Over half a century after the capitulation of the German Third Reich and the end of the Second World War, Hitler and National Socialism still loom large in the public imagination. Adolf Hitler is upheld as the very personification of absolute evil. Countless books and films ensure we never forget the concentration camps, horrific images of death and destruction. To this day, Western governments introduce legislation outlawing the public display of the notorious swastika, while diligently seeking out octogenarian Nazis suspected of war crimes. Hitler and his Nazis reign supreme as the universal symbol of abomination that the modern world loves to hate.

Despite decades of study into the Hitler phenomenon, there is not much attention paid to Nazi connections with mystical and occult elements as perhaps there should be.

A respected British writer on Ancient Wisdom, Nigel Pennick, sees in Hitler and the Nazi phenomenon the perversion of occult forces. “The whole Nazi ethos grew out of a magical view of the world,” says Pennick in Hitler’s Secret Sciences, “and the history of Nazi Germany was forged by strange fanatics whose actions can only be explained in occult terms. To orthodox historians, their crimes can only be dismissed as crazy obsessions, yet in terms of certain well-established occult beliefs, they fit a well-defined pattern. Far from being just another political doctrine, Nazism was nothing less than a deliberate magical attempt to alter the world.”

There is certainly an undeniable occult link in the early history of the Nazi Party. Unfortunately, it is buried in an avalanche of disinformation and sensationalism, promoted in largely spurious books by authors like Trevor Ravenscroft, a former British intelligence officer. Such exaggerated and wildly inaccurate writings serve to screen and distract attention from the real power sources of the Nazi occult connection.

The modern mythology of Nazi occultism, concludes respected historian Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke in his excellent book The Occult Roots of Nazism, is “typically sensational and under-researched. A complete ignorance of the primary sources is common to most authors and inaccuracies and wild claims are repeated by each newcomer to the genre until an abundant literature exists, based on wholly spurious ‘facts’ concerning the powerful Thule Society, the Nazi links with the East and Hitler’s occult initiation. But the modern mythology of Nazi occultism, however scurrilous and absurd, exercises a fascination beyond mere entertainment.”

Goodrick-Clarke’s book does identify a wide circle of philosophers, occult societies and mystical groups, who saw in the chaos that beset Germany after the Treaty of Versailles the working out of ancient prophecies. At the pinnacle of this ‘mystical underground’ was the Thule Gesellschaft (Thule Society).

ULTIMA THULE

“Among the secret societies burgeoning in Germany immediately after World War I...the Vril Society and the Thule Society, otherwise known as the ‘Thule Gesellschaft’ seem most clearly to have given birth to the Hitler movement.”- The Occult and the Third Reich

Formed toward the end of World War I as an offshoot of the Germanen Order, the Thule Society quickly grew into the most powerful secret organisation in Germany. One of its most influential and shadowy leaders, Baron Rudolf von Sebottendorff, portrayed the Thule Society as the custodian of an Ancient Wisdom perverted by Freemasonry.

“The old Freemasonry,” wrote Sebottendorff, “had been a keeper of secrets which they had learned from the Aryan wisdom and from the alchemists.” An article in the July 21, 1918 edition of the Society’s journal Runen gives Sebottendorff’s view on the antithesis between modern Freemasonry and the Thule Society: “We look at our world as a product of the people. The Freemason looks at it as a product of conditions...”

Baron Rudolf von Sebottendorff, the chief architect of the Thule Society, was born Rudolf Glauer in Silesia in November, 1875. After an early life at sea and exploring distant lands, Rudolf found himself in Turkey where he was adopted by an aged Austrian nobleman, becoming Rudolf Sebottendorff.

It was during this Turkish phase of Rudolf Sebottendorff’s life (he actually became a Turkish citizen) that he acquired his vast knowledge of the teachings and techniques of both Oriental and Occidental mysticism. Sebottendorff was initiated into the Muslim Bektashi Dervishes and studied alchemy, astrology and Rosicrucianism.

In 1910, while living in Istanbul, Sebottendorff founded his own secret society based on a combination of Islamic Sufi mysticism, masonry, alchemy and anti-Bolshevik ideology. He fought heroically in the Balkan War of 1912-13 and directed the Turkish Red Crescent. He was also named Master of the Order of Rose Garland (Rosenkrantz). Years later he titled his autobiographical novel Der Talisman des Rosenkreuzers (The Rosicrucian Talisman), confirming a special link with the original Rosicrucian Order.

Regarding Sebottendorff’s Turkish experience, Francis King says:

“It is reported that he became acquainted with the former variety of esotericism (oriental mysticism) by means of direct personal contacts with initiates of various Dervish Orders. There is no reason to doubt this, for Sebottendorff unquestionably knew a great deal about Islamic mysticism, particularly about Sufism in all its aspects.” (Satan and Swastika)

In 1913 Sebottendorff returned to Germany fortified with a vast knowledge and substantial funds from his inheritance. During the next few years he made extensive contacts with the leading members of the ‘mystic-political’ groups rapidly proliferating in Germany at this time. An able organiser and writer, Sebottendorff soon gained the attention of Herman Pohl of the Germanen Order. In the closing days of World War I, Sebottendorff laboured energetically to spread his occult-nationalist doctrines through the establishment of two newspapers, Runen and Munchener Beobachter (eventually purchased by the Nazi Party to become its official journal under the name Volkisher Beobachter).

On August 17, 1918 the Thule Society was founded in Bavaria. Close to two decades later, Baron Sebottendorff wrote of this event: “This decision was important, for Bavaria has thereby become the cradle of the National Socialist movement.” By November of that year the Thule Society had 1,500 active members.

On Saturday, November 9 as revolution swept Germany and the old imperial order collapsed, Sebottendorff addressed the leaders of the Thule:

“Yesterday we experienced the collapse of everything which was familiar, dear and valuable to us...What will come out of this chaos, we do not know yet. But we can guess. A time will come of struggle, the most bitter need, a time of danger...”

Significantly, he closed his impassioned speech by exhorting Thule members to fight “until the swastika rises victoriously out of the icy darkness.” Thule quickly became the focal point for the anti-communist and nationalist struggle across Germany.

Adolf Hitler was not a member of the Thule and would not join the fledgling German Workers Party (the political wing of Thule, later to become the National Socialist German Workers Party) until late 1919. Alfred Rosenberg and Rudolf Hess were active Thulists, both going on to high positions in the Third Reich.

Outwardly, the Thule Society passed as a literary circle devoted to studying ancient German history and customs. Its name derived from the mythological land of the north, the ancient Ultima Thule. Pauwels and Bergier in The Morning of the Magicians inform us: “The legend of Thule is as old as the Germanic race. It was supposed to be an island that had disappeared somewhere in the extreme North. Off Greenland? or Labrador? Like Atlantis, Thule was thought to have been the magic centre of a vanished civilisation.”

French writer Jean Robin argues that the original power sources of the National Socialist German Workers Party were Sebottendorff and the Thule Society, which derived from the Bektashi Dervishes in Turkey (see Hitler, l’elu du Dragon). Like fellow French author Rene Alleau, Robin shows that Sebottendorff’s central idea (or rather, of those who inspired him) was to give a popular movement, still embryonic and veiled by its political structure, the internal coherence of a Prophet with militant followers, forming a sect of devotees comparable with the Ismailian ‘fedayeen’ (Assassins) guided by their spiritual leader, the Old Man of the Mountain. In other words, the idea was to form a militant Order of initiates, with a military and religious structure.

Incidentally, many years later Adolf Hitler said that while Freemasonry had largely decayed, “there is one dangerous element which I have copied from them. They have developed an esoteric doctrine, not merely formulated it, but imparted it through the medium of symbols and mysterious rites....That is to say without bothering their brains but by working directly on the imagination through the symbols of a magic cult. All this is the dangerous element I have taken over. Don’t you see that our Party must be of this character. An Order that is what it has to be. An Order, the hierarchical Order of a Secular Priesthood.”

Sebottendorff claimed his mission was to reveal certain arcane secrets thereby reviving the forgotten Ancient Wisdom, while simultaneously launching a counter to what he saw as the malevolent forces engulfing Europe. The rituals of the Thule had as their aim, the same as that of all authentic esoteric groups, namely dissolving the ‘small self’ so that the ‘divine self’ could become manifest. Sebottendorff taught:

“Once come to the end of our training, we sense our terrestrial body becoming more and more a stranger to us. We cross beyond it. We see distinctly that it has become dust and ashes. It is the lowest point that can be attained, that where the shadows of death and their terrors involve us. It is for this reason that the ancient Oriental Freemasons received into their community nothing but courageous men because the tests reserved for the neophyte were very harsh. Courage and endurance were the two principle virtues that were necessary.”

Following the murder of seven prominent Thulists by the Communists on April 30, 1919, we know an intense struggle broke out within the Thule Society. This struggle was to have a dramatic and incredibly far reaching effect not only on Germany, but the entire world.

From the few records made public by the Secret Chiefs of Thule, we know that corrupt and sinister forces, only identified as the “brothers of darkness”, tried to gain control of the Society and reverse its authentic spiritual current. They sought to invert the original mission of Thule and produce a counterfeit image. This led the few true initiates to withdraw from Thule and the society declined, until in 1923 Baron Sebottendorff fled Germany for Turkey. The following year he published Praxis of old Turkish Freemasonry, a study of the practice of Islamic alchemy that influenced the novelist Gustav Meyrink.

A process of counter-initiation was triggered, of which, as Jean Robbin shows, Hitler was the primary, if unconscious, agent. Hitler himself confessed to being a “sleep walker on the way Providence dictates” and “living in a dream”.

The Nazi SS leader, Walter Schellenberg, wrote of Hitler in his memoirs:

“...This idea of himself as the German Messiah was the source of his personal power. It enabled him to become the ruler of 80 million people - and in the space of 12 short years to leave his ineradicable mark on history.”

Recall that the French esotericist Rene Guenon warned how false Messiahs become the unconscious tools of malicious supernatural forces:

“When you reflect that these false Messiahs have never been anything but the more or less unconscious tools of those who conjured them up, and when one thinks more particularly of the series of attempts made in succession in contemporary times, one is forced to the conclusion that these were only trials, experiments as it were, which will be renewed in various forms until success is achieved....But might there not be, behind such movements, something far more dangerous which their leaders perhaps know nothing about, being in themselves in turn the unconscious tools of a higher demonic power?”

