter two, YHWH (Lord Jehovah) “formed” the body of Adam (see George M. Lamsa’s Holy Bible from the Ancient Eastern Text). Both a literal and symbolic meaning apply. Adam represents the astral or solar race who are trapped in bodies of flesh, but is also an experience of one soul - the first Adam.
Robert W. Krajenke, in his commentary on the Readings from the devout Christian psychic Edgar Cayce, says:
The Fall of Adam is representational of the fall in flesh of the perfect race. They also were tempted by the possibilities for experience in a material world. Eventually they lost the consciousness of their spiritual ideal and purpose for entering the world.

The origin of the spirit is the Most High God, but the origin of the human race on Earth is the descent of the spirit into matter. That Man has lost and sacrificed much can be seen in the world around us, for the physical life is a privation and a struggle. Man now lives in darkness and comprehends it not. His real element of life is light. In turning toward matter and wanting to experience the pleasure of the body, the spirit forgets its own true identity. As the Gnostics say, “It forgets its original dwelling place, its true centre, its eternal being.”
As a consequence of the fall of Adam, the incarnating astral seed lost the remembrance of their heavenly origin and the original mission for which they volunteered. These children of the Most High God now in mortal bodies of flesh, exiles from the celestial realm, were trapped in the material world of the Adversary. Further, they forgot what they really are, thinking of themselves as just physical bodies!
Unfortunately, the records of the interaction of the Elohim with Earth were largely destroyed when shattering cataclysms ended Atlantis.
Also there is a tradition that the famous Alexandrian Library once housed a magnificent collection of ancient scriptures and records. Scholars and priests from all over the world were said to have come there to study the old papyri that survived from lost Atlantis. The entire Hellenistic world was once familiar with the Ancient Wisdom teachings concerning mankind’s origin and destiny. When the last documents were destroyed along with the Alexandrian Library, a great conspiracy brought on a terrible darkness that enveloped the true history of human kind.
The Great Conspiracy
Now we must pass beyond the immediate and apparent meaning of the outline provided above and examine the deeper spiritual meaning. As we read in the Gnostic Gospel of Philip: “Truth did not come into the world naked, but it came in types and images. One will not receive truth in any other way.”
All this information confirms the ancient idea that Man was conceived in the Divine Mind and came forth in the upper world of light. In a Gnostic gospel Jesus says, “Blessed is man since he existed before he was born. For all things were created, but man pre-existed.”
The survival of this original mystic doctrine can be seen in the prayer of a Syrian sect that implores, “Deliver us from these human forms and re-clothe us in the light among the stars.”
A true human being is a spiritual being, possessing a Divine Spark which has fallen into the world of birth, generation, fate and decay. Hence the Gospel of John identifies the Logos or Word with “The true Light” that “lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” The Gospel of Thomas declares: “There is a light within a man of Light and he illuminates the whole world.”
David Fideler explains:
Putting on the rags of mortality, we have descended from the ‘Fullness’ (Pleroma) of Light, the timeless realm of perfection, and have forgotten our true nature, heritage and birthright. Our existence on earth is a sleep, until some type of call, messenger, or revelation awakens us to the re-cognition of our origin and true nature. This recollection represents the birth of gnosis within.

The Gnostic Gospel of Truth declares:
if one has knowledge, he is from above. If he is called, he hears, he answers, and he turns to him who is calling him, and ascends to him. And he knows in what manner he is called....He who is to have knowledge in this manner knows where he comes from and where he is going. He knows as one who having become drunk has turned away from his drunkeness, (and) having returned to himself, has set right what are his own.

In order to understand evil and the Adversary (ie Satanael, the Devil, the Serpent, Jehovah etc), the god of this world, we must be reawakened to our true origin, what happened to us, how we became trapped on this plane, and how we can achieve liberation.
There are two Principles, one of things spiritual and incorporeal, the other one of things corruptible, corporeal, and visible. The first is identified with the Supreme God of Light, the second with the imposter god of Darkness.
The Adversary is the steward of the material world but principle of nothing. Only the body is of this world, the spirit is not. Man lies in the deep sleep of ignorance, his powers of spiritual self-awareness stupefied by materiality.
The great teacher Valentinus (circa 150 A.D.) wrote:
From the beginning you are immortal and children of eternal life. You wished to take death to yourself as your portion in order that you might destroy it and annihilate it utterly and that death might die in you and through you. For when you destroy the world, you yourselves are not destroyed, but you are lords over the whole creation and over all decay.
In The Combat of Adam and Eve, an apocryphal work translated from the Ethiopian, the writer says that the descendants of Adam were divided into two branches: the Cainites and the Sethites. The former, descendants of Cain, were devoted to Satanael, the pleasure of the flesh, and immortality. The Sethites, descendants of Seth, had remained faithful to the God of Light, but they soon began mingling with the children of Cain, “sullied themselves with their impurities and engendered with them children.”
It is obvious from The Combat of Adam and Eve, that the story of Adam being driven out of paradise is the story of someone who came to Earth from elsewhere. Was this in keeping with a special mission?
Transformation
“He that findeth his life shall lose it,” said Jesus (Matthew 10:39). The me you call yourself is totally conditioned by habit, by the world. The part of you that you call I and Me is programmed by society and its institutions. The real you, however, the inner true being, is hidden behind your conditioning. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2). Transformation is then the real purpose of life. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new”

