Lest We Forget: A Brief History of US Government Directed and Fomented Terror

"One of the largest acts of domestic terrorism in U.S. history was the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center in New York. As it turned out, the FBI was fully aware of the bomb plot before the attack took place. The Muslim group involved had been infiltrated by Emad Salem, a former Egyptian intelligence agent who was hired by the FBI and ultimately paid $1 million. The FBI even provided the Egyptian with a timer for the bomb, prompting the Chicago Tribune to publish a report headlined, "FBI Tipster Said He Built NY Bomb" (Tribune, Dec. 15, 1993).

February 15, 1898, an explosion destroyed the American battleship Maine in Havana Harbor and helped propel the United States into a war with Spain. The USS Maine that sultry Tuesday night contained 350 crew and officers.At 9:40 p.m. the ship's forward end abruptly lifted itself from the water. Along the pier, passersby could hear a rumbling explosion. Within seconds, another eruption--this one deafening and massive--splintered the bow, sending anything that wasn't battened down, and most that was, flying more than 200 feet into the air.... In all, 266 of the 350 men aboard the Maine were killed.

The American press was quick to point to an external explosion--a mine or torpedo--as the cause of the tragedy. An official U.S. investigation agreed. On April 25, 1898, Congress formally declared war on Spain. By summer's end, Spain had ceded Cuba, along with the Philippines, Puerto Rico and Guam, to the United States. In 1976, Adm. Hyman Rickover of the U.S. Navy mounted yet another investigation into the cause of the Maine disaster. His team of experts found that the ship's demise was self- inflicted.

The Lusitania was a British cargo and passenger ship that was torpedoed and sank due to German submarine activity in May of 1915, just shy of ten years after she began her trans-Atlantic journeying. She was used to ferry goods and people between England and the United States. The Lusitania was very popular because of her speed and luxurious accommodations. She was considered "the acme of comfort," and deemed a "floating palace" by her passengers (Simpson 7).

As World War I escalated and German submarines took a prevalent role in the seas; Lusitania set out from New York on May 1, 1915, with the intent of delivering material to England in spite of threats of sinking by German authorities.

Six days later, on May 7, 1915, the Lusitania took a solid hit whose sound was described by passengers as a "peal of thunder," a "dull thud-like sound," or "like a million-ton hammer hitting a steel boiler a hundred feet high and a hundred feet long" (Hickey and Smith 184-185). Though they did not explode, water rushed into the first and second boiler rooms and caused the boat to shake from side to side. She then rose a little before a second massive explosion took her down into the sea.

The exact cause of the second explosion is a point of contention. The Lusitania shows evidence that she may have been torpedoed a second or even a third time - but the second, most destructive, explosion may not have been caused by a German torpedo, but rather may have come from inside the ship. The reason behind this speculation is that the Lusitania's cargo can be called into question. She had originally said she would take, along with her passengers, platinum, bullion, diamonds and various other precious stones, but these things were never found and port records do not list them either. She is believed to have instead carried, under the guise of bales of fur and cheese boxes, 3-inch shells and millions of rounds of rifle ammunition. If true, these materials comprised "a contraband and explosive cargo which was forbidden by American law and...should never have been placed on a passenger liner" (Simpson 157-158).

The torpedoes completed the destruction of the ship by their own power or they were aided by internal ammunition explosions. The ship sank within twenty minutes of when she was hit and took with her 1,201 people - and left only 764 to be saved by those who responded to her SOS (Simpson 9). Many American lives were lost as a result of the sinking, and because the Lusitania was never officially in government service, the United States believed the attack on her "was contrary to international law and the conventions of all civilized nations" (Simpson 8-9). The sinking of the Lusitania caused serious tension between the United States and Germany and led to America's declaration of war against Germany.

In the summer of 1940 Roosevelt ordered the Pacific to relocate from the West Coast to Hawaii. When its commander, Admiral Richardson, protested that Pearl Harbor offered inadequate protection from air and torpedo attack he was replaced. On October 7 1940 Navy IQ analyst McCollum wrote an eight-point memo for Roosevelt on how to force Japan into war with U.S., including an American oil embargo against Japan. All of them were eventually accomplished.

On 23 June 1941 one day after Hitler's attack on Russia Secretary of the Interior and FDR's Advisor Harold Ickes wrote a memo for the President in which he pointed out that "there might develop from the embargoing of oil to Japan such a situation as would make it not only possible but easy to get into this war in an effective way. And if we should thus indirectly be brought in, we would avoid the criticism that we had gone in as an ally of communistic Russia."