The post-1945 world owes much to the Nazis. Here is the great paradox. Without Hitler and the holocaust there would likely be no Zionist State of Israel. Without the Nazi invasion of Russia there may well have been no Cold War. Not to forget the numerous technological advances that derive directly from Nazi research, some of it first carried out in the Nazi death camps. Indeed it is also difficult to conceive of the Western liberal values that dominant the second half of the twentieth century without their Nazi demon. Hitler provided the West, sated on its own self-righteousness and brutal colonialist past, with the perfect other, the ideal devil. As Roger Garaudy, the French political philosopher, observed:

“Hitlerism was a human catastrophe which, unfortunately, had a precedent in the policy applied over five centuries by the European colonialists to ‘colored people’. What Hitler did to white people, they did to the American Indians, of which they killed 75% (also through forced labor and epidemics, even more than through massacres); just as they did to the Africans, of which they deported between 10 and 20 million, which means that Africa was robbed of 100 to 200 million of its inhabitants since ten people had to be killed for one to be taken alive during capture by the slave-dealers.”

The shocking spectre of Nazi evil suited both the capitalist West and the communist East. To speak of Hitler’s crimes was for the Western colonialists to have their own crimes forgotten, as it was a way for Stalin to mask his own ferocious repression.

Nevertheless in defeat and ignominy Hitler invariably shaped the modern world. Was the root of this diabolical process the reversal of a powerful spiritual current?

The distortion of the original impulse behind the Thule Society accelerated the cosmic forces of decay. War, misery and death were unleashed on an unprecedented scale. The labour camps, mass slaughter, global upheaval, and a decomposing world are only its more obvious bitter fruit.

“BEFORE HITLER CAME”

In the 1920’s Baron Sebottendorff was inducted into the Imperial Constantine Order, a virulently anti-Communist secret society, and acted as their secret agent when he returned to Germany from Turkey in 1933. Turkish Freemasonry had kept the Ancient Wisdom intact. “It must be shown,” wrote the Baron, “that Oriental Freemasonry still retains faithfully even today the ancient teachings of wisdom forgotten by modern Freemasonry, whose Constitution of 1717 was a departure from the true way.”

A few months after the establishment of the Nazi regime, Rudolf von Sebottendorff published in Munich a fascinating book titled Before Hitler Came - Documentaries From the Early Epoch of the National Socialist Movement. The author stated right at the outset: “Thule people are the ones to whom Hitler first came.” The remarkable revelations therein proved to be quite threatening to the Nazis and when a second edition of the book appeared in early 1934 the Bavarian political police stopped the publication of the book and with the aid of the Gestapo seized all traceable copies and had them destroyed.

With his book suppressed by the Nazis, Sebottendorff was arrested by the Gestapo in 1934, interned in a concentration camp and then expelled to Turkey, where he died under mysterious circumstances in 1945 at the end of the world war.

In Before Hitler Came Sebottendorff offers a detailed discussion of the importance of Islam and the Ancient Wisdom that he felt gave the Muslim faith a special dynamism. “Islam,” he wrote, “is not a static religion; quite the contrary its vitality is greater than Christianity.”

Sebottendorff believed that the esoteric tradition of Islam, particularly Sufism, was the purest stream of Ancient Wisdom and that it had nourished European occultism through the Rosicrucians, alchemists and authentic Freemasons of the Middle Ages. He claimed:

“No one can accuse me of profanation, nor of sacrilege in uncovering the course of these mysteries...It is the means that the communities of dervishes traditionally use in order to acquire special strength by means of unusual techniques. They are, for the most part, men who aspire to the highest rite, that from which come those who have been prepared for their missions as spiritual leaders of Islam...This high rite is the practical basis of Freemasonry, and it inspired in times past the work of the alchemists and of the Rosicrucians...But to reply to the accusation of my being guilty of some kind of treachery: I say to you plainly that this book has been written on the instructions of the leaders of the Order.” (Bevor Hitler Kam as cited by Jean-Michel Angebert, The Occult and the Third Reich)

Sebottendorff then proceeds to explain why “the leaders of the Order” directed him to write Before Hitler Came:

“A vast organization of disbelief, of monstrous proportions, intends to bend to its will the civilized world. The religious institutions have been so gravely weakened that they are not even capable of pulling themselves together, let alone putting up a united front. If spiritual leaders do not come forth in the West, chaos may bring down everything into the abyss. In this kind of danger, the Moslem Brotherhood recalled that tradition had it that there was a time, in Europe, when men possessed ultimate knowledge...The imminent danger dispelled every objection to the publication (of this work).” (Bevor Hitler Kam as cited by Angebert, op. cit.)

Sebottendorff often spoke of the rediscovery of some lost thread of knowledge that once was “a torrent which nourished everything at the time of primitive Christianity, and which in the Middle Ages gave rise to the most marvellous civilisations”. His references to “communities of dervishes” and a “Moslem Brotherhood” point us to the custodians of this lost Wisdom.

Rene Alleau relates that Sebottendorff also wrote that: “...‘secret Muslim Masters’ had entrusted him with the mission of ‘illuminating’ Germany through the revelation of the secrets of advanced magic and initiation into ancient Oriental mysteries.” (Hitler et les Societes Secretes)

How does one evaluate or reconcile Sebottendorff’s Oriental Islamic mysticism with the Thule Society’s stated aim to revive pagan ‘Aryan’ culture, symbolism, and mythology? The two traditions are not as mutually exclusive as they may first appear. E.H. Palmer, in his widely respected 19th century text Oriental Mysticism, held that Sufism is “the development of the Primaeval religion of the Aryan race”. Both the Rosicrucians and the Freemasons of Europe find the ultimate source of their teachings in the Orient. Sufi-European links are discernible in much of the West’s hidden history.

A 9th century Celtic cross, now in the British Museum, incorporates the Islamic Arabic declaration Bismillah ir Rahman ir Rahim, suggesting close connections. The Sufi Master, Hakim Jami, said that Sufism predated the Prophet Mohammed, declaring that Plato, Hippocrates, Pythagoras and Hermes were part of an unbroken line of Sufic transmission. As an initiate of Islamic mysticism, Sebottendorff could rightly call himself a Rosicrucian, a Muslim Brother, and an Odinist.

Sebottendorff drew from Oriental Freemasonry a complete initiatory system requiring a probationary period before the admittance of a candidate to the Thule Lodge. Once admitted the member had to take a ritualistic vow of obedience and loyalty. “Symbolically,” wrote the Baron, “it was the return to Halgadom.”

Halgadom was central to the Baron’s mission. According to Jean Mabire, Sebottendorff had as his ultimate goal the creation of a spiritual community that he called Halgadom.

“This temple of Halgadom is simultaneously spiritual and material. It belongs to earth and to heaven, to the past and the future. It is the Hyperborean equivalent of the Ark of the Covenant of the Israelites. Halgadom, in Sebottendorff’s mind, far surpasses that Second Reich which Wilhelm’s Germany had incarnated since 1871. It is the empire of all the Germans, but also many other Europeans: the Scandinavians, faithful to their Nordic origins; the Netherlanders, more German than the Germans; the British, divided between Celts and Saxons; the French, heirs of the Franks and regenerated by the Normans or the Burgundians; the Italians, in whose veins runs the blood of the Lombards; the Spaniards, who still carry many an imprint of the Visigoths. And also the Russians, whose country was founded by the Swedish Varegs, those Vikings of the rivers and steppes.”

Clearly, Hitler’s Third Reich was a monstrous parody of this profound vision. The Pan-European spiritual outlook of Sebottendorff and Thule was distorted by Hitler and the Nazis into a bloody Germanic chauvinism.

The core of National Socialism was the racism of Social Darwinism, summed up in the myth of ‘Blood and Soil’. A legacy of the nineteenth century which believed blindly in the reality of matter.

In a direct attack on the spiritual worldview, a leading Nazi thinker declared, “We do not agree with the proposition that the spirit creates the body.” The interests of those of ‘Germanic blood’ were therefore paramount. Before this, said Hitler, “considerations of party politics, of religion, of humanity - in a word, every other consideration - can have no place whatever.”

Thus this myth of ‘Blood and Soil’ was one of physical ties, of heredity, of the land, of living space, of property, of possessiveness, of natural life. And as William Blake noted: “Nature teaches nothing about spiritual life, only about natural life. The devil is the mind of natural structure.”

This narrow Germanism ultimately cost Hitler the war.

“Thus it fell out that Hitler’s Germany missed the mark, and it is very fortunate that it missed it; for it was necessary that things should have happened as they did, and not otherwise”, writes the novelist Jean Parvulesco in La Spirale Prophetique. “Why should the Europe of the End have been a German Europe? The Europe of the End must be European, and it will be so; the Europe of the End cannot be otherwise than European. For such is the sole question that is truly and totally revolutionary at the present time, the sole liberating question: when the time comes (and it is already here), will the European nations find, in their deepest selves, the burning reality of the ‘nation before all the nations,’ the transcendental legacy of the ‘Indo-European nation’ of our former origins?”

Hitler had little time for the revolutionary pan-European vision of Thule and only used it to get him on the road to power. His dream of a Thousand-year Reich had no room for the love of individual liberty with which the Thulists romantically endowed their ancestors. Advocating ‘mysticism as politics’ and calling for a ‘spiritual revolution’, the Thulean vision was ruthlessly stamped out by the Nazi state. Addressing the 1938 Nazi Party Congress, Hitler said:

“At the pinnacle of our program stands not mysterious premonitions, but clear knowledge and hence open avowal. But woe if the movement or the state, through the insinuation of obscure mystical elements, should give unclear orders. And it is enough if this lack of clarity is contained merely in words. There is already a danger if orders are given for the setting up of so-called cult places, because this alone will give birth to the necessity subsequently to devise so-called cult games and cult rituals. Our cult is exclusively cultivation of that which is natural and hence willed by God.”

One of the few early members of the Thule Society not purged from the Nazi Party in the 1930s was Hitler’s close advisor Rudolf Hess (1894-1987). Hess, strongly influenced by the ideas of Sebottendorff, ate biodynamic food, studied Rudolf Steiner’s Anthroposophy, as well as mysticism, astrology and herbalism. After Hitler’s coming to power, Hess had applied for a substantial grant to establish a cult place, the Central Institute of Occultism, but this never materialised.

No one more than Hess knew the secrets of the early Nazi links with the Thule. Was this the reason the victorious Allies had Hess held in isolation in Spandau prison for over 40 years?

Jean Mabire shows that Hess’s flight to Britain in May 1941 on a desperate mission to bring an end to the war, was the last attempt of the old Thule Society - long dissolved or driven underground - to counter the actions of a Fuhrer who had so completely deformed their vision. We read in Jean Mabire’s Thule: Le soleil retrouve des Hyperboreens:

“Hess knew of the projected attack on Russia. He wanted to warn the English. It has been said that he dreamed of a reversal of alliances. I believe that it was even more complicated. He simply wanted peace. He hoped to defuse this bomb, more fatal than the atomic bomb. He knew the inner workings of the regime well enough to know that the Fuhrer was not only going to attack the East, but that he could only be following the most stupid of politics. Hess had understood that it was certainly not the spirit of Thule that was reigning in Germany, but the narrowest pan-germanism. All these Gauleiters from South and West Germany understood nothing of the Slavic world. Have you already noticed how little importance the North and East Germans had in this Third Reich, which considered itself so ‘nordic’? I think that the Baltic Germans would not have allowed such elementary and, to be honest, such criminal foolishness.”

