A Gnostic Farewell to Timothy McVeigh!
Let me say it clearly: "I do not condone what Timothy McVeigh did, but I do understand where he is coming from. And I am sickened by the shameless display of government power over life and death and the media hypocrisy broadcast on this day of his execution.
Watching today's media circus on FOX News, MSNBC and CNN, I can not help but wonder whether these reporters- propagandists, are really as simple and ignorant as they come across. Or, whether they are "just following orders and doing their jobs" without relevant personal opinions that amount to more than throwing the word "closure" around. One is reminded of those pictures in history books which show public executions with "the people" watching this public display of government power with gleeful, sadistic pleasure. During the French revolution, they even carried the severed heads of the executed or kicked them into the gutter. This is what Tim McVeighs execution, broadcast over close circuit television to the relatives of the bombing victims, seemed like to me. They even brought them to the prison by bus, to watch and find "closure."
This word that everybody, from reporters to family members of victims, uses these days seems to me to have originated in a government psy-ops lab as a trigger word. Of course, that is just my own opinion, but it is certainly a catch-all word which seems to have appeared out of no-where and is used by just about everybody whenever something bad happens and people try to deal with the aftermath. Somehow, this word leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I refuse to use it. "Closure" appears to me as if triggering thoughts of helplessness, ignorance and dependence on big brother, as I envision a horde of government licensed psychologists approaching to help people deal with event and lead them, through counseling, to this elusive nirvana called "closure."
And now, they will all find their "closure." The Government was all to willing to give "the people" what they wanted so much. The federal government wants nothing more than to "close" the Tim McVeigh case. Are there not so many pesky, unanswered questions? Are there not reports, many very credible, that implicate the FBI and the federal government to the point of knowing ahead a time of the bombing and warning their agents not to be in the building? Some reports, from various sources, even claim that the federal government, through planted provocateurs who travel in extreme right-wing circles, instigated this very act of terrorism. Far fetched, lunatic-fringe conspiracy-paranoia?
I don't think so. I believe that anyone who is not paranoid in these Orwellan days of black-uniformed, Federal Storm Troopers killing unchallenged and with the protection of government- media collusion, is not only stupid, but deaf, dumb and blind.
Perhaps Tim McVeigh would have talked one day and told the truth. But, that would have been a terrible problem for the forces which were behind his involvement in the bombing. Like Oswald and Ray and so many more, he was just a patsy for a group of extremists or even for a botched government operation.
Will the truth ever come out? Not as long as this regime, which calls itself a "democracy" rules. The Kennedy assassinations, as well as the Martin Luther King and Malcolm X assassinations are still unsolved. The Government and it's functionaries are more powerful than ever in these days of "New World Order" and "Free Trade" frenzy. Yet, the people are dumber and less inquisitive than ever and are, in general, not the least bit interested to search for truth behind the hype of "family values" and psychological trigger words such as "closure." As long as their immediate income and personal existence is not threatened, they don't give a hoot about the future and what the government does.
Young people come out of high school without any well-rounded knowledge of history, literature or philosophy. Their schooling consists of "socializing," trying to be "popular" and how to be "accepted" by their ignorant peers, who would condemn any display of real interest in learning as a threat to their own ignorance and thus make the lives of these "geeks" and "fags" intolerable through mental and physical taunting.
Their teachers are often uninspired bureaucrats of the system who only look to survive the office and school-board politics of their "work-place" and nothing more. These young people are taught at an early age to be "competitive" and ruthless when it comes to jobs, money and "popularity". To be a "winner" is what counts. Knowledge and inquisitiveness are ridiculed in subtle and not so subtle ways. Competitive sports are idolized as symbolic expressions of this destructive philosophy which originated with the Calvinist - Protestant theology of the pilgrims and became the WASP excuse and moral justification for exploitation and ruthless capitalism. And it still is the foundation of American "elite" thinking and actions in domestic issues as well as in foreign relations. No nation has been more hypocritical and self-righteous then the United States. Another part of this Calvinist theology is the idea that rigorous physical exercise, such as school-sports, is of utmost importance because it prepare young men for war. And war is seen as blessed by this Jehovah God.
The "ugly American" is still alive and well, but he now travels in a better disguise. He has learned how to use the results of mind-control experimentations conducted on innocent people by the CIA and other "agencies" with some help of nazi scientists and assorted SS psy-op specialists. And it seems to work. No matter how much is known about government programs and the abuse, torture and deaths of countless innocent people and no matter where it took place, the American people and the people around the world keep on believing that America is God's kingdom on earth. Why? Because of the skilful use of relentless propaganda and the cover up co-operation of a corrupt press and mass-media.