On the other hand the purpose of the Great Conspiracy manifesting in the modern world is to cut humanity off from transformation by convincing us we are just highly evolved animals. The minor conspiracies keep us occupied, sometimes for centuries, and are designed to prevent us from detecting and recognising the nature of the Ultimate Conspiracy: the Conspiracy to Keep us Human.
The very idea of transformation into a new creature is usually portrayed as bad or evil in movies, television and literature. Men become werewolves, vampires and monsters but never angels or the children of the gods. Popular culture has programmed us to reject the true Christ. “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect,” said Jesus.
The goal is Divine Perfection and the path is transformation. Perfection is therefore latent potential, because it relates to the inner being of every human. “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, Ye are Elohim [gods]’...” (John 8:35). “I have said, Ye are Elohim; for all of you are children of the Most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. Arise, O Elohim, judge the earth...”
We find in the Corpus Hermeticum that: “Man is not made lower by having a mortal part, but on the contrary, this mortality enlarges his possibilities and his power. His double role is only possible for him because of his double nature: he is made in such a way that he embraces at the same time the earthly and the divine.” “Wherefore”, we read in another chapter of the Corpus Hermeticum, “we dare to say that man is a mortal God, and that a celestial God is an immortal man.”
The North American researcher William Grimstad identified the diabolical dangers inherent in the supremely anti-spiritual ethos dominating our age. “The materialistic mode has opened the world to subhuman forces that can only be described as supremely dangerous to mankind,” Grimstad observes.
The elites of the modern world are the unconscious tools of malevolent powers. The international Establishment, the ‘movers and shakers’ of our time, control the behaviour of the masses through media manipulation, politics, economics etc. All areas of ‘popular’ culture are under their influence. Programmes of education as well as the sciences are completely controlled by these forces. Rene Guenon explained that behind such movements is “something far more dangerous which their leaders perhaps know nothing about, being in themselves in turn the unconscious tools of a higher demonic power.” The metaphysical ‘powerhouse’ of this Great Conspiracy draws together and directs seemingly divergent human agents.
Is it really that surprising that the world is beset by war, starvation, turmoil and conflict, when the vast majority of humanity worship the Adversary as the Source of All. Mankind’s bloody religious history is incontrovertible proof of the usurper Lord’s deceit. Even in the 20th century his servants keep passing themselves off as the ‘good guys’. They do this to confuse and exploit, planting their supremely evil teachings in order to keep humanity in ignorance. In the name of putting an end to conflict and humanising the planet they are actually debasing human kind to ever lower levels. Consequently these malevolent powers are blocking any possibility of human transformation and genuine transcendence beyond the world.
The international Establishment creates continuous, low-grade social conflict that can be managed to divert attention from its own depredations and justify more government control and conditioning of the population. Remember, Hoffman Nickerson, a personal associate of John D. Rockefeller, argued in his book The American Rich that bureaucratic dictatorship in America is inevitable because of racial, religious and ethnic conflict. Diabolical influences are actually working to promote and then ‘use’ such conflict to ‘prove’ that a ‘Big Brother’ society is a necessity. This is the real goal of ‘conflict management’.
The intellectuals and bureaucrats who implement the conflict strategy in government and think tanks believe the ‘cover’ story. They believe that they are working to ‘perfect’ human beings, that is to eliminate man’s inhumanity to man. They see themselves fighting prejudice, racism, sexism, male chauvinism, etc. It is grim testimony to the power of the Adversary’s agents that the energies of idealistic people are focused on the faddish supremely synthetic issues created by the elite. Such ‘pawns in the game’ are totally oblivious to their rapid march to a global tyranny.
Incidentally, the so-called “New Age” movement - quite obviously - refuses to face the reality that powerful, maligned forces control the world, and are holding the earth and its inhabitants back from the goal of transformation. The popular “New Age” movement is totally compromised and can only lead people into further illusion because it fails to recognise that current humanity, as a whole, is not progressing to a higher state, but is being increasingly degraded in the Dark Age of ignorance. The “New Age” movement ignores, to its own peril, the traditional doctrine that the Earth must be cleansed in the “fire” of the End Time cataclysm, before the dawning of the new Golden Age.
The End is Now!
The age in which we live is one of divinely ordained separation. The children of the Spirit are the Sons of the God of Light and Wisdom. They are called to separate themselves from the world and prepare for the soon coming period of Great Tribulation that marks the end of the long Dark Age.
The battle lines between the End Time Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness are drawn. The middle ground is shrinking, the day of Awakening is now. John records the admonition of Christ “because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth” (Revelation 3:16). Each of us must choose our eternal destiny and act in accord with either the influences of light and life, or materialist darkness and death!
Many people are concerned about the changes taking place in the world around them. People are worried about ‘Big Brother’ or the emerging global empire, euphemistically termed the ‘New World Order’. But frankly, what is the value of this ‘concern’ if you are unaware of the source of this ultimate conspiracy? All corrective actions will be illusory and futile. And we may add, what is the point of being aware of all that is really taking place in the world, if you are not prepared to act in accord with truth? We cannot hold back the flood of evil and degeneracy that is enveloping the planet, but we can escape the cataclysm. We can transcend the bondage of the world order!
The Gospel of Truth observes, “Christ was spoken of in their midst so that those who were disturbed might receive a bringing back, and he might anoint them with ointment. The ointment is the mercy of the Father who will have mercy on them.”
Given the current chaotic state, we must never forget that the struggle which we fight here on Earth is also being fought on higher levels. We must never forget that we are a race come from the heavens and we have now reached the point at which a final conflict will soon take place. We must Awaken to our origin and prepare for the ultimate battle by seceding from the world. We must become a New People, a New Community, with our roots in a superior conception of existence. This is the real challenge! To become co-fighters of the King of Light against the Regent of Darkness!
All this should help us to know the underlying cause of the chaotic conditions and turmoil on earth. This planet is in the middle of a cosmic battle between Good and Evil, and most of us don’t even know it! Even worse, some of us have even ‘forgotten’ about it!
Truth, crushed to Earth,
shall rise again,
The eternal years of God are hers;
But Error, wounded, writhes with pain,
And dies among his worshippers!