Only days after Hess’s arrival in Britain, the official Nazi Party newspaper the Volkischer Beobachter published an article that included the following:

“As was well known in Party circles, Rudolf Hess was in poor health for many years and latterly increasingly had recourse to hypnotists, astrologers and so on. The extent to which these people are responsible for the mental confusion that led him to his present step has still to be clarified.”

Warrants were issued for the arrest of Hess’s adjutants, a number of his close friends and even his chauffeur. Hundreds of other people including astrologers, faith healers, spiritualists, Anthroposophists and mystics of every kind, were rounded up by the Gestapo to die in the concentration camps.

OCCULT REICH?

The notorious Aleister Crowley in the early years of World War II made a study of Hitler’s ideas, at the behest of the British intelligence service. While attracted to many of the German Fuhrer’s pronouncements Crowley concluded that Hitler was probably a “Black Brother.” An interesting admission from the self-proclaimed ‘Great Beast 666’.

In Nazi Germany Occultists, along with the original National Socialists opposed to Hitler, where the first inmates of the concentration camps. The Nazis closed the Masonic Lodges, the lodges of the OTO (Ordo Templi Orientis), the Order of New Templars and the Theosophical Society. Occultists were purged from all areas of public service. For example, all Austrians who held government posts had to take oaths that they were not members of the Freemasons. Dennis Passero publisher of The Conspiracy Tracker, after an intensive study of available material, concluded, “Hitler’s war was a war against the occult...”

National Socialism could not, however, avoid its early influences. Baron Sebottendorff’s Thule Society acted as the defacto parent organisation to the Nazi Party. There is no doubt that it provided the perfect environment for the birth and meteoric growth of National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP).

The French writers of The Morning of the Magicians, Pauwels and Bergier, come close to the truth when they recognise of secret societies:

“We believe that these [secret] societies, great or small, related or unrelated, with or without ramifications, are manifestations, more or less apparent and more or less important, of a world other than the one in which we live...The rise of Nazism was one of those rare moments in the history of our civilization, when a door was noisily and ostentatiously opened on to something ‘Other’. What is strange is that people pretend not to have seen or heard anything apart from the sights and sounds inseparable from war and political strife.”

The Thulean stimulus succumbed to corruption and distortion. The original mission of Thule was to give birth to an agent of the everlasting Forces of Light and Life amidst the growing darkness of the Dark Age. A conception was arranged but the birth had to be delayed. The Nazi Party of Adolf Hitler became a monstrous travesty, intoxicated on power and force. A deadly perversion of a higher impulse. A vehicle at the disposal of the cosmic forces of disintegration, chaos and death.

Ernst Niekisch (1889-1967) was a truly great German thinker who saw the colossal dangers in Hitler’s National Socialism. Unlike so many others, Niekisch actively opposed Hitler and publicly denounced the Nazi agenda. In his paper Widerstand, which he founded in 1926 to advocate a policy of friendship towards the Soviet Union, Niekisch exposed Hitler’s treachery and opportunism. With the triumph of Nazism, the paper was banned in 1934 and three years later the Gestapo arrested Niekisch and interned him in a concentration camp until the end of the war.

Niekisch advocated an “elite of the spirit” in opposition to the banal demagogy and ruthless populism of Hitler’s Nazism. He wrote:

“The spiritual elite derives its authority from the power of the masses and has the prospect of an exalted political position only in so far as it is able to win the trust and devotion of the masses. With the help of the masses it can unsaddle the landowning and plutocratic elite....But this elite has a dangerous rival in the form of individuals obsessed with power and glory who descend to the level of the primitive masses and are able to win a mass following not through the way they selflessly pursue their real interests, but through irresponsible predictions and promises of good times ahead. These are the demagogues who, armed with pseudo-dogmas and pseudo-ideologies, turn the heads of the masses and thwart the attempt of the spiritual elite to establish the rule of reason and morality. The Hitler-Reich was an example of the triumph of demagogy over a spiritual elite. The demagogue is the travesty of the spiritual leader: he eclipses him and makes everything play into the hands of the landed or money elite.”

A metaphysical foundation is still essential for united action in the present Dark Age. The reader would do well to contemplate the words of Jean Parvulesco:

“...the surest way of understanding nothing of the present business is to go on to confuse the Black Order, as it should be, with its political counterfeits, of which one, as one knows only too well, ended in the most abject nightmare.”

As we enter the 21st Century, is history destined to repeat itself, and replicate the popularity of Occultist movements in Germany and Austria at the end of the 19th Century, the precursor to the Nazi Third Reich?

Following in the Rosicrucian footsteps of Madame Blavatsky and her Theosophy movement, self-proclaimed guru Sir Laurence Gardner, just as Germany's Guido von List before him, is on a messianic mission to initiate the world into his insanely racist delusions that somehow manage to get mainstream publication. His book "Genesis of the Grail Kings" not only attempts to rationalize "Satanism and Vampirism", but tries to justify genocide as the most consistent and appropriate method used by "the Gods" when the Earth's population gets "too large or tiresome" for the ruling elite to handle.

Just as in Blavatsky's "Secret Doctrine", Gardner spuriously invents elaborate genealogies "proving" that the Grail bloodline aristocratic families and the Aryan race are the result of "genetic engineering and cloning by the Annunaki Gods who visited this planet at the dawn of civilization". The "Afro-Asian sub-races were specifically created to be their slaves" and "serve the Annunaki by providing them with food, drink and habitation" while these rulers "spent a great deal of time drinking wine and quarrelling".

These theories are nothing more than an elaboration of Blavatsky's "Atlantean Master Race" jargon, but take into account the discovery of Sumerian myths on clay tablets in the 1920's. Zecharia Sitchen, a self-proclaimed "expert" on these tablets, perhaps unconsciously reveals the true motive of these beliefs when he translates that "the Annunaki Gods created the Black Headed people (Sumerians) to mine for gold in South Africa". Startlingly, his translations were recently validated during a meeting with senior Vatican official Monsignor Corrado Balducci, a member of the Curia and Cardinal Ratzinger's ultra-conservative Congregation of the Faith.

It is ironic that following the publication of his book Gardner was expelled from his position as Chancellor of the Dragon Court by Prince Nicholas de Vere. One may think this was because Gardner dropped the ball and told all, but this is not the case. Sovereign Grand Master de Vere was angry that he had not been given proper credit for these alarming revelations of exactly what goes on in the minds of the power elite. De Vere surprisingly claims to be the true author of the work, having provided archival information and documents to Gardner from the Royal vaults of the Dragon Court, proving that this belief system has been handed down generation to generation through the ages. Now reaching bizarre proportions, De Vere has set up his own website to further educate the "flim flam peasant stock masses" about the "health benefits of Satanism and Vampirism".

Meanwhile Gardner is aiding King Charles I's descendant Prince Michael Stewart to execute a "quiet Restoration in Scotland". It would be additionally disturbing that Prince Michael should be associated with Gardner, who is the son of Gerald Gardner, the notorious occultist and father of modern witchcraft, were it not for the fact that Gardner is also the Presidential Attache to the European Council of Princes, who admit they received funds from the CIA. The links between the European aristocracy, occultism and Satanism, and the CIA is apparently no longer "cloak and dagger" knowledge.

Prince Michael reveals his newest "ambassadors" include an American ex-military intelligence agent and a member of the South African Free State security forces. While Prince Michael is a relatively small fish with huge ambitions, his choice of cronies illustrates the circles he aims to gravitate within, and no doubt mirrors the really big fish like Prince Otto von Habsburg of Austria, Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, and the British Royal Family. Gardner spells out his objectives clearly when he writes they are "born and bred to be leaders of humankind... who await the Restoration of our true universal inheritance".

This would be amusing if it were not for the fact that Gardner recently spoke at Yale's elite "Skull and Bones" secret society and that "Genesis of the Grail Kings" is an international bestseller, being particularly popular amongst the right-wing neo-Nazi conspiracy theorists who like Hitler and the Nazis claim "the Jews are ruling the world through the banks and secret societies, and preventing the true leaders of the elite Aryan race from taking their rightful thrones".

Gardner's rationalization of Vampirism becomes sublime "Endocrinal supplements are used by today's organo-therapy establishment, but their inherent secretions (such as melatonin and serotonin) are obtained from the desiccated glands of dead animals and they lack the truly important elements which exist only in live human glandular manufacture."

The end result of this belief system can be found in the work of Aleister Crowley, who was a major influence on Adolf Hitler, and who was initiated into the original Austro-German Rosicrucian circles, as Scientology creator L.Ron Hubbard also claimed. In Crowley's "Magick in Theory and Practice" he explains the reasons for ritual death and why small boys are the best victims "It was the theory of the ancient magicians that any living being is a storehouse of energy varying in quantity according to the size and health of the animal, and in quality according to its mental and moral character. At the death of this animal this energy is liberated suddenly. For the highest spiritual working, one must accordingly choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest force. A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most satisfactory and suitable victim." Crowley adds in a footnote that according to the records of the Order of the Oriental Templars' Frater Perurabo, he performed just such a sacrifice 150 times every year between 1912 and 1928.

Recent reports by Britain's highly regarded newspaper "The Sunday Times" gave accounts of witnesses describing "Black Masses in which children were killed in front of audiences including prominent members of Belgian society". One investigator said "It was like going back to the Middle Ages". This activity has been linked to Belgium's and France's "paedophile murder ring" which came to light in 1996, following many high-profile arrests by the newly elected government of France. Documentation recovered was signed by someone describing himself as the Egyptian God Anubias, requested "presents" for the High Priestess of the Order, and gave specific details of the age and sex the victims must be. Earlier this year Britain's "Scotland Yard" crime squad began major investigations into organized Satanic ritual abuse and murder.

It is interesting to note that Gardner's prefect Prince Michael Stewart, a Belgian by birth, whose titles include President of the European Council of Princes, Grand Protector of the Imperial and Royal Dragon Court, Grand Master of the Knights Templar, and Archpriest of the Celtic Church, only recently returned to Scotland after living all of his life in Belgium.

Recent extraordinary claims by the semiotically-inspired revelations of British author David Icke could easily be dismissed as lunacy, if it were not for their authentication by Gardner and Drakenberg. Icke's claims that "the aristocracy are shape-shifting Reptilians from outer space who consume children", are no more bizarre than Gardner's "Genesis of the Grail Kings" that candidly admits that their Annunaki ancestors were "serpentine" in appearance, and not only "came down from another dimension" but sustained their power by snorting "a white powder alchemically converted from their stocks of gold". Perhaps the Annunaki were the first drug pushers, and history is their bad trip?