On 18 October Ickes noted in his diary: "For a long time I have believed that our best entrance into the war would be by way of Japan."

The U.S. had cracked key Japanese codes before the attack. FDR received "raw" translations of all key messages. On 24 September 1941 Washington deciphered a message from the Naval Intelligence HQ in Tokyo to Japan's consul-general in Honolulu, requesting grid of exact locations of U.S. Navy ships in the harbor. Commanders in Hawaii were not warned.

Sixty years later the U.S. Government still refuses to identify or declassify many pre-attack decrypts on the grounds of "national security."

On November 25 Secretary of War Stimson wrote in his diary that FDR said an attack was likely within days, and asked "how we should maneuver them into the position of firing the first shot without too much danger to ourselves. In spite of the risk involved, however, in letting the Japanese fire the first shot, we realized that in order to have the full support of the American people it was desirable to make sure that the Japanese be the ones to do this so that there should remain no doubt in anyone's mind as to who were the aggressors."

On November 25 FDR received a "positive war warning" from Churchill that the Japanese would strike against America at the end of the first week in December. This warning caused the President to do an abrupt about-face on plans for a time-buying modus vivendi with Japan and it resulted in Secretary of State Hull's deliberately provocative ultimatum of 26 November 1941 that guaranteed war.

On November 26 Washington ordered both US aircraft carriers, the Enterprise and the Lexington, out of Pearl Harbor "as soon as possible". This order included stripping Pearl of 50 planes or 40 percent of its already inadequate fighter protection. On the same day Cordell Hull issued his ultimatum demanding full Japanese withdrawal from Indochina and all China. U.S. Ambassador to Japan called this "The document that touched the button that started the war."

On November 29 Hull told United Press reporter Joe Leib that Pearl Harbor would be attacked on December 7. The New York Times reported on December 8 ("Attack Was Expected," p. 13) that the U.S. knew of the attack a week earlier. On December 1 Office of Naval Intelligence, ONI, 12th Naval District in San Francisco found the missing Japanese fleet by correlating reports from the four wireless news services and several shipping companies that they were getting signals west of Hawaii.

On 5 December, 1941 FDR wrote to the Australian Prime Minister, "There is always the Japanese to consider. Perhaps the next four or five days will decide the matters."

Both the Federal government and the ADL were "tracking" Timothy McVeigh long before the Oklahoma City Bombing of 1995. McVeigh and at least a half-dozen other men planned the bombing while encamped at "Elohim City," a heavily-infiltrated "Christian Patriot" community in rural Oklahoma. ATF informant Carol Howe infiltrated Elohim City before the Oklahoma bombing. ATF internal documents prove Howe was an informant who overheard McVeigh and his accomplices plotting to blow up the Alfred E. Murrah building. Howe sent over 70 reports to her superior, ATF Special Agent Angela Finley, warning that a number of people at Elohim City were planning to bomb a federal office building in Oklahoma City.

Howe was not the only government agent privy to the Oklahoma bombing however. The shadowy Aryan Republican Army (ARA) gang of bank robbers were also complicit. Aryan Nations "East Coast Ambassador" and FBI informant Mark Thomas assisted ARA leader Peter Langan, an asset of the US Secret Service. Langan, the son of a US Marine Intelligence officer, was arrested for a robbery in 1992. The U.S. Secret Service intervened, however, arranging for Langan to be released on merely a signature bond. Langan subsequently formed the ARA, which was, from its inception, a government black op. For example, the ARA never encountered any bank guards or other police during any of their twenty successful bank robberies. Langan and his lieutenant were only arrested in connection with the robberies after independent investigators began to publicize Elohim City's ties to McVeigh. It was at Elohim where the ARA leaders, among whom was "John Doe No. 2" (Michael Brescia), held three meetings to plan bank robberies and other activities. (Langan's lieutenant conveniently "committed suicide" while in custody).

Many government black ops use Halloween Satanists as a cover for their crimes. In Oklahoma City it was "white supremacists" and "neo-Nazi" patsies. The orchestration was finite and detailed, right down to the appointment of District Attorney Robert Macy -- the prosecutor who allegedly stymied all efforts to get to the bottom of the Oklahoma City conspiracy --to head the special Grand Jury proceedings to investigate a conspiracy. This is the same Robert Macy who, when asked by Oklahoma state Rep. Charles Key why Macy didn't proceed with an investigation, allegedly replied, "They won't let me."