How do these people, who call so relentlessly for Tim McVeigh's death and who are so much in need of "closure," justify what is done by their government, which should mean, in their name, to peoples all over the world. How, indeed, do they make their peace with those actions, carried out by their own government, which brutally kills people in undeclared wars? Are they really so smug or ignorant, that they can't see what is going on all over the world? The continuous bombing of Iraq and the bombing of Kosovo under pretext of "genocide prevention," as well as the bombing of Libya under a pretext that the US government knew quite well was a lie. And, of course, the killing of thousands of civilian "reds" in Chile, by support, promised by Henry Kissinger to General Pinochet, of the US government and the CIA during the Coup against the democratically elected Allende government in Chile. Of course, this is not to mention the internal atrocities committed by US government agencies such as BATF, FBI, CIA, NSA and God knows what other groups, against its own people. Yes, Waco, Ruby Ridge, and the endless number of not so famous cases. The media mentions McVeighs pre-occupation with Waco and Ruby Ridge like he is a compulsive-obsessive lunatic for feeling hatred and anger towards the federal government because of it. Who really is crazy here, the people who throw the word "closure" around like it is some kind of panacea to get rid of the ugliness of life, or Tim McVeigh who was so deeply moved by the murders at Waco and Ruby Ridge. He was one of the few who was sensitive and selfless enough to contemplate action to strike back at the oppressors. Unfortunately, he was drawn into the web of a right-wing fringe which was deeply infiltrated with FBI and CIA operatives and assorted kooks who used him eventually to do their bidding.
How do the people, who are demanding Tim McVeigh's life in order to find "closure," feel about US government atrocities committed during the second world war? Like the genocidal bombing of Dresden which killed more than 100.000 refugees, mostly women and children and the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. How do they think the relatives of those people ever found "closure"?
Oh, well, were they not nazis and "japs" who deserved to be incinerated? Were those nameless refugees in Dresden nazis? Well, I am sure some where but most of them were just people who were living and trying to survive in a country into which they were born and where they grew up under an oppressive regime and nothing more. They most certainly were not "Teutonic monsters" who wanted nothing more than to kill and subjugate the entire world. They were, mostly, just like the people here in the USA and just wanted to survive and have a decent life. But, the United States government decided, in conjunction with it's British allies, to bomb the hell out of them and kill as many German civilians as possible. And it is not that they didn't know what Dresden was all about. They had the intelligence information and knew that they were willfully committing an act of genocide against mostly women and children who had already lived through an indescribable hell to get to Dresden because this city was considered safe. And then, there were the "brave" pilots of those little fighter planes which even went after those who were able to escape this flaming inferno, and who shot them down in cold blood, women and children, on the roads leading out of Dresden. They even were so dedicated to their orders and patriotic sense of "duty," that they went after those who, covered with incinerated fire, threw themselves into the river Elbe and into lakes and pools. Kill them all was the agenda and they were happy to oblige. Where are those "heroes" now? Have they ever felt the need for "closure"?
Have they found "closure" for their murderous deeds ordered and sanctioned by the US government? Of course, if the government says to kill people in wars, "military cleansing actions," or domestic "operations," it is o.k. to do so, as long as it is not somebody of my own family who becomes their victim. One can even get medals for it and be elevated to the status of "hero." But, God help you, if you see through the veil of propaganda and media hype. God help you when you see and understand the endless lies and mocking hypocrisy of your own government and begin to ACT on this knowledge. Unless you are very wise and very knowledgeable, you can be easily drawn into a sub-culture of intrigue and mental programming where you will be used, abused and destroyed.
Tim McVeigh, young, innocent, sensitive and idealistic, became known as a "totally evil, mass-murderer without remorse or compassion." I say "nonsense," this young man, through righteous anger, became a terrorist because, unlike most people, he was sensitive to suffering and tyranny and wanted to do something about it. What he did was wrong, morally and strategically.
Tim McVeigh was neither evil nor crazy. He could have been one of the best. He was intelligent, aware and looked for answers to questions most people can not even face. He didn't look for escapism and "closure," instead, he faced the beast and wanted desperately to do something to awaken people to the realities of their oppression and enslavement. He wanted to lash-out at the bureaucrats and agents who for a good pay-check health insurance and pension had sold their souls to the beast and killed unscrupulously at Waco and Ruby Ridge.