Gardner's claim to be a "Guardian of the Creachaire Portal" may give some idea of what is summoned from the dark recesses of their deeply disturbed psyches. While their minds may appear to be sane, their souls are definitely mad. A Heart of Darkness thirsts for socio- economic-political power, in an attempt to avoid facing the truth of his own inevitable demise.

The Aryan aristocratic bloodlines are not from outer space, but simply came down from the Black Sea region at the beginning of civilization. Recent archeological discoveries by "Titanic" explorer Robert Ballard deep beneath the Black Sea have revealed submerged ancient dwellings and evidence of a Great Flood, which may have created the Black Sea over 7000 years ago. As the Mediterranean Sea overflowed into the region, the washed-out Scythian/Aryan tribes, no doubt angered by the actions of their Annunaki Gods, were forced South towards the early agricultural settlements of Sumer. The hunter/gatherer Aryan tribes promptly enslaved the agricultural tribes of Sumer, and declared themselves their rulers. The Aryans became kings not because of any Divine ordination or extraterrestrial superiority, but simply because they were ruthless and violent predators, apparently with a grudge against God and Nature. And they have been on top ever since, with the same cynical "Paradise Lost" mentality that seeks comfort in the illusion of Power, and the sadistic control of the lives of others.

This deluded perception of reality, not only by the Power Elite, but equally through the unconscious mytho-poetic beliefs of orthodox Roman Catholicism, ultimately led to the schizophrenic crack-up of Nazi Germany, and brought us to the brink of Armageddon.

Rauschning's Phony 'Conversations
With Hitler': An Update

One of the most widely quoted sources of information about Hitler's personality and secret intentions is the supposed memoir of Hermann Rauschning, the National Socialist President of the Danzig Senate in 1933-1934 who was ousted from the Hitler movement a short time later and then made a new life for himself as a professional anti-Nazi.

In the book known in German as Conversations with Hitler (Gespraeche mit Hitler) and first published in the U.S. in 1940 as The Voice of Destruction, Rauschning presents page after page of what are purported to be Hitler's most intimate views and plans for the future, allegedly based on dozens of private conversations between 1932 and 1934. After the war the memoir was introduced as Allied prosecution exhibit USSR-378 at the main Nuremberg "war crimes" trial.

Among the damning quotations attributed to Hitler by Rauschning are these memorable statements:

We must be brutal. We must regain a clear conscience about brutality. Only then can we drive out the tenderness from our people ... Do I propose to exterminate entire nationalities? Yes, it will add up to that ... I naturally have the right to destroy millions of men of inferior races who increase like vermin ... Yes, we are barbarians. We want to be barbarians. It is an honorable title.

Hitler is also supposed to have confided to Rauschning, an almost unknown provincial official, fantastic plans for a German world empire that would include Africa, South America, Mexico and, eventually, the United States.

Many prestigious historians, inculding Leon Poliakov, Gerhard Weinberg, Alan Bullock, Joachim Fest, Nora Levin and Robert Payne, used choice quotations from Rauschning's memoir in their works of history. Poliakov, one of the most prominent Holocaust writers, specifically praised Rauschning for his "exceptional accuracy, while Levin, another widely-read Holocaust historian, called him "one of the most penetrating analysts of the Nazi period."

But not everyone has been so credulous. Swiss historian Wolfgang Haenel spent five years diligently investigating the memoir before announcing his findings in 1983 at a revisionist history conference in West Germany. The renowned Conversations with Hitler, he declared are a total fraud. The book has no value "except as a document of Allied war propaganda."

Haenel was able to conclusively establish that Rausching's claim to have met with Hitler "more than a hundred times is a lie. The two actually met only four times, and never alone. The words attributed to Hitler, he showed, were simply invented or lifted from many different sources, including writings by Juenger and Friedrich Nietzsche. An account of Hitler hearing voices, waking at night with convulsive shrieks and pointing in terror at an empty corner while shouting "There, there, in the corner!" was taken from a short story by French writer Guy de Maupassant.

The phony memoir was designed to incite public opinion in democratic countries, especially in the United States, in favor of war against Germany. The project was the brainchild of the Hungarian-born journalist Emery Reves, who ran an influential anti-German press and propaganda agency in Paris during the 1930s. Haenel has also found evidence that a prominent British journalist named Henry Wickham-Steele helped to produce the memoir. Wickham-Steele was a right-hand man of Sir Robert Vansittart, perhaps the most vehemently anti-German figure in Britain.

A report about Haenel's sensational findings appeared in the Fall 1983 issue of The Journal of Historical Review. More recently, West Germany's most influential weekly periodicals, Die Zeit, and Der Spiegel (7 September 1985), have run lengthy articles about historical hoax. Der Spiegel concluded that Rauschning's Conversations with Hitler "are a falsification, an historical distortion from the first to the last page ... Haenel not only proves the falsification, he also shows how the impressive surrogate was quickly compiled and which ingredients were mixed together."

There are some valuable lessons to be learned from the story of this sordid hoax, which took more than 40 years to finally unmask: It shows that even the most brazen historical fraud can have a tremendous impact if it serves important interests, that it's easier to invent a great historical lie than to expose one and finally, that everyone should be extremely wary of even the "authoritative" portrayals of the emotionally-charged Hitler era.

A footnote: Readers interested in an authentic record of Hitler's personality and private views should look into the fascinating and wide-ranging memoir of Otto Wagener, published in August 1985 by Yale University Press under the title Hitler: Memoirs of a Confidant. Wagener was the first Chief of Staff of the SA ("stormtroopers") and Director of the Economic-Political Department of the National Socialist Party. He spent hundreds of hours with Hitler between 1929 and 1932, many of them alone.

Is War a Ritual Human Sacrifice?

The purpose in exploring the connection between war and religion is to carefully examine deep wounds within the human familial body, particularly that arising from the last World War, a wound still very raw and representing far more than just a brief aberration in human history and in the mass human psyche. Indeed, WWII is a study of the entire human history condensed into decades. It contains all paradigms, ideologies and psychoses that possess the human mind. It represents a culmination of energies that have been fomenting and festering for millennia. And it is not over.

When one studies WWII, it becomes clear that no one group is entirely exculpable and no one is wholly to blame. It also turns out that this hideous affair, in which tens of millions were tortured and slaughtered, could have easily been predicted - and thus possibly prevented - had not history been suppressed, changed and censored for the benefit of a relative few. If there is one thing we can blame in the entire psychotic episode, it is censorship, now appearing in a milder form as "political correctness," which ordinarily would prevent us from discussing these painful and gruesome subjects. Yet the tendency toward fascistic censorship is just one of the ugly aspects of the human psyche required for such an orgy of insanity and violence to continue. The idea of a certain individual, group, nation or race being "chosen" or "superior" is another important factor.

This megalomania is usually accompanied by a belief that a god or THE god of the entire cosmos is favoring this "chosen" or "superior" race, group or individual above all others, an arrogant conceit that should be evident as being false. This mental illness, also called religion, is profound in the human species, and is at the root of practically all wars, those of the 20th century included, despite claims by religionists that Nazism and Communism were "godless" and "atheistic," a charge also laid against early Christians for their disbelief in the typical form of the supernatural. In addition to the following facts: that Communism is admitted by Jewish authorities to be a Jewish creation (Jewish Encyclopedia; The American Hebrew, 1920); that Hitler claimed all along to be a devout Catholic and gave many favors to the Catholic Church; and that Stalin had been groomed for the Russian Orthodox priesthood, is the fact that these dictators, as well as other dictators of the past, believed themselves to be chosen, superior, or destined to rule by supernatural forces that they attempted to propitiate. Be it "God" or the "Devil," it is still religion.

World War II did not happen in a vacuum. It was preceded by millennia of the same behavior on a smaller scale involving the same type of players. In particular, the history of the Germans and the Jews is oddly intertwined, beginning over 1,000 years ago in Germany. However, the conflict between these groups goes back to the time of the foundation of Judaism, i.e., the creation of the oppressive Law (7-6th centuries BCE) that Jewish or "Zionist" leaders imposed upon their often hapless followers. Even prior to that, the area in which Judaism arose was subjected to a number of invasions and continuous battling between and among Semites and Japhethites ("Aryans" or Caucasians). However, they also intermingled, such that "the Hebrews/Israelites" were not of one race, as confirmed by "Ezekiel," who said of them, "your father is an Amorite, your mother a Hittite," i.e., Semites and Japhethites, as well as being "sons of Ham" (Canaanite/ African/ Cushite).

In reality, the creation of Christianity was an attempt to unify these various warring factions, while on the one hand raising up the Jews and their God as "the chosen" ("salvation is from the Jews" Jn. 4:22) and on the other striving to end the exploitative Law and bloody sacrifices of the priesthood, which included human sacrifice and cannibalism. Of course, Christianity also incorporated human sacrifice in its exhortations to martyrdom. Furthermore, in order to end human sacrifice, the Christians had to sacrifice millions of humans! Indeed, human sacrifice was prevalent in many societies prior to the Common Era, including in the form of warfare, crusades, pogroms, inquisitions, ad nauseam, often purported by their orchestrators to serve the purpose of "obeying," "worshipping" or "propitiating" "God" in some way or another.

The Cult of Human Sacrifice

Although many profess to be believers, relatively few people actually read the Bible and are thus ignorant of the blood and gore in the "Good Book," which contains endless accounts of genocide, including against the Canaanites, Hittites, Moabites and others. Indeed, the "chosen" were to kill everyone they could get their hands on, save the virgin girls, whom they then raped. Other Jewish texts such as some of the original Dead Sea scrolls called for the extermination of the "Kittim," i.e., "Japhethites" or Caucasians, and the author of the Jewish apocryphon "Fourth Esdras," written after the destruction of Palestine in 135 CE, wailed that Israel had not taken its "rightful" place as ruler of "the nations" (Gentiles), which are "but spittle" to "the Lord." The Talmud, of course, is notorious for its statements against Gentiles. It is odd that the despicable biblical chronicle of horror and other texts are overlooked whenever the atrocities of human history are broadcast.

One of the most famous biblical stories, that of Abraham and his son Isaac, concerns human/child sacrifice. It is obvious from this story that such sacrifice was common, as Abram/Abraham seems quite comfortable with the notion, and the story is written as if such behavior were implicitly understood. In addition, biblical king after king is murdered, after being anointed, just like the "king of kings," Jesus. This sacred king ritual is what is recorded in the New Testament - not as a "historical" occurrence, but as an ongoing human sacrifice ritual that transpired repeatedly around and in Palestine. In reality, the Judeans were the last in the Roman Empire to give up such practices.