Macy's Grand Jury delivered no indictments of ATF agents or of shadowy right wing, neo-Nazi "useful idiots" like Chevie Kehoe. No, the only one indicted was the investigative journalist David Hoffman (no relation to this writer), author of the seminal book, The Oklahoma City Bombing and the Politics of Terror (Feral House, 1998). Rare book collectors take note: the entire remaining stock of David Hoffman's book was pulped and destroyed under legal threat from lawyers for agents of the FBI. Chevie Kehoe murdered gun dealer William Mueller and his entire family in Arkansas in 1996 because Mueller had inside information on Timothy McVeigh and the OK City bombing conspiracy.

As part of the "Revelation of the Method," recall that Aryan Nations member and L.A. daycare center shooter Buford Furrow "miraculously" eluded the largest police dragnet in the history of the LAPD, to report directly to his FBI handlers in Las Vegas in full view of the television cameras.

By the same process, Chevie Kehoe of Yaak, Montana and his partner, Danny Lee of Yukon, Oklahoma, killed the Mueller family while "dressed in FBI raid outfits" (Spokesman-Review, [Spokane, Wash.] April 8, 1999, p. B-3). In both these cases a symbolic hint was being intentionally sent to the public concerning who Kehoe and Furrow's real handlers are. At the time of the Mueller murders Kehoe was a resident of the Shadows Motel in Spokane, Washington, where he had been staying on and off since 1994. Kehoe was often visited at the motel by a child rapist and Aryan Nations activist who was also a master gunsmith and machinist.

"Witnesses also believe McCrea and Kehoe met Timothy McVeigh at the Shadows Motel shortly before the April, 1995 Oklahoma City bombing...A former manager of the motel has reported seeing McVeigh visiting Kehoe there a few weeks before the Oklahoma City bombing.

"...But the possible link between the Shadows Motel, Kehoe and McVeigh has been given little, if any, attention by the FBI...With McVeigh and his friend Terry Nichols convicted of the Oklahoma City bombing, there is reluctance to reopen the investigation, federal officials say." (Spokesman-Review, April 11, 1999, pp. B-1 and B-6).

Here is a frank admission of the government's refusal to apprehend other guilty parties in connection with the Oklahoma City bombing. The conviction of the scapegoats satisfies the Federal police. Why? Because any further indictments would tend to risk losing control over perpetrators who might reveal embarrassing details and unaccounted for facts that point to orchestration of the bombing by the Federal government itself.

Elohim City was presided over by Robert Millar, himself an informant who reported to FBI Senior Agent Peter Rickel, according to June, 1997 court testimony. Millar's son-in-law, Jim Ellison, was also a Federal informant. The "chief of security" at Elohim City was Andreas Strassmeier, a German intelligence officer who was in direct contact with McVeigh in the weeks preceding the bombing and who Carol Howe implicated as a co-conspirator.

Federal Judge Richard Matsch prohibited Howe from testifying at McVeigh's trial, saying her testimony might "confuse" the jurors. After Howe went to the media with her evidence, the government indicted her on a trumped up charge of explosives possession. She was put on trial in August, 1997. Her attorney showed that Howe possessed the explosives at the direction of the ATF and Howe was acquitted of all charges by a jury.

Leonard Horowitz said two years ago that his intelligence sources predicted that a rogue CIA group would precipitate a biological or chemical attack on a US city that would be blamed on the Muslims leading to a massive response. If the USA responds and then the alleged Muslim extremists come up with a biological or chemical attack, buckle your seat belt.

We, like most Americans, are now processing shock and dismay over the September 11, 2001 "Attack on America." In the business of collecting and disseminating intelligence regarding various forms of terrorism, we have been predicting such horrific realities for months, even years. To have these prophesies manifest, leaves remorse beyond description. My colleagues and I are additionally pained by our collective inability to stop the generally unrecognized forces of evil orchestrating these events…. Forces we have identified and continue to professionally expose.

On this "day after," following yesterday's tragic losses, the last glimmer of hope that Americans might be shaken out of complacency, even by these horrific attacks on our home soil, is now gone. Filling this void, we are simply aghast by the manner in which the mainstream news media is spinning the public's mind. We, like more sheep to slaughter, are being directed more rapidly now, towards the emergence of a New World Order out of this chaos and coming cataclysms.

What do I mean by media spin? Did you know that our government's and media's alleged greatest nemesis, said to be responsible for most terrorist attacks against the United States—Osama bin Laden—took his direction and money from the CIA for at least eight years. This also implicates, by association, the British Oligarchy's MI6. According to previous MI6 officer, Dr. John Coleman, the CIA is largely subordinate to British intelligence agencies and the Royal family. Through the MI6 and numerous oligarchy-controlled "think tanks," America's propaganda mills--major news networks and agencies-- churn out foul fabrications. Osama bin Laden, the Islamic devil incarnate, is a classic creation of this spin.

