on the occasion of Remembrance Day 2006.

Herr Steinmeier,
I herewith wish to express my extreme
displeasure about the above identified person and his speech.
Here in Canada the above occasion is
taken very seriously by the German-Canadian and Canadian Communities. We are
deeply disturbed about Mr. Hoepfner's attempt to turn this occasion into
political demagoguery AND INSULTING OF THE DEAD of the worst kind, to wit:
1. He started showing his disrespect for
the audience by speaking in English even tough the dead were and the audience
are almost exclusively German speakers.
2. He tried to change the meaning of
this event by saying that we were to remember all the dead of the world, who
died under a Tyranny or Despotism.
The audience however, had come to show
their RESPECT SPECIFICALLY TO THE HONOURABLE AND COURAGEOUS GERMAN SOLDIERS, WHO
ARE BURIED THERE, AND NO ONE ELSE, since traditionally every nation honors only
their own dead.
Besides these soldiers had precisely
fought against the Communist Tyranny which was threatening not only Germany but
the whole of Europe and which succeeded subsequently to subjugate the people of
Eastern Europe and Middle Germany for another 45 years, a period which seems to
have fallen into some memory hole made by the German politicians.
3. The most egregious offence which Mr.
Hoepfner committed was citing Mr. Weizsaecker's remark in 1985 , that at the end
of WWII the Germans were actually "liberated".
For 40 years after May 1945 not only the
Germans but the whole world believed, that Germany had been defeated in that
war. The rape of the women (not only of the German ones, but also the Ukrainian,
Polish and Baltic ones ) the destruction of their homes, the deportation of men
and women (again not only the German ones, even British and American soldiers
were among them) particularly to the Soviet Union, the robbery of their art
treasures, their gold and silver, the dismantling of factories, trains, theft of
patents and last but not least the expulsion of 12 million Germans from their
ancestral land, were all events to liberate the Germans ? From what ? ? ?
Only a brain infected by Talmudic
thought processes could come up with such a monstrous distortion of the truth
and then have the unmitigated gall to propagate such lies.
And now German soldiers are required by
your Government to participate in an illegal war in Afghanistan, against the
poorest of the poor of this world, in the name of "having to defend German
'democracy' at the Hindukush" ? as expressed by SPD man, Struck. This is
obviously another distortion of logical thought processes engineered by the same
people. . Under this framework I am not surprised that the way has now been
prepared for German soldiers to participate in the illegal war in Iraq, even
though this was instigated via a number of lies (e.g. existence of Weapons of
Mass Destruction, Iraq being associated with Bin-Laden, etc.) by the war
criminals Bush and Blair calling on NATO. Does this treaty oblige all partners
to participate in obvious violations of human rights and war crimes ? Can the
day be far behind when German soldiers will be called upon to defend Israel ?
It is quite evident from the above alone
that you are not acting in German interests. However, why should I be surprised,
since Germany does not have a proper Constitution approved by the nation, and
never had any referenda (Hitler had at least six of them) about important issues
like the change to the "Euro", participation in the EU, acceptance of a European
Constitution etc. It can therefore not be called a "DEMOCRACY".
So please don't send us any more
Hoepfner's to lecture us on history.
I remain with deep contempt for you and
your "government".