The practice of human sacrifice, found worldwide, appears to have been a result of cataclysms that caused the survivors to believe that the earth, God or some other entity desired flesh and blood, such that he/she/it had caused the calamity to get his/her/its fill. The ancient practitioners evidently reasoned that periodic sacrifices would appease the entity/deity and prevent further cataclysm. Such human sacrifice is recorded abundantly in Frazer's Golden Bough. In Fires that Cry, Anthony Hargis discusses human sacrifice and the sacred king ritual:

Since the penalties of magic fall most heavily on the defenseless, namely children, people who practice magic invariably adopt rites that lead to their extinction. It appears that Polynesians routinely killed more than half of their children. The same was done in some parts of East Africa into the present time. The Jagas of Angola killed all their children, so that their march would not be slowed. They maintained their numbers by taking the boys and girls of whose parents they had killed and eaten. In South America, the Maya Indians murdered all their children except the last... The Carthaginian priests renewed their divine power by persuading the people to sacrifice their children to Moloch. 'The children were laid on the hands of a calf-headed image of bronze, from which they slid into a fiery oven, while the people danced to the music of flutes and timbrels to drown out the shrieks of the burning victims.'

Early in our history it became the custom for the monarch to be anointed by the priesthood. A method employed by the priests to demonstrate the submissiveness of the monarch to the priesthood was to require the king, in a time of national danger, to give his own son to die as a sacrifice for his people. Thus Philo of Byblos, in his own work on the Jews, says: It was an ancient custom in a crisis of great danger that the ruler of a city or nation should give his beloved son to die for the whole people, as a ransom offered to the avenging demons; and the children thus offered were slain with mystic rites. So Cronus, whom the Phoenicians call Israel, being king of the land and having an only-begotten son called Ieoud (for in the Phoenician tongue Jeoud signifies 'only-begotten'), dressed him in royal robes and sacrificed him upon an altar in time of war, when the country was in great danger from the enemy.' When the Israelites besieged Moab, its king took his eldest son and gave him as a burnt offering on the wall.

In the Bible the "wise king Solomon" is portrayed as "whoring after" the Tyrian fire and sun god Moloch/Molech. In reality, the ancient Israelites were not monotheists but worshipped many gods, including Moloch, to whom their children were immolated. In fact, the priesthood of Moloch is that of Melchizedek ("Righteous Moloch"), a mythical character who in the Bible is given authority over not only Abraham but Jesus. Hence, the cult of Moloch is to reign supreme behind the scenes. Thus, it would not at all be surprising if clandestinely these wretched sacrifices have taken place over the centuries, somewhere in the world. We all know very well the story of the Aztecs and their massive and bloody sacrifices. Such sacrifices were extremely similar to those of the Jews (Jer. 7:31), except that when we even recognize that this bloodlust constitutes a significant portion of the Bible and Judaism, we usually think of the Jews as only holding mass sacrifices of animals.

In fact, when the Aztecs/Toltecs and their bloody behavior were discovered, they were likened to the Jews because of the similarities in their sacrifices. Indeed, a number of aspects of Toltec/Aztec culture, including language, are similar to that of the Jews, which has led to speculation that the Mesoamerican natives were one of the "lost tribes" of Israel. However, according to the Samaritans, who claimed themselves to be the Israelites, those tribes were never lost, the biblical story serving as Judean propaganda.

The connection between the Semites and the Central American peoples (including the Maya) evidently goes back much further than the time alleged for the "lost tribes," as the Phoenicians, for one, were likely in South and Central America possibly 1,000 years before the Common Era. Much earlier contact is indicated by the "fingerprints of the gods," but that is the subject of another treatise.

In actuality, like that of the Aztecs, the Jewish priesthood was feared for its sacrifices and cannibalistic ritual practices. This fear was the result of frequent sacrifices of huge numbers of animals. Imagine the butchery! The priest/cohen drenched in blood, with his elbows in entrails, splattering the blood all over the "audience" or congregation, as it were. "Hey, if you don't listen to us," the priest says; in effect, "this is what we'll do to you."

While most people think of "baptism" as being either sprinkled with or immersed in water, it was also common to baptize people with the blood of a sacrificed animal or human, the former of which is overtly reflected in biblical texts. As Dujardin says in Ancient History of the God Jesus: "Often in the sacrifices of expiation the blood of the victim was sprinkled upon the heads of those present, according to the rite of Exodus xxiv. 8, where Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you."

This endless need for the god to be propitiated by blood is also reflected in the New Testament Epistle to the Hebrews: "Indeed, under law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." (Heb. 9:22) The Epistle to the Hebrews also relates to the sacred king sacrifice.

The Epistle of Barnabas, once canonical, is very similar to Hebrews and was originally Jewish. Although the text was subsequently heavily Christianized, it reflects in part the old Joshua scapegoat cult, as also found in Hebrews. The word "Jesus" in the Epistle of Barnabas actually refers to the Old Testament hero Joshua. In describing the passion and "sprinkling with blood," Barnabas is obviously referring to the recurring sacred king sacrifice, complete with "three boys" representing Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to do the "sprinkling" with twigs with scarlet- or blood-colored wool tied to them.

The Old Testament reflects the constant appeasement of Yahweh with blood-atonement sacrifice. This same barbaric concept of blood-atonement represents the very heart of Christianity, as the "scape-god" is sacrificed "for the sins of humankind." The blood of the god purifies, and the expiatory nature of Christ is evident, as is bludgeoned into the heads of millions around the clock by Christian propagandists. The New Testament line, "His blood be upon us and our children," is a stock phrase of the blood-atonement ritual and not an admission of murdering God: Christ's mythical appearance as a "scape-god" was designed to serve as a once-for-all event that would put an end to the periodic blood-atonement sacrifices that had occurred for millennia. As "history" it is insulting and absurd, as Dujardin says, "to imagine that the crowd would demand the death of an innocent man and would wish his blood to be on their heads and those of their children."

Teutonic/Zionist Connection

From the reign of Nero to that of Antonius Pius [80-160 CE], the Jews discovered a fierce impatience of the dominion of Rome, which repeatedly broke out in the most furious massacres and insurrections. Humanity is shocked at the recital of the horrid cruelties which they committed in the cities of Egypt, of Cyprus, and of Cyrene, where they dwelt in treacherous friendship with the unsuspecting natives.  In Cyrene they massacred 220,000 Greeks; in Cyprus 240,000; in Egypt, a very great multitude. Many of these victims were 'sawed asunder,' according to a precedent in which David had given the sanction of his example. The victorious Jews devoured the flesh, licked the blood, and twisted the entrails like a girdle around their bodies. (vol. 2, chap. XVI, part I)

Later, through the conversion of an entire kingdom, that of the Khazars, Judaism continued on and, as before, was not racially determinate, since the Khazars seem to have been both Caucasians and Asiatics, who subsequently became known as the Ashkenazis or Europeans Jews. According to Genesis 10, "the Ashkenazis" were not Semites but Japhethites, or Caucasians.

In the 9th century Zionists (Jews) and Teutons (Germans) allegedly collaborated against the Catholic Church and established a strange partnership linked by their respective priesthood's secret and sickening sacrificial rituals. This group was alleged over the centuries to have engaged in human/child sacrifice, an accusation, founded or unfounded, that gave many rulers in Europe the excuse to expel "the Jews" from a number of countries, including from England by Edward I in 1290, as well as from Spain by Isabella and Ferdinando.

The rebuttal of those accused or expelled was that these rulers simply wished to seize Jewish assets. Nevertheless, what had been done in ancient times by both Jews and Gentiles, i.e., the sacrifice of both animals and humans by immolation and by slitting the neck and sprinkling the blood upon the congregation, was alleged to be continuing in the priesthoods of the Teutons and the Zionists. The Zionist elite, in fact, had been accused many times over the centuries of using the "common Jews" as well as "Christian children" as pawns and sacrificial victims in its quest for world domination, a quest outlined in the Old Testament, the Jewish Apocrypha and the Talmud. That the Israelite priesthood used its "own people" as sacrificial victims is admitted in the Old Testament, in which not only foreigners but "the Jews" are slaughtered by their handlers to propitiate the angry, jealous Yahweh (Ezekiel 9, et al.).

The Burnt Offering

In the documentary Shoah, a 9-hour production in which European survivors of WWII were interviewed, Polish people recalled that as Jews were being herded into trucks they were told by rabbis that this heinous activity was part of God's punishment for "the Jews killing his son," thus invoking the old "Christkiller" aspersion, which was used repeatedly to justify violence against the common Jewish folk and the theft of their belongings. In other words, they were being sacrificed to appease God. Indeed, the Holocaust was even considered by some anti-Zionist Jews to be a result of God's wrath:

It was a man possessing outstanding Judaic genius, and a level of uncontested holiness who enunciated the Jewish stance regarding Zionism. This charismatic individual, the Rebbe of Satmar, Grand Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum, did not mince any words. Straight to the point he called Zionism 'the work of Satan,' 'a sacrilege' and 'a blasphemy.' . . . The Holocaust, he wept, was a direct result of Zionism, a punishment from G-d.

It is common knowledge that all the sages and saints in Europe at the time of Hitler's rise declared that he was a messenger of divine wrath, sent to chasten the Jews because of the bitter apostasy of Zionism against the belief in the eventual messianic redemption. ("Jews Not Zionists")...

This makes one wonder if the Holocaust - "burnt offering" - was yet another of the alleged sacrifices by a joint, secret priesthood and occultically-inclined rulers. The fact that the slaughter was named after the burnt offering of biblical priests, is indeed odd; as is the fact that Hitler received large amounts of money from transnational corporations based in America and Britain. Certainly WWII represents the efforts of a cabal, perhaps the Order of Melchizedek, or Righteous Molech.

The alleged association of Teutons and Zionists is disturbing to many, but there are similarities between the two groups. In the first place, both are the "superior" or "chosen" race - people destined to dominate the world. In the second, Hitler himself reputedly said his ideas of genocide came from the Old Testament. Indeed, the occultic Hitler allegedly considered his behavior to be in accordance with the human sacrifice practices of the ancient world:

Robert Cecil said, 'The Blood of Christ was replaced by the blood of the German war dead.' Their true value to Hitler was as a sacrifice to the blood-thirsty god he served. 'From the Mayas to the Nazis, the shedding of blood to attract the attention of indifferent powers was the magic significance of human sacrifice.' 'He would have sacrificed the happiness of the whole human race if ordered to do so by the mysterious Force whose commands he obeyed.' This mentality caused Hitler to say, 'Our losses never seem to be high enough.

Indeed, according to the "devout Catholic" Hitler and his followers and supporters, which included some Jews, he was the agent of God and Christ, a "priest after the Order of Melchizedek." In addition, Hitler has in fact been associated with Moloch, both in a movie about him and Eva Braun entitled "Moloch," which won the Cannes Film Festival prize for best screenplay, and in the following:

The word 'holocaust,' comes from a third century Greek word 'Holokaustos,' referring to 'the burnt sacrificial offering of the Jews dedicated exclusively to God.' The Holocaust was Hitler's fiery offering of human sacrifice to Satan, just as in the days of the heathen Amorite god, Moloch. The bloodlust of the coming Anti-christ will continue in the tradition set by Hitler making Hitler's incredible hate seem moderate in comparison.