This evening (Sept. 12) I watched a CBS Evening News special report with Dan Rather. He interviewed Milt Bearden, a retired high ranking CIA officer with "deep experience in the Sudan and Afganistan." Here he apparently directed bin Laden's covert CIA operation known as Maktab al-Khidamar—the MAK. Mr. Rather asked Bearden if he thought bin Laden was responsible for the terrorist "Attack on America." Bearden downright snubbed the possibility. Instead, he explained, a far more sophisticated intelligence operation had to be behind these precise coordinated attacks. Rather, committed to demonizing bin Laden restated his concern. "Look," Bearden surprisingly blurted, referring to the intelligence organization(s) responsible for the terrorist attack, "if they didn't have an Osama bin Laden, they would invent one."

Most people tonight are questioning, "What's next?" With great graveness of heart, I must inform you that this saddest of times marks a new beginning for more horrendous terrorist attacks to come. Add to this environmental catastrophes, and politically contrived intoxications of highly susceptible populations. . . . Especially those living in urban America.

Also this evening, previous Secretary of Defense for the Clinton administration, William S. Cohen, returned to CBS. He was asked the same question, "What lies ahead?" He replied that the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington were an aberration. He fully expected there to be a full-scale deployment of biological and chemical "weapons of mass destruction" very soon.

My first recommendation is for you to work through your remaining shock and denial as quickly as possible. You may then be prepared to responsibly address, for your children's sake if not your own, the genocides to come.

Know and understand the nature of the enemy, and the dangers posed by this stealth "beast."

The six pointed star (Jewry's capital after Jerusalem, New York City), and the five-pointed star (Masonry's military capital, Arlington's five sided Pentagon), were shown to be symbolically and literally weak on Sept. 11, utilizing an image straight from the Tarot cards. Neither the government of the Third Reich, nor of the Emperor Hirohito, ever managed to inflict so punishing a blow on the American mainland.

Nonetheless, the rush to judgement indicting Afghanistan (but not, note bene, nuclear-tipped Pakistan, the Taliban's well known ally), presupposes that the US government was not aware of the terrorists' plans (even though the Feds penetrated their cell-phone communications immediately afterward). It also presupposes that the US government was not directing the operation, as it directed the 1993 World Trade Center bombing (the FBI furnished the fuse).

Yesterday, the media/government planted in our minds the notion that "Camp David" was a target. Today, Sept. 12, that is gone with the wind and press secretary Ari Fleischer says it was Air Force One and the White House that were the intended targets (in other words, a Boeing 767 is going to outmaneuver Falcon F-16 fighters and crash mid-air into Air Force One).

Today, Dan Rather queried the Israeli ambassador, "Some will say that the attack was a payback for 50 years of American support for Israel." The Ambassador replied, "This has nothing to do with the Middle East."

While parasitic gas stations and oil companies raised fuel prices as high as $4 a gallon, the TV media had no critical comment. The "We're all in this together" tone was maintained at all costs. All five network anchors spoke in reverent, hushed tones when some top bureaucrat made a statement to the public. "That was the head of the FBI" whispered an awe-struck Peter Jennings in a voice usually reserved for a saint or a miracle worker.

Since the American people are becoming clones of the Israelis, they are becoming as delusional as the Israelis. They are rallying around the US government, but the US government is the reason New York and Washington were attacked--due to the Federal government's naked, partisan bias toward Zionism, and financial support for the 1982 carpet bombing of Beirut, the routine dispossession, assassination and child-murder of Palestinians, and the carpet bombing of Baghdad.

The events of Sept. 11 are not going to lead to any "World War Three." Why is this "World War" reflex-mantra always on the lips of right-wingers? A world war implies an amalgamation of axis powers united to destroy America. Osama Bin Laden is a goatherd in the mountains of one of the five or six poorest and most destitute nations on earth. Even nuclear-armed Pakistan, with its 1951 vintage plutonium-technology, wouldn't stand a chance against Uncle Sam. Only the Chinese and Russians could credibly challenge the US in a "world war," and they are officially described as our allies. So with whom is this "Third World War" to be fought? Saudi goatherds?