Of course, the people, brainwashed and numbed by television banality, hype and government propaganda, don't want to be disturbed. Have "the people" who demand his death ever been in need to find "closure" and shed tears for the victims of Waco, Ruby Ridge, Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Iraq, Libya, Chile, Kosovo and the countless other places where atrocities and genocide were committed on orders of the Government? I doubt it very much. The self-righteous, hypocritical attitude, which most Americans display towards US interventions around the world, is quite obvious. Even domestic atrocities committed by their own government against its own people seems to leave them cold and apathetic until it hits home, when somebody of their own family becomes a victim.
The American people need to come to terms with facts which are so obvious and clear, but which they don't want to see nor address in any serious manner away from patriotic hype and government propaganda. They don't need "closure" but "opening" towards an awareness of the hypocrisy and murderous activities of their government and learn to understand how, through this very hypocrisy, sensitive, aware, valuable young people become dupes, killers and "monsters."
Now, that Tim McVeigh has been murdered, I hope those who wanted his death so much find their "closure." Now they can find inner peace in Jesus, or the "knowledge" that this "monster" will go to hell and eternal damnation. "Justice has been done." The Government is happy to be rid of another problem, and the people can rest assured that the Government is "of the people and by the people," and ever ready and vigilant to protect its citizens from "terrorist cooks," "lone assassins" and "evil monsters" like Tim McVeigh.
During the "Nuremberg Trials" which where also a travesty of justice, as well as during all the other "smaller" trials of "nazis," people were executed by the allies for having followed government orders. And yes, there were nazis who deserved severe punishment because of beastly deeds they committed. But, in many, many cases the accused were nothing more than bureaucrats following orders. They never questioned those orders or, if they did, they didn't voice their dissent. Why not? Because, they had good jobs, respect and made a good living and thus didn't want to risk being fired from their jobs, or worse, face concentration camp or even death. Did they know about the atrocities committed by the government, about the horrors and murders in the concentration camps, about the incarcerations and murders of political opponents and dissenters? Well, there were rumors and reports, they say, but, they didn't really want to know what was going on. They wanted nothing but "closure" and to survive those terrible times. Why should one disturb one's self with the reality of things when one can hide behind "Government Orders" and patriotic hype? Why should one even think of "rocking the boat," and risk one's "position" or even one's freedom or even life by asking too many questions. They were good family people and providers who just wanted to make sure that their family fared well. Is that so hard to understand? Yet, they were, nevertheless, accused of complicity with a "criminal" regime and severely punished for this complicity by their allied judges and prosecutors. Some were even condemned to death and hanged. Of course, it was not allowed for the defense, to question or bring up atrocities committed by the allies of which there were also plenty as I mentioned earlier about Dresden. This was not simple justice but "victors justice." Even today, 56 years after the war's end, the German people are psychologically maligned and bombarded by American movies and propaganda specials on television. Books are published and acclaimed which portray the German people like they are borne with genes of monsters who want nothing more than to destroy Jewish people wherever they get a chance. This is 56 years after the war and collapse of the third Reich!!! As if atrocities were only committed by Germans in recent history. Will the German people be ever permitted to find "closure" so that they can go on with their lives? The Anglo-American-Israel connection which has its tentacles in every aspect of world affairs, doesn't permit it though. Too much money can be made, from gullible people everywhere, by churning out more and more propaganda pieces which should guarantee every German counseling by government psychologists, of course, for the rest of their miserable lives. God help you if you were born on the "wrong side of the railroad-tracks"! What makes it even worse is, that Israel with Zionist zeal, follows exactly the same racist course and philosophy that Hitler and the Nazi ideologist promulgated, only with Jews as the "chosen" race and not Aryan Germans. Perhaps this is the hidden reason for the constant barrage of Hollywood propaganda movies. Attack is the best defense. But, what about the people, the German people and the constant trauma they have to live through? Does anybody care?