It is also purported that such sacrifices by any number of priesthoods, transcending race and creed, continue to this day in secret sites of the elite. Some members of this elite group, which includes both Jews and Gentiles, allegedly will bring about the destruction of the Muslim "Dome on the Rock" in Jerusalem so "the Jews" can reestablish the Temple for sacrificial rites (ostensibly of animals), an act that would certainly cause major turmoil in the Middle East if not the entire planet. There have in fact been several recent attempts to blow up the Dome, some of which were funded by Jewish/Christian organizations in the U.S.

In addition, as horrendous and sickening as it was, "the Holocaust" was only a small part of the atrocities committed during WWII, most of which were against tens of millions of non-Jews. It seems that over the decades many of these other victims have been forgotten and few have received any reparations, the bulk of which have gone to Jewish Holocaust survivors. Rarely mentioned are the tens of millions of non-Jewish victims tortured and murdered during WWII, in Europe, in China under Japanese occupation, and in Russia under the Marxists/Stalinists.

War Itself is Human Sacrifice

When one studies all the world's entanglements, it becomes obvious that human beings must stop allowing themselves to be programmed with racist and sexist ideologies - and religions are numero uno offenders in that regard: Anti-woman and anti-everyone else who is not "like us." These "unbelievers" and "infidels," in fact, are to be condescendingly pitied, hated and/or killed. Those who believe "our way" are superior to those who do not, according to the pathology.

And so it goes on and on without respite from the earsplitting, insane cacophony. When will humankind evolve? As American actor Gene Kelly said in the movie Inherit the Wind: "Darwin was wrong. Man's still an ape. His creed's still a totem pole. When he first achieved the upright position, he took a look at the stars, and thought they were something to eat. When he couldn't reach them, he decided they were groceries belonging to a bigger creature. That's how Jehovah was born."

The moral of this never-ending story is, of course, that as long as the belief in a god or gods who need to be propitiated reigns supreme, no one is safe. As it is said, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. As we listen to the ongoing blather of evangelists and the like about the Antichrist, Armageddon and the "end of the world," we must be concerned that they will actually bring it about. In other words, their delusion is dangerous not only to themselves but to all of us.

Secrets of Hitler's forgotten library

AS HE opened the book, a trickle of sandy dust fell out. The paper was stained with candle wax and there was a short black hair nestling between the pages.

Dr Timothy Ryback, a researcher and journalist, realised no-one had touched the book since its last owner, a Private Adolf Hitler, read it in the trenches during the First World War.

"I realised this book had never been touched since Adolf Hitler was reading it in his dug-out in 1917,"said Mr Ryback. "After he had finished reading by candlelight, he had closed it and no-one had opened it again."

For Dr Ryback, an American historian and political analyst, it was a revelatory moment, one that convinced him that there are many secrets still to be uncovered in what is left of Hitler's library.

In historical terms, the German dictator and architect of the Holocaust may be remembered as a burner of books, but in life, Hitler loved the printed word and boasted a collection somewhere in excess of 16,000 volumes.

A friend from his teenage years, August Kubzieck, wrote: "I just can't imagine Adolf without books. Books were his world." But generations of historians and biographers have ignored the remaining volumes of Hitler's library, saying they represent only a fraction of the books he once owned and arguing that many were never touched by the Nazi leader.

Dr Ryback, a Harvard-trained historian who heads the academic think-tank called the Salzburg Seminar, has made it his business to pore over the remnants of the collection which have found their way to the Library of Congress in Washington. He has written an account of his research and findings for the magazine Atlantic Monthly.

The 1,200 volumes known as the Third Reich Collection were found hidden in Schnapps crates buried in a Munich salt-mine by United States soldiers from the 101 Airborne Division in the spring of 1945. They were delivered to the Library of Congress in 1952.

The collection was not fully catalogued until 2001, when the "Hitler Library" listed the volumes, indicating which contained the Fuhrer's bookplate - an eagle and a swastika, along with the words Ex Libris Adolf Hitler.

But scholars such as Ian Kershaw, whose two-volume biography of Hitler won international acclaim, have continued to ignore the forgotten remnants of the book collection.

Dr Ryback claims Kershaw now says this was a mistake. "In retrospect, Kershaw concedes he should have at least mentioned the collection in a footnote," he says.

Far from being just a footnote to history, believes Dr Rybeck, as many as 200 of the books stored in the US library were personally owned by the German führer, and many have notes and annotations which offer fascinating insights into the mind of Hitler.

In his perusal of the books, Dr Rybeck has discovered thousands of "intellectual footprints" - dashes, dots, pencil scorings and exclamation marks which betray Hitler's obsessions.

He claims the marginalia alone would provide enough information for several doctoral theses and could lead to a re-evaluation of Hitler and his beliefs.

Among the most heavily annotated volumes are books of Christian theology, marked in a way that shows the development of Hitler's theories about God, man and superman. The evidence contradicts the commonly held view that the führer rejected Christian ideas out of hand.

Dr Ryback said: "What this adds to Hitler scholarship is the fact that he was seriously engaged with issues of substance and it was not just a passing interest."

In one volume by Fichte, a German theologian, the reader has underscored a passage which says: "Where did Jesus derive the power that has held his followers for all eternity? Through his absolute identification with God".

The US collections include inscribed volumes from Leni Riefenstahl, the Nazi filmmaker, Dieter Eckhart, the playwright and National Socialist party member, and from Richard Wagner's youngest daughter, Eva, who married the English anti-Semite Houston Chamberlain. There are books on military history, chemical warfare, vegetarian cooking and the arts, and detailed maps of countries, including the US.

Hitler was not known as a great lover of fictional writing. However, his favourite novelist was Karl May, who wrote schlock cowboy stories particularly for the German market.

In his quest to uncover Hitler's intellectual life, Dr Ryback has also pored over the cache of 80 books on occultist subjects which belong to Brown University in Rhode Island.

The collection was found in the burnt-out remains of Hitler's Berlin bunker by a US soldier, and kept in his attic until 1979, when his nephew decided to donate the collection to the University library.

One of the most heavily- marked books is Magic, by Ernst Schertel, an author whose name is associated with sadomasochism, satanism and flagellation.

In thick pencil, the reader marked a passage which said: "He who does not carry demonic seeds within him will never give birth to a new world".

One of the most intriguing questions in the story of Hitler's forgotten library is the issue of whether a portion of the führer's books is still secretly held in Moscow. Dr Ryback has heard rumours of a secret depository in a church in Moscow, where thousands more of Hitler's precious books are stored.

The historian believes that, if they were ever found, these volumes could shed even more light on the intellectual development of the 20th century's most notorious despot and mass murderer.

Dr Ryback said: "This doesn't make him a better man. It may make him a deeper thinker, but it does suggest a man who was intellectually engaged.

"It isn't the image of the raving lunatic that has been promoted in history."

Erik Jan Hanussen, Hitler's Magician

Released from prison in 1924 after the Beer Hall Putsch got him a light sentence for what was, after all, high treason, his Mein Kampf a best-seller, and his Nazi Party back and stronger than ever, he nonetheless was losing ground in the Reichstag. Hindenburg - the much-respected and very popular President of the Republic - was not pleased with the rough- and-tumble crowd that seemed to compose Hitler's voting bloc, and various ministers were conspiring against Hitler to keep him out of government altogether.

In 1932, they were succeeding. Hitler was facing a crucial election. Members of the Nazi Party were in danger of defecting to other political organizations. His own trusted disciples were dividing the Party into warring factions that could not be controlled And on Halloween night - the pagan Sabbat of Samhain - his mistress Eva Braun shot herself. Although Eva survived what the doctors would later characterize as a serious suicide attempt, Hitler himself knew he was politically dead. It appeared as if he had lost the will to fight, and he began to speak more and more of his own death. He entered the political campaign a distracted, depressed leader who seemed unable to hold his fractious Party together. They lost heavily in the Reichstag five days later - losing seats to the hated Communists - and the press began publishing the Party's obituary. At this nadir of his career, he turned to an old friend whom he had met years earlier, in 1926, in Berlin. This was Erik Jan Hanussen, a famous astrologer and master of several occult disciplines who had - it was said - taught Hitler everything from the body language and gestures to use in public speaking to what friends and associates he should cultivate.

The Vienese Hanussen - whose real name was Herschel Steinschneider, the son of a Jewish vaudeville performer - began his career as what Americans call a "carny," doing odd jobs in a travelling circus, until he began his own newspaper and threatened to publish vile things in it about people he knew unless they paid up! This small-time blackmailer soon became interested in hypnosis and mediumship and published several books on the subject, eventually becoming the darling of the international socialite set, a man who never failed to entertain at parties but who also provided more serious assistance to those of his hosts who needed a horoscope drawn up or a spell cast. He dyed his hair blond to fit his new persona as a Danish aristocrat, and dived into the frantic, heady atmosphere of the early 1930's Berlin competing with astrologers, clairvoyants, and mediums of every description. Although he had never cast Hitler's astrological chart before, now in the late days of 1932 with Hitler morose and on the verge of doing himself damage, Hanussen erected his natal and probably a transit or progressed chart and appeared before Hitler with an eerie prognosis.

Hanussen told his host that there were good times ahead, but that a few "obstacles" remained that had to be eliminated. The implication was oddly surreal. The "obstacles" were not actual people or circumstances. Instead Hanussen claimed, Hitler was the victim of some sort of hex or magical spell.

History has not recorded who might have been responsible for this, and it is possible that all Hanussen knew - or claimed - was that "evil occult influences" were around Hitler, causing him to lose his edge. We may fantasize about a lodge of German magicians, summoning angelic forces to thwart the attempts of Hitler and his Nazi Party to gain power in Germany. We may wonder if a witch or sorcerer - operating alone in some mountain fastness of the Obersalzberg, perhaps - was casting a spell against Hitler for something as relatively trivial as a broken promise or unrequited love, and thereby altering the course of European history forever. We will certainly never know the actual dimensions of this baneful influence around the Fuhrer, but the outcome of Hanussen's meditations was nothing short of spectacular.

In order to rid himself of this evil spell, he said, one would have to go to Hitler's hometown. At the time of the full moon. At midnight. In a butcher's backyard. And remove a mandrake from the ground.

Now a mandrake is the man-shaped root famous throughout European folklore for its occult and medicinal properties. According to some traditions, one had to stop one's ears with cloth or cotton before pulling the root from the earth, as it would emit a piercing scream that would shatter the eardrums. A dog was sometimes used to pull the root from the earth as the magician kept his hands clasped around his own ears. The resulting shriek - it is said - normally killed the dog.