The media do have one thing right: Sept. 11 does change America forever. Goodbye freedom and innocence. Our people are emulating the Israelis, a land scourged by blood and fire, thanks to the intransigent racism of the Talmudic imperialists, be they Likud or Labour. Therefore we are headed for a good dose of the Zionist clap--carte blanche budgets for Big Government and all-seeing surveillance by Big Brother, the better to "protect us." Thus saith the Committee of Public Safety. Our homegrown Robespierres are eager to protect our freedom with tyranny.

Ours is the very government whose actions have created the catastrophe in the first place, assuming that this is not another "Arlington Road" scenario, another Oklahoma City, where McVeigh was caught the first day with bad license plates. Already we have Arabic language flight manuals and Korans turning up in the perpetrators' vehicles. How thoughtful of them!

The American people step ever deeper into a Jewish pressure cooker. They scream for retaliation, barely concealing their Trumanesque desire to fry some "enemy" women and children, oblivious to the fact that the people who pilot airliners into US skyscrapers have learned their ethics from us. The teen-aged Columbine killers cited the "collateral" (i.e. civilian) damage the US inflicted in Kosovo and Belgrade, as part of the inspiration for their own mass murder spree.

Whatever happened to "Give peace a chance?" That tune has been supplanted by the ancient howl of the primate who, having been clubbed, clubs more viciously in return; until we are left with a final image of apes beating each other into a stupor. We are no better than them, but they at least have a grudge. We took our air forces half-way around the world to intervene in religious wars between Zionism and Islam. The Arabs and Muslims never dreamed of troubling us on our soil until we meddled in their fight for land and religion.

Much is made of patriotism, but today patriotism is an empty shell, synonymous with however Israeli-firsters like Senator John McCain decide to define it. But the men who invented American patriotism--Washington and Jefferson and Henry-- never intended for it to constitute idolatry of central government. Our nation's founder and first president solemnly warned against entangling foreign alliances, and against the encroachments of government itself.

Judaism and its little sister, Zionism, rules by bribery and assassination; though there has been little need for the latter in America. Our politicians are delighted to be bribed by the Money Power.

A new, barbaric America is emerging, like Rome after the death of the Republic. Our enemies are all "evil men" and "foul terrorists." None of them fight for land, for freedom or for their children's future. They are solely motivated by a type of Satanism. America, meanwhile, is perfect, because we are the servants of the perfect people, the Israelis. Americans want dominance, firepower and unconditional victory. "Wake up and smell the napalm" and the burning flesh. We have unconsciously adopted the Talmudic standard--all who oppose us are less than human and deserve to die, man, woman and suckling child.

We will never quell the military actions of the Muslims by force of arms. Only Israelis could propose so mentally deficient a doctrine. Muslims can't be bribed and the Israelis have already assassinated thousands of their leaders since the 1940s. Hence, the traditional Jewish tools of "persuasion" are ineffective in this case. We might try something different--peace negotiations-- not based on the discontiguous Bantustans proposed by Rabin, Peres and Barak, but Israeli withdrawal to the "Green Line," the 1967 borders.

The Arabs are a noble, anti-Communist people. They learned barbarism from us and now the chickens have come to roost. "Perpetual war for perpetual peace," Harry Elmer Barnes called it. We had it in Hamburg and Dresden; Hiroshima and Nagasaki; Beirut and Baghdad. Now the Americans are getting the bitter taste of their own medicine and crying foul. So who are the cowards? We want a world where we pound primitive peoples into immolation inconceivable. We want to pound them with impunity, while we sip cocktails on the veranda of the World Trade Center. Yet suddenly, out of the blue, we are made to confront the Boxcutter's Brigade who, without high tech or banker's billions, send us on an elevator ride down the twin towers of inferno.

I will not be flying the Stars and Stripes this week. I will be wearing black for the America I knew once and for the Americans of the future, fated to shed ever more blood in a vicious circle of atrocity and counter-atrocity, so that a gang of Khazars and Sephardim may rape and ruin Palestine to their hearts' content.

As Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres said on national TV last evening, in his best Count Dracula accent, "God bless America!"

The World Trade Center monument of the New York business community, towering over downtown Manhattan like twin silver phalli pointed at heaven is but a pile of smoldering rubble. Crashing down along with this symbol of capitalism, modernity, and civilization is the overweening hubris of a government and a people who thought themselves immune. It is the doctrine of "American exceptionalism," the theory that the US blessed by Providence and released from the travails faced by other nations is exempt not only from the rules that govern and limit the powers of other nations, but also from history itself. For history and not only history but physics tells us that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. No one is immune, and this is the meaning of the horrific events unfolding before our eyes.

