Under chief editor James B. Meigs, Popular Mechanics (PM) prides itself as being the first "major media outlet to decisively debunk the burgeoning conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11," as the Hearst magazine proudly proclaims on its website.

What Popular Mechanics is doing is simply trying to prop up the official fairy tale that Ali Baba Laden and his gang of 20 Thieves destroyed the World Trade Center with their hijacked airplanes.

"PM was the first major media outlet to fact-check and decisively debunk the burgeoning conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11," the website says. "That investigation ultimately grew into the acclaimed book, Debunking 9/11 Myths, which the magazine published in 2006."

Popular Mechanics has a page devoted to its "acclaimed book" about debunking the "9-11 Myths," which has this about the mysterious collapse of Larry Silverstein's WTC 7:

But there are no such warnings. The unsuspecting U.S. public is continuously subjected to a barrage of disinformation by media conduits that are owned and controlled by the CIA and other groups that are clearly dedicated to spreading disinformation.

The citizens of the former Warsaw Pact nations knew very well that they were receiving information filtered through the sieves of the official government censors, but Americans are largely unaware of the corrupt powers behind the media products they consume on a daily basis. The owners of these media outlets control every bit of information that flows through their networks. As they say in the oil business, he who controls the pipeline controls the product. The controlled media of the United States is the same.

We know that PM is owned by Cathie Black of Hearst, who is married Thomas Harvey, a high level propaganda specialist of the the CIA, but who is James B. Meigs, the editor of the magazine?

Who really is Jim Meigs and what is his scientific background? This seems a fair question to ask of the man and his "major media" magazine, which are both dedicated to bolstering the government explanation of the collapses, a explanation which has been rejected many real scientists; people like Dr. Steven E. Jones of Brigham Young University, for example.

It might be something of a surprise that James Meigs, the editor of Popular Mechanics, has absolutely no scientific background whatsoever, although he has a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Dartmouth, the most expensive school in the United States. That should certainly be worth something. I wonder if he read Socrates.

He is married to Jennifer A. Stern, his girlfriend from his days at Dartmouth College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy in 1980. The public records show that Meigs, 28, living in East Hartford, New York, married Jennifer A Stern, 26, of the same address, on April 20, 1985 in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut.

From 1987 to 1989, Meigs edited the magazine Video Review, which was part and parcel of the Washington Post. In 1988 he and Ms Stern came out with a book entitled Make Your Own Music Video ($9.90, Franklin Watts) in which they discuss the basics of video production.

Prior to becoming the editor in chief at Hearst's Popular Mechanics in 2004, Meigs held the following positions:

• Executive editor of National Geographic's Adventure magazine;
• Editor in chief and vice president of the now defunct Premiere magazine owned by Ronald O. Perelman and Hachette Publications Inc.;

• Editor of Us magazine (1993-95), owned by Jann Simon Wenner. The openly bi-sexual Wenner is also publisher of Rolling Stone and Men's Journal. Us Weekly, a celebrity magazine, was founded in 1977 by The New York Times Company and acquired by Wenner Media in 1986.

• Senior editor of Entertainment Weekly (1989-93), owned by Time Warner The magazine's publishers were Michael J. Klingensmith and Jeff Jarvis.

Meigs has also written for Wenner's Rolling Stone and Outside magazines, O, The Oprah Magazine, and others.

When I wrote for The Spotlight and American Free Press in Washington, D.C., I wrote for a publisher who had been literally burned out by extremist Zionist Jews. Willis A. Carto, the nominal publisher, had seen his business office and archives in California burned down in 1984.

Meigs, on the other hand, worked for a publisher, Jann Wenner, whose family burned down their own business in order to collect insurance money. As Kate Wenner has written a book about, her father Edward Wenner saw how his mother torched her business on Christmas Eve in order to enrich herself.

Kate Wenner was so shaken by her father's deathbed confession that she went on to write a book entitled Setting Fires. She wrote at least three articles about her father's confession:

...he revealed to my brother, sister and me the shameful secret he had kept buried since childhood: when he was 14, his mother and sister had deliberately set fire to their dry goods shop to collect insurance money. It was late at night, and the couple who lived in the apartment above the store came running out from the flames, screaming and carrying their children in their arms. They could have easily been killed.

My father had no part in planning the arson, but he saw what happened, and it changed his life forever.

''I came from people who were despicable,'' he told us through a flood of tears. ''They set this fire out of their own greed. I tried to excuse it by telling myself that survival forced us to do these things.'' He looked anguished. ''Survival? We had enough to eat. We had a place to sleep. We had our own store. Some of our neighbors considered us rich. To risk killing children so you can make a fancier store? That's evil. I was part of evil. Now you see why I'm ready to die?''

"WE COULD HAVE BEEN MURDERERS!"

I had heard the outline before-that one of his mother's schemes was to set her own store on fire to collect insurance money; that, when he was 14, there had been a fire on Christmas Eve when the store was full of merchandise. That night, after his mother set the fire, they rushed home and were in nightclothes when a policeman came to tell them their store was burning. My father recalled the details-the snow that had just begun, the yellow color of the lamplight, his mother's fake show of hysterics. But now he added something he had never revealed before: There had been an Italian family living above the store. He broke into sobs as he described the father running from the flames with his baby in his arms.

We could have been murderers! The worst possible death - a fire tunneling up through your house. I could have been a murderer. You don't know how that feels." He turned to me. "Now do you see why I told you I was ready to die? Now do you see why I had to have a manufactured personality, why I had to be somebody else? I come from people who were willing to risk killing a child out of greed. That's evil. I was associated with evil. I'm tired of living with shame. I've held on to it for so long. Dying is the way I can let go of it at last."

OVERWHELMED WITH SHAME

He told my sister, my brother and me a painful memory he had concealed all his life.

At 14 he’d been unwittingly involved in a terrible arson when his mother set fire to her small lingerie shop for the purpose of collecting insurance money. When my father understood what was happening that night, and when he witnessed the upstairs tenants running from the flames with their newborn baby, he was overwhelmed with shame. He broke into sobs when he confessed this secret and he told us something I will never forget. He said he believed he got his cancer because he was tired from a lifetime of trying to bury his shame. He said that dying was the way he could let go of it at last.

So, James Meigs has always worked for the big money media moguls. One of them, Jann Wenner, actually comes from a family who is so "despicable" that its murderous greed killed his own father, who was tired of "trying to bury his shame."

Don't expect Meigs to revisit this painful subject. It cuts too close to the bone about what really happened on 9-11. One thing these "false-flag" terror attacks certainly were was an immense case of insurance fraud by the lease holders, Larry Silverstein and Frank Lowy.

It is actually rather typical of the Jewish immigrants of that era and the Israeli immigrants of a later era. Fraud and crime are tools they use to advance themselves. Where they expect to get with such criminal activity is hard to say. Edward Wenner paid a terrible price for the crimes of his family for his whole life. Is that a price worth paying?

Meigs has certainly chosen a different philosophy to guide his life than I have. He wants to serve his masters in order to maintain his easy life and comfortable house on Circle Drive in Hastings On Hudson in Westchester County. I, on the other hand, have been brutally attacked by undercover police and forced from my very modest family home in suburban Chicago.

Neither of us has the full truth of 9-11. The truth has yet to be revealed, but it will be. When it is, we will see who has served the truth and who has served Mammon.