What has this all to do with Tim McVeigh? You might ask. My point is, that all those people who are doing the federal government's bidding, no matter in what position, should open their eyes and speak up about what is going on, instead of hiding behind their positions and directives. All those secret atrocities committed by CIA operatives and FBI agents in the name of "orders from above" are just as accountable as those committed by nazis or communists during another time and place. What do they think makes them so different from people of other nations and forms of government? Do they really believe that the US government is "by the people and for the people," despite of all that has happened and is still happening? Do they really believe that the US Government and the American people are morally superior to other governments and peoples? Do they really believe that they serve a "just" cause which justifies even murder? Or is it, that they are quite aware of who the rulers are in this "land of the free" and that they "just follow orders" because they are afraid to "rock the boat." Do they think that because they kill on government orders they are exempt from moral judgment? Do they think that if they "play along" as good functionaries and bureaucrats, as lying media reporters and government propagandists, "just doing their jobs as told," that they are morally superior to an honest young man who became so embittered by what he saw and learned, that he resorted to the "unthinkable," disregarding the lives of children and bureaucrats, and blew up the federal bee-hive in Oklahoma? I don't think so. I think that the dishonest, lying bureaucrats and self-righteous, corrupt judges as well as the lying, willfully dis-informing, morally corrupt, media-reporters and pundits, as well as the "closure" crying masses, are the ones who should look into a mirror, face themselves with utter honesty and then point at themselves and say with total honesty: "guilty."
The killing of human beings is never justified. Be it in war or peace, killing is killing and murder is murder. Unfortunately, Tim McVeigh was too young and too angry to find "closure" to the atrocities he had experienced during the Gulf war and the government ordered murders in Waco and Ruby Ridge. He was a young, idealistic man who wanted, like Robin Hood, to take on a corrupt, powerful and ruthless establishment for which he was no match. And he ended up, like Don Quichote, fighting wind-mills of indifference and hypocrisy.
He wanted to leave his mark by opening people's eyes to what is going on in this country and became a dupe for more atrocities. Instead of awakening the people, he aroused in them hatred, anger and the most primitive urges for vengeance. With the government coming out of this mess smelling a like rose. Perhaps Mr. Ashcroft prayed for him in a moment of self-righteous piety. Our president said, that Tim McVeigh's death was not vengeance but justice. How profound. The man who has more death sentences on his conscience than any other elected official is talking about justice? How fortunate for him, that he obviously has no conscience and thus would not understand how a bright young idealist could feel.
While Mr. G. W. Bush went on drunken binges at Yale University and was "initiated" into the secret and ultra-elitist "Scull and Bones" society of the rich and famous, Tim McVeigh grew up in the stark realities of vanishing lower middles class values and dreams. He was considered an all around "good kid" by his teachers and friends. He was bright, perhaps too bright for his own good, and idealistic. When he signed up for the Army, he became a disciplined, exemplary good soldier. He was "hero" material, a willing, eager all American patriot. And then, gradually, he became aware of the dirty realities of war and of what atrocities the armed forces of the United States and it's allies were committing. He came to see the people of Iraq not as enemies but as people and things began to open up in his mind. He began to question his role and the role of the allied armed forces there. When he returned to the US and chose to become a civilian again, he began to see more and more what was going on in the world and in his own country. Corporate fraud, poverty, homelessness, dead end jobs which didn't pay enough to pay the rent. He began to read alternative political and seditious books, which came, unfortunately, from the extreme-right and which were hyped with racist ideas and ruthless demagoguery. From there he came into contact with an extreme fringe of the extreme right which is the "operation field" of kooks, nazis, sadistic skin-heads, British-Israelites, Aryan brotherhood types and, of course, lots and lots of government agents of all agencies as well as foreign agents from Mossad to Hamad. How could this young and still bright eyed, innocent idealist survive in this climate of criminality, racism and intrigue? A sub-culture of sadistic killers, Aryan brotherhood ex-cons, government agent-provocateurs, foreign agents, drug money laundering operations and wild eyed fanaticism. In this crazy, heady environment our all American idealist didn't have a chance. He was marked and became a patsy for an operation of which, perhaps, even he didn't know more than they wanted him to know. He was conned by the "best," by ex-cons and government provocateurs, who made him feel important and part of something real big. Yes, his conscience should have given him some sobering thoughts about his planned actions, he should have bailed out and run for his life. But, youthful, idealistic enthusiasm fueled by righteous hatred had clouded his mind and judgment. And, like so many revolutionary idealists, he caused terrible pain and suffering to the very people he wanted so much to liberate.
An American tragedy indeed, Tim McVeigh will be viewed as an embodiment of evil by those who have neither ideals nor compassion. The wise and politically adept will see him as yet another victim of government hypocrisy and terrorism against its own people.
Mr. Bush has a "personal relationship" with Jesus Christ. He claims to be a true believer. What would Jesus do? We should ask. Does he really believe that Jesus would condemn this young soul and put the needle in his arm to kill him?
God, how perverse these people are. Ashcroft and Bush and most of their "Christian Coalition" fundamentalist true believers. I wished I could believe in an eternal hell, because, it would give me a certain feeling of "closure" to believe that this is where these hypocritical, self-righteous prigs would eventually go.