Let's reiterate what has happened: in a coordinated operation that involved hijacking four planes, two aircraft dove into the World Trade Center, leveling both buildings and (probably) killing and injuring thousands. Not only that, but in Washington, D.C., the Pentagon itself was reportedly under attack, with at least one explosion in the area: also the US State Department was the scene of yet more high drama, as it too is rocked by explosions in the area and evacuated. It was a strange sight indeed to see an F-16 jet fighter plane patrolling the skies above New York City and the announcer's voice intoning in a sepulchral voice that the primary election scheduled for this morning in New York has been canceled. Suddenly, Americans wake up one day to find that they are living in a Third World country. Would anybody be surprised to learn that all civil liberties have been suspended, and martial law declared? What is going on? What's going on is this: the war is coming home. The war fought by America and its chief Middle East ally against the Palestinian uprising has moved from the streets of Gaza to the boulevards of the imperial metropolis. What Americans are facing, now, is what the Israelis face on a daily basis. For us, these attacks are a horror of monumental proportions, something so out of the ordinary that to call it "unusual" would be something of an understatement: for the Israelis, this is a way of life. The Israelis recently had an election in which they made a decision: they would rather live this way than give in to the Palestinians' demands. They elected Ariel Sharon, an Israeli hawk, who vowed to take a tough line against the Intifada. The Palestinian response has been relentless: a vicious all-out war fought by suicide-bombers targeting civilians. Israelis voted for it, they knew what they were getting into, and they have steeled themselves to endure it. The question that poses itself almost automatically is: when did we vote for it? "This is the second Pearl Harbor. I don't think that I overstate it," said Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., a major congressional war hawk. The reappearance of kamikaze planes diving into American targets just a few days after V-J ("Victory over Japan") Day should give us pause: the last time we faced down and beat such fanaticism was the occasion for a world war in which the entire nation was mobilized and militarized, and there was talk of canceling a presidential election. Are we willing to do that again? And here is a sobering thought…. The US mainland was completely unaffected by the last world war: millions were killed, but not on our shores. The closest they ever came was when the Japanese dropped some hot air balloons over the state of Washington. But not this time. In the age of globalization, a world war means that everybody's back yard is a potential battlefield. A common word we hear in foreign policy circles is "hegemonism." We stand at the apex of power, and the French have even invented a special term for the hubristic heights of the American Imperium: they call us the hyperpower. It was coined to describe a power outside human history, outside the ordinary rules and conditions attached to human existence, a power without parallel or precedent. We were all about actions, and not about consequences: unlike the empires of the past, America was thought to be exempt from any possible reaction to its imperial edicts. Now we know it isn't true: too bad we had to learn the hard way Assalamu'alaikum,

As we woke up today to the tragic news of three plane crashes into N.Y.C and Washington, please allow me to share with you the following points that are an early statement of ADC Fresno:

1. We have been, for a long time, trying as Arab-Americans to bring to the attention of the American people the atrocities being committed around the world, using American weapons subsidized by our tax money, as is the case with Israel. Israel has been receiving in excess of $10 Million a DAY in aid, mostly in the form of guns and warplanes being used to terrorize the civilian population of Palestine. We have repeatedly warned that such policy will eventually bring the U.S. into this conflict as a direct party. The decision by successive U.S. administrations to ignore such atrocities, and the arrogance with which this administration has dealt with the issue only expedited this eventual confrontation. We have said it before, the children of Palestine are left with no hope other than war against those gunning them down, and those supplying them with the means to do so. Violence begets violence! What do you expect when you wage war against a people that have done you no harm..?!

2. Regardless of early indications of responsibility, this has the appearance of a well-orchestrated attack on a global level. Whereas I would like to believe that Ben Laden (mentioned as a possible suspect already) is capable of logistically masterminding such an operation, I would not discount the prospect of the Mossad having a hand in this. Worldwide, public opinion has been steadily moving away from support of Israel, and has started seeing the Palestinians as the victims they are, in spite of substantial P.R. campaigns waged by Israel. This could very well be (another) attempt by Israel to demonize Arabs and Muslims, and to bringing them to a direct military confrontation with the U.S. The hope would be to turn public opinion around, enabling the current vicious Israeli government to quench Sharon's thirst for blood with a free hand and even more overt U.S. support. This should quiet down the criticism of the American people towards their governments collusion with Israel against Palestinian civilians..., so goes the theory. The Mossad has performed similar acts in the past, as has been documented by its own (Victor Ostrovsky- By Way of Deception), and I wouldn't be surprised if they had a hand in this one as well!