The mandrake is also known for its powers as an aphrodisiac, and as an amulet of protection. We must assume that Hanussen was thinking of this last property in connection with Hitler. Also, the significance of the butcher's yard should not be ignored: such a place would have given the surrounding earth the peculiar quality of a veritable Teutonic orgy of blood, dismemberment, death, and pain, which would have a mystically absorbed by the root itself.

Hanussen decided to perfoom the necessary rituals himself and set off for Hitler's birthplace in Austria, returning on New Year's Day 1933 with the amuletic root and with a prediction: that Hitler's return to power would begin on January 30, a date roughly equivalent to the pagan Sabat of Oimelc: one of the four "cross-quarter" days of the witches' calendar. It seemed an outrageous prediction but - after a series of bizarred coincidences and half-baked conspiratorial machinations on the part of his opponents - Hitler went from washed-up political has-been to Chancellor of Germany with dizzying speed in thirty days and, on January 30, 1933 he assumed power.

Hanussens's impossibly optimistic prediction came true to the day.

That was not the end of Hanussen's ability to predict the future, however, for on February 26 of that same year - during a seance held that evening at his own lavishly furnished "Palace of Occultism" on Lietzenburger Strasse and attended by Berlin's movers and shakers - he predicted that the Communists in Germany would attempt a revolution, signaled by the destruction (by fire) of an important government building.

The next day, the Reichstag was in flames and Hitler had all the excuse he needed to go from Chancellor of Germany to Fuhrer of the Third Reich. European history had been changed forever, and once more the Society Seer was right on target. But, six weeks later in April of 11933, Hanussen would be dead: murdered in a forest outside Berlin by agent or agents unknown. There was speculation that Hitler ordered the execution since Hanussenn "knew too much" or perhaps might even have had connections to the Communist Party (hence his accurate prediction of the Reichstag fir; some mediums and psychics - Hannussen was no exception - are known to "enhance" their abilities by gathering intelligence on their clients ahead of time or by bugging the rooms in which seances are held, etc. In fairness, however, no amount of dirty tricks could have explained Hanussen's accurate prediction of Hitler's enormous success in January). Another version had it that Hanussen's murder enraged the Fuhrer, and that he ordered the death sentence for its perpetrators, Karl Ernst, who was executed during the Rohm purge with a bewildered "Heil Hitler" on his lips. Another story, that SA leader Count Wolf Heinrich von Helldorf had Ernst arrest and murder Hanussen because the count owed him money, is also current. Hanussen was said to have thrown orgies at the count's Wannsee villa, where attractive young ladies - usually "actresses" - were thrown into hypnotic trances and made to mime orgasms. The count was a rather degenerate sort who went through money like schnapps, and wound up owing a great deal to Hanussen, who carried the count's markers with him whereever he went. Needless to say, the markers were never found

And then, of course, Hanussen's father was Jewish, which would have been reason enough to execute the inordinately influential seer. Unfortunately we will never know what happened, for Hannusen died as he had lived: the Count St. Germain of Weimar and early Nazi Germany, a complete and compelling mystery.

Thule Society

In late 19th and early 20th century Germany and Austria there were many flourishing esoteric orders which sought to establish a reborn Germanic identity and to reconnect the volk with its repressed archetypes.

One of the most significant of these Orders was founded in Germany in 1912 - the German Order. From this sprang the Thule Society whose driving force was Rudolf von Serbottendorff. He had been schooled in occultism, Islamic mysticism, alchemy, Rosicrucianism and much else, in Turkey, where he had also been initiated into Freemasonry.

Thule served as the recruiting and political action front of the German Order. Serbottendorff bought a failing Munich newspaper, the Beobachter which he renamed the Volkische Beobachter and it became the official newspaper of the NSDAP.

A movement to promote Thulian ideas among industrial workers and to offset Marxism, was formed in 1918 - the Workers' Political Circle - with Thulist Karl Harrer as chairman. From this came the German Workers' Party in 1919. A year later this became the NSDAP under the leadership of Adolf Hitler.

Serbottendorff himself stated: "Thule members were the people to whom Hitler first turned and who first allied themselves with Hitler."

The Thule society was active in efforts to overthrow the Barvarian Communist Government. Their propaganda effort was aided by a journalist, poet, and occult student Dietrich Eckart, who was the major intellectual influence on Hitler in the early years. The swastika flag adopted by the NSDAP was the brain-child of another Thulist, Dr Krohn.

With the victory of the Nazi Party, the occult tradition was carried on in the Third Reich mainly by the SS, who Reichsfuhrer, Himmler, was an avid student of the occult. An SS occult research department, the Ahnernerbe (Ancestral Heritage) was established in 1935 with SS Colonel Wolfram von Sievers at its head. Occult research took SS researchers as far afield as Tibet. Sievers had the Tantrik prayer, the Bardo Thodol, read over his body after his execution at Nuremberg.

National Socialism and the Third Reich represented a major attempt by high esoteric Adepts to re-establish a Culture based on the Laws of Nature, against the entrenched forces of anti-Life. Nothing that ambitious had been tried since the founding of the American Republic by Masonic adepts. 

The Thule Society inner circle had the following beliefs Thule was a legendary island in the far north, similar to Atlantis, supposedly the center of a lost, high-level civilization. But not all secrets of that civilization had been completely wiped out. Those that remained were being guarded by ancient, highly intelligent beings (similar to the "Masters" of Theosophy or the White Brotherhood).

The truly initiated could establish contact with these beings by means of magic-mystical rituals.

The "Masters" or "Ancients" allegedly would be able to endow the initiated with supernatural strength and energy.

With the help of these energies the goal of the initiated was to create a race of Supermen of "Aryan" stock who would exterminate all "inferior" races.

On April 6, 1919, in Bavaria, left wing socialists and anarchists proclaimed the Bavarian Soviet Republic. The brains of the revolution were a group of writers who had little idea of administration. Life in munich grew chaotic. The counter-revolutionary forces, the whites, composed of various groups of decommissioned soldiers known as "Frei Corps", equipped and financed by the mysterious Thule Society, defeated the Bavarian Soviet within a matter of weeks.

Many other decommissioned soldiers waited out the turbulence in barracks, pfc Adolph Hitler among them. After the Bavarian Republic had been defeated by the Whites, in May, Hitler's superiors put him to work in the post revolution investigating commission. His indictments injected ruthless efficiency into the kangaroo courts as he fingered hundreds of noncommissioned officers and enlisted men who had sympathized with the communist and anarchists. He was subsequently sent to attend special anticommunist training courses and seminars at the University which were financed by the Reichswehr administration and by private donors from the Thule Society.

This led to an assignment in the intelligence division of the postwar German army, to infiltrate groups that could organize the working classes while the communists were weak. On a September evening, 1919, Hitler turned up in the Sternecker Beer Hall where members and friends of the budding German Workers Party had gathered. He quietly listened to the presentation by engineer Gottfried Feder, a Thule Society member, who talked about jewish control over lending capital. When one of the other group members called for Bavaria to break away from the rest of Germany, Hitler sprang into action. The astonished audience stood by while his highly aggressive remarks and compelling oratory swept through the room. After Hitler had finished his harangue, party chairman and founder, Anton Drexler, immediately asked him to a meeting of the party's steering committee held a few days later. He was asked to join the committee as its seventh member, responsible for advertising and propaganda.

Back in 1912, several German occultists with radical anti-semitic inclinations decided to form a "magic" lodge, which they named the Order of Teutons. the main founders were Theodor Fritsch, a publisher of an anti-semitic journal; Philipp Stauff, pupil of the racist Guido Von List, and Hermann Pohl, the order's chancellor. (Pohl would drop out three years later to found his own bizarre lodge, the Walvater Teutonic Order of the Holy Grail.) The Order of Teutons was organized along the lines of the Free Masons or the Rosicrucians, having differing degrees of initiation, only persons who could fully document that they were of pure "aryan" ancestry were allowed to join.

In 1915, Pohl was joined by Rudolf Blauer, who held a Turkish passport and practiced sufi meditation. He also dabbled in astrology and was an admirer of Lanz Von Liebenfels and Guido Von List, both pathologically anti-semitic. Blauer went by the name of Rudolf Freiherr Von Seboottendorf. He was very wealthy, although the origin of his fortune is unknown. He became the Grand Master of the Bavarian Order and he founded the Thule Society, with Pohl's approval, in 1918.

After the Bavarian communist revolution of 1918, the Thule Society became a center of the counterrevolutionary subculture. An espionage network and arms caches were organized. The Thule Club rooms became a nest of resistance to the revolution and the Munich Soviet Republic.

Journalist Karl Harrer was given the job of founding a political "worker circle". He realized that the workers would reject any program that was presented to them by a member of the conservative "privileged" class. Harrer knew that the mechanic Anton Drexler, who was working for the railroads, was a well-known anti-semite, chauvinist and proletarian. With drexler as nominal chairman, Harrer founded the German Workers Party in January 1919

The German Workers Party was only one of many associations founded and controlled by the Thule Society. The Thule was the "mother" to the German Socialist Party, led by Julius Streicher, and the right-wing radical Oberland Free Corps. It published the Munich observer, which later became the National Observer. Hitler became the most prominent personality in the party. He caused Harrer to drop out, and he pushed Drexler, the nominal chairman, to the sidelines. He filled key positions with his own friends from the Thule Society and the Army. During the summer of 1920, upon his suggestion, the party was renamed the National Socialist German Worker Party (NASDAP). The new name was intended to equally attract nationalists and proletarians.

To go along with the new name his mass movement also required a flag with a powerful symbol. Among many designs under consideration, Hitler picked the one suggested by Thule member Dr. Krohn: a red cloth with a white circle in the middle containing a black swastika.

Hitler wanted to turn the German Workers Party into a mass-conscious fighting party, but Harrer and Drexler were hesitant, due in part to their woeful financial situation. The Thule Society was not yet supplying very much money and no one seemed to know how to build up a mass party. Hitler arranged two public meetings in obscure beer halls, and he drafted leaflets and posters, but there was no real breakthrough.

All of this changed dramatically at the end of the 1919 when Hitler met Dietrich Eckart. Most biographers have underestimated the influence that Eckart exerted on Hitler. He was the wealthy publisher and editor-in-chief of an anti-semitic journal which he called In Plain German. Eckart was also a committed occultist and a master of magic. As an initiate, Eckart belonged to the inner circle of the Thule Society as well as other esoteric orders.

There can be no doubt that Eckart - who had been alerted to Hitler by other Thulists - trained Hitler in techniques of self confidence, self projection, persuasive oratory, body language and discursive sophistry. With these tools, in a short period of time he was able to move the obscure workers party from the club and beer hall atmosphere to a mass movement. The emotion charged lay speaker became an expert orator, capable of mesmerizing a vast audience.