Arab-Americans, in general, and Fresno area ADC members express their deepest sympathies and condolences to the victims of this attack and their families. Blood shed, on either side, is not something we stomach, and we condemn this attack, as well as the daily attacks against Palestinians in the occupied territories. We take this opportunity to call on all parties, again, to stop the cycle of violence that has spread beyond the immediate borders, as has been expected. We call upon the United States government to exercise its global responsibility by playing the role of moderator and bringing the parties to the negotiation table.

First of all, expect never to learn the truth about what happened at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and elsewhere this morning of September 11, 2001, any more than we did with regard to the murders of Jack and Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, at Ruby Ridge, Waco, or Oklahoma City. Ambiguity and uncertainty serve far too many political interests.

Another certainty is that, although I'm told 50,000 people worked in the World Trade Center, more innocent individuals will die as a result of what the Old Media are lovingly referring to as a "lockdown" of Manhattan and other places, than any acts of terrorism that may have occurred. The military has just said they'll shoot down any plane they see flying. Only one civilian plane is in the air this morning, Air Force One; that's as grim a warning of things to come as I can think of.

"Collateral" deaths won't just happen as a consequence, say, of somebody with a heart attack being unable to get to a hospital, but whenever and wherever some dumb kid in an army uniform gets startled by a car backfiring and starts spraying everybody and his pet poodle with automatic rifle fire. Or to whomever the martial lawyers decide it's safe to liquidate using this foul mess as a cover. Or, vastly more ominously, to people in the not-so-distant future who decide they must resist the police state that will inevitably result from these events.

It's extremely difficult to think coherently about long term effects, let alone to get it all down in writing, when you learn that, not only were hijacked commercial aircraft used to commit these unspeakably evil acts, but that 90 passengers died helplessly in the first plane, and others yet unnumbered may have died in subsequent attacks. _Somebody_ has to think about it, though, or this situation will be used to turn the Bill of Rights off forever. Depending on the planning behind it, or who did the planning, it may already be too late.

All airports have been shut down today, and I shudder to think about what flying will be like from now on. The Clintons, Schumers, and Waxmans will try to shut down the Internet, calling it a breeding ground for terrorism. The Bushes and Cheneys will "reluctantly" go along.

What should those who value their freedom do? Every chance you have, from this moment on, whether it's on talk radio, or on the letters to the editor page, on the Internet while it's still possible, or in communication with everyone you know -- it's time for even the most apolitical to write to senators and congressmen -- emphasize two points:

First, inform them that closing down the First or Second or any other Amendment is not an appropriate response to what's happened, and that any politician or bureaucrat in office who attempts to capitalize on today's horrors is committing the same sort of blatantly criminal act I've always insisted must be punished under Bill of Rights enforcement.

Second, these things happen to nations with imperial ambitions. There has never been a major act of terrorism I know of that hasn't resulted from an act of government that violated somebody's rights. The way to keep this sort of thing from happening again is to stop those violations.

Hideously enough, my new novel _The American Zone_, scheduled to be published next November by Tor Books, begins with an act very similar to this one, carried out to force the creation of a strong central government in the governmentless "North American Confederacy" that figures in so many of my books. As anybody who knows my work can safely predict, the evil scheme doesn't work and the villains are defeated.

Life isn't as predictably pleasant as fiction. Happy endings are few and far between. But it's important to act swiftly if we're to preserve anything resembling the freedom that made this civilization great.

DEMONIC ISLAM by Barry Chamish Two days ago, a London rabbi made a discovery. Using kabbalistic numerology, he found that Arafat and Satan have precisely the same Hebrew numeric value. The result was a series of front page exposes that brought a delegation of CIA officers and Congress members to Israel on a fact verifying mission. The Arafat connection to the first World Trade Center bombing was never raised again. Arafat had to be protected at all costs to save the "peace" process. Yesterday's bombing of the World Trade Center and Pentagon required years of training by hundreds of experts at a cost in the tens of millions of dollars, or much more. No one organization could possibly have carried the attacks out: they required state sponsorship, or more likely, states. If the American government blames one organization for the atrocities, they are lying and covering up the truth. If the American government blames Islamic "fundamentalists," they are lying and covering up the truth again. Arafat is not a "fundamentalist," yet he is behind most of the violence against Israel. Presidents Assad of Syria and Hussein of Iraq are not "fundamentalists," yet they shelter and finance the most violent of Islamic organizations. An honest American investigation will uncover tracks in Gaza, Khartoum, Damascus and Baghdad, all leading to allies, sponsors and financiers in Europe, especially southern Europe. This same investigation will discover that all of Islam is demonic, not just the fundamentalists. It will expose the true war-making intent of the Oslo "peace" process and it will find Arafat's fingerprints all over the rubble of the World Trade Center... Unless, America and its Council On Foreign Relations hidden rulers once again choose to protect Arafat and his phoney Palestinian "people." A terrifying scenario of an upcoming Middle East war is being discussed in Israeli political circles. As the American terror death toll surpasses that of Hiroshima, the consensus among public opinion and top ranks of the military, untouched by the ruling illuminati caste, will be to strike back at Islam where it hurts the most.