One should not underestimate occultism's influence on Hitler. His supposed subsequent rejection of Free Masons and esoteric movements, of Theosophy, of Anthrosophy, does not necessarily mean otherwise. Occult circles have long been known as covers for espionage and influence peddling. Hitler's spy apparatus under Canaris and Heydrich were well aware of these conduits, particularly from the direction of Britain which had within its MI5 intelligence agency a department known as the Occult Bureau. That these potential sources of trouble were purged from Nazi life should not be taken to mean that Hitler and the Nazi secret societies were not influenced by mystical and occult writers such as Madame Blavatsky, Houston Stewart Chamberlain, Guido Von List, Lanz Von Liebenfels, Rudolf Steiner, George Gurdjieff, Karl Haushofer and Theodor Fritsch. Although Hitler later denounced and ridiculed many of them, he did dedicate his book Mein Kampf to his teacher Dietrich Eckart.

A frequent visitor to Landsberg Prison where Hitler was writing Mein Kampf with the help of Rudolf Hess, was General Karl Haushofer, a university professor and director of the Munich Institute of Geopolitics. Haushofer, Hitler, and Hess had long conversations together. Hess also kept records of these conversations. Hitler's demands for German "Living Space" in the east at the expense of the Slavic nations were based on the geopolitical theories of the learned professor.

Haushofer was also inclined toward the esoteric. as military attache in Japan, he had studied Zen-Buddhism. He had also gone through initiations at the hands of Tibetan Lamas. He became Hitler's second "esoteric mentor", replacing Dietrich Eckart. In Berlin, Haushofer had founded the Luminous Lodge or the Vril Society. The lodge's objective was to explore the origins of the Aryan race and to perform exercises in concentration to awaken the forces of "Vril". Haushofer was a student of the Russian magician and metaphysician Gregor Ivanovich Gurdyev (George Gurdjieff).

Both Gurdjeiff and Haushofer maintained that they had contacts with secret Tibetan Lodges that possessed the secret of the "Superman". The lodge included Hitler, Alfred Rosenberg, Himmler, Goring, and Hitler's subsequent personal physician Dr. Morell. It is also known that Aleister Crowley and Gurdjieff sought contact with Hitler. Hitler's unusual powers of suggestion become more understandable if one keeps in mind that he had access to the "secret" psychological techniques of the esoteric lodges. Haushofer taught him the techniques of Gurdjieff which, in turn, were based on the teachings of the Sufis and the Tibetan Lamas- and familiarized him with the Zen teaching of the Japanese Society of the Green Dragon.

in the latter half of the previous century, intriguing hints about Tibetan secret teachings had been carried to the west by Helena Blavatsky, who claimed initiation at the hands of the Holy Lamas themselves. Blavatsky taught that her "Hidden Masters" and "Secret Chiefs" had their earthly residence in the Himalayan region. As soon as the Nazi movement had sufficient funds, it began to organize a number of expeditions to Tibet and these succeeded one another practically without interruption until 1943. One of the most tangible expressions of Nazi interest in Tibet was the party`s adoption of its deepest and most mystical of symbols-the swastika.

The swastika is one of mankind's oldest symbols, and apart from the cross and the circle, probably the most widely distributed. It is shown on pottery fragments from Greece dating back to the eighth century b.c. It was used in ancient Egypt, India and China. The Navaho indians of North America have a traditional swastika pattern. Arab-Islamic sorcerers used it. In more recent times, it was incorporated in the flags of certain baltic states.

The idea for the use of the swastika by the Nazis came from a dentist named Dr. Friedrich Krohn who was a member of the secret Germanen order. Krohn produced the design for the actual form in which the Nazis came to use the symbol, that is reversed, spinning in an anti-clockwise direction. As a solar symbol, the swastika is properly thought of as spinning, and the Buddhists have always believed the symbol attracted luck. The Sanskrit word "svastika" means good fortune and well being. According to Cabbalistic lore and occult theory, chaotic force can be evoked by revers- ing the symbol. And so the symbol appeared as the flag of Nazi Germany and the insignia of the Nazi party, an indication for those who had eyes to see, as to the occult nature of the Third Reich.

'Blue Blood' Blavastsky & The Rise
of Luciferian Aryanism

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!-Isaiah 14:12

LUCIFER, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light.Doubt it not!-Albert Pike, preeminent Masonic authority, Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, p. 321

"A generation would soon be born that had never known a world without Lucifer." Best selling author and world renowned scientist, Arthur C. Clarke, penned these words in his science fiction masterpiece, 2010: Odyssey Two-a book/movie sequel to his ground breaking 1968 work, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Unknown to those who only watched 2010, there was a major difference between the motion picture and the novel. Eerily, the book contained a section titled "Lucifer Rising."

In Clarke's Lucifer Rising story line, the hydrogen atmosphere on the planet Jupiter is ignited. The ensuing new "little" sun is dubbed "Lucifer" and illuminates the earth with its light. The result: darkness no longer existed. Fear, suspicion, and crimes of the night disappear. Mankind has become illuminated through the light of Lucifer.

To occultists and New Agers, the symbology of Arthur C. Clarke's writing was unmistakable. Lucifer, the "light bearer" shines his knowledge (occult "truth") upon all humanity, chasing away fear and ignorance, and providing mankind with the opportunity to discover his own intellect.

While Arthur C. Clarke helped to perpetuate the occult view of Lucifer, the source authority on the subject of the fallen angel is the Bible. According to Ezekiel, Lucifer was an anointed cherub created by God, he was gifted with wonderful musical abilities, and was adorned with beautiful gemstones. He was also a creature of intelligence, possessing memory and a will-and pride. Scripture makes it clear that he led an angelic rebellion against God, attempting to become "like the Most High" (Isaiah 14). In response God condemned Lucifer, along with those angels who had chosen to follow him in disobedience, and removed them from their exulted heavenly positions. Lucifer-an eternal being-is now named Satan, the devil, the king of death, and the god of this world. Scripture warns us about Lucifer's current obsession: to twist God's word, to lead souls to spiritual death, and to assail his wrath against earth's inhabitants-those whom Christ died for.

While Christianity views Lucifer as the personification of evil, the esoteric teachings of the occult and the New Age movement embrace him as an agent of intellectual and spiritual freedom. Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, the "mother" of the New Age movement and modern occultism, taught in her Secret Doctrine that Lucifer was "higher and older than Jehovah, and had to be sacrificed to the new dogma" of the Church. She further expressed in her "great work" that Satan, under different god-names, is really an allegory of "Good, and Sacrifice, a God of Wisdom." Blavatsky believed that Satan was the only god of earth, "is one with the Logos," and is the "cosmic reflection of God."

Blavatsky also equated Lucifer with Jesus Christ. This thinking is partially derived from various mystical interpretations of God's Word. In Revelation 22:16 Jesus is called the "bright and morning star," and in Isaiah Lucifer is referred to as the "son of the morning" (the NIV also says "son of the dawn"). Mystically and astrologically speaking, the bright and morning star is Venus, which, in the teachings of occult schools, is symbolically Lucifer. And in the solar cults, the morning star is frequently referred to as the Sun, or "son" of the morning, and "son of god." According to Blavatsky's esoteric theology, "Lucifer is divine and terrestrial light, the 'Holy Ghost' and 'Satan,' at one and the same time." Her Secret Doctrine further stated,

And now it stands proven that Satan, or the Red Fiery Dragon, the "Lord of Phosphorus," and Lucifer, or "Light-Bearer," is in us: it is our Mind-our tempter and Redeemer, our intelligent liberator and Saviour from pure animalism. (Vol. 2, p. 513)

For a time the Theosophical Society published Lucifer magazine, a monthly periodical which proclaimed the inverted doctrine of Lucifer coming to redeem humanity. In the February, 1917 issue of Theosophy, the publication of the United Lodge of Theosophists in Los Angeles, an article reprinted from an early edition of Lucifer magazine gives a detailed account of Theosophical creation:

And, when God said: "Let there be light," Intelligence was made and light appeared.

Then, the Intelligence which God had breathed forth, like a planet detached from the Sun, took the form of a splendid Angel and the heavens saluted him with the name Lucifer.

Intelligence awoke and it fathomed its own depths as it heard this apostrophe of the divine Word, "Let there be Light." It felt itself to be free, for God had commanded it so to be, and it answered, raising its head and spreading its wings, "I will not be Slavery.".

God then unloosed from his bosom the thread of splendor which held back the superb spirit, and as he watched him dive into the night, cutting in it a path of glory, he loved the child of his thought, and smiling with a smile ineffable, he murmured to himself: "How fair a thing was this Light!".

Perhaps Lucifer, in plunging into the night, drew with him a shower of Stars and Suns by the attraction of his glory? (italics in original)

Our present day occult revival is firmly rooted within these teachings. And not unlike today, Theosophy itself sprang up during a surge of occult interest. During the 1800's, Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, Mormonism, Hermetic Orders such as the Golden Dawn, the blossoming of reincarnation teachings, and the writings of occultists such as Eliphas Levi and Aleister Crowley, had cut deep groves into the spiritual fabric of society. Borrowing from these demonic sources, Helena Blavatsky and her organization became fertile ground for spiritual seekers and experimenters. Theosophy, boiling out of this cauldron of mysticism, not only spawned the New Age Movement, but a host of other mystical orders and schools of thought-including Nazism.

Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky Madame Helena Blavatsky was born of Russian Nobility in 1831. She was very influential in founding one of the largest and most well known occult societies, the Theosophical Society. So much can be said for Blavatsky that one needs to first of all state that she knew information about the Aryan race which proves beyond a doubt that she was confident in stating that the Aryan race is the highest and most spiritually inclined root race. Madame Blavatsky was onto racial secrets that had been supressed for thousands of years. At times, she sought every secret doctrine available to see how such hidden and secretive facts may tie in to the quest of man.

There is not much known that supports Adolf Hitler's learning from her writings, other than the fact she claimed truths of the Aryan/White race which went far beyond most of her contemporary racial scholars of that day. (Moderator Note:

Madame Blavatsky published thousands of pages of racial studies and huge volumes of books, yet her most educational series of books is entitled, "The Secret Doctrine" published in three volumes. In the Secret Doctrine, the Aryan race is revealed as to the high, noble and lofty position it holds in the universe.

The Swastika is mentioned by Blavatsky as the holiest and, perhaps even, the most ancient of Aryan symbols.

Madame Blavastky's occult publication, the magazine "Theosophy", (Moderator Note: Later changed to Lucifer Magazine) was sent around the world even befor Hitler was born, and the Swastika was revealed through ancient Aryan knowledge as the holiest of Aryan symbols. To this there is no doubt that Hitler, Hess, Himmler and other primary National Socialists saw and studied with earnest fervor and interest.

Here I will quote some of the pages of 'The Secret Doctrine'.

"...whereas the Aryan nations could trace their descent through the Atlanteans from the more spiritual races of Lemurians (descendants of the continent of Mu), in whom the "Sons of Wisdom" had personally incarnated." VII Page 332.

"...great Adept astronomers were the scientists of the earliest races of the Aryan stock," VII Page 738.