Three days ago, someone (that will do until he chooses to accept credit) left over a thousand sensitive documents concerning the Rabin murder at my home. I called the economics writer Yaacov Verker and asked him to drive by and look at the material. He would have arrived the next day but it was too tragic for both of us. The day after the bombings in New York and Washington, he speed-read the material and discovered the smoking gun. It is the results of tests on Yigal Amir's hands, a half hour after he supposedly shot Yitzhak Rabin. Inspector Arieh Moshe, of the Israel Police Crime Laboratory, conducted a Feroprint test of Amir's hands to measure the amount of gunpowder on them and compare the composition of the gunpowder with that of the bullet casings. He found that, "The results of the testing were insignificant." NO GUNPOWDER WAS ON AMIR'S HANDS. This is an impossibility if he shot Rabin with real bullets. After almost six years, we had the proof that Amir did not murder Rabin. Yaacov phoned Knesset Member, Michael Kleiner and told him the stunning news. Mr. Kleiner is head of the Herut Movement, for most of Israel's history, the country's most powerful opposition party. Today, it has been neutralized by forces led by Ariel Sharon. The next day, Mr. Kleiner's secretary called and requested that I meet MK Kleiner at a gathering of Herut Party members in Tel Aviv. I just returned from the meeting with Mr. Kleiner and numerous party leaders. A few told me that those behind the slaughter in America were the same people who brought us the Oslo "peace" process and the Rabin murder. They described the next stage of the Hell to be brought upon this planet.

1. America will demand proper retaliation for the grotesque loss of its citizens, for the wrecking of its economy and for the destruction of its most potent monolithic symbols. Only the bombing of Islam's most potent symbol, the Kaabah in Mecca, will satisfy the calls for equivalent justice. 2. Saudi Arabia will be taken over, its oilfields will repay America's losses, and rebuild the twin towers, as well as the wrecked economy. (Which may have been the real motive of the destruction of the buildings. Somebody was behind the theft of trillions of dollars from the American economy in the last few years. No one will ever know who after this week). 3. The American public will not allow the oil companies to exploit them and the Saudi profits will go directly to rebuilding lower Manhattan and then straight into the people's pockets. 4. Naturally, most Moslems will object to the American takeover and that will slowly lead to the destruction of Islam. But not before the world is engulfed in violence comparable to that of World War II.

After the grief and shock subside a tiny bit, in November, I want to come to New York. I want to speak to those victims, Jewish and gentile, of the tragedy and tell them a side of their misery no one else will; why Israelis and Americans are dying to ignite a war to change the ruling status quo of the planet. And why the Rabin murder may hold the key to exposing and defeating these evil forces. If any organization or group, no matter how small, will be willing to sponsor me, I'll come. Well they did it again. For the third time in less than a century, the illuminati manipulated a world war. They succeeded in creating an issue of good and evil that cannot be ignored. Yes, the Muslim extremists present a danger to the planet and have to be extinguished, just like the Nazis. So who created the Nazis and who created Islamic extremism? For hundreds of years the Arabs were quiescent and obedient servants of the Ottoman Empire. Then in 1917, the British expelled them and took over Palestine. They, and their secretive Round Table, approved a declaration permitting Jews to re-establish Israel, thus offering them a shelter from Europe's pogroms, which were fueled by the illuminati for just this purpose. Then they set Arab on Jew, creating such animosity that Islam gleefully allied itself with Nazism. After that, the illuminati ignited the Holocaust and when it was ended, the Vatican's Jesuit rulers, with Allied approval, shipped the worst of the genocidal criminals worldwide through its appropriately named "ratline." Europe's Jews were then shipped to Israel and a war was ignited which the Jews were supposed to lose, thus completing stage two of the Holocaust. But Israel overcame the odds and survived. Since then, the planet's hidden rulers have done their utmost to turn Islam into an improved version of Nazism, starting with the creation of an artificial, terrorism-based "Palestinian" nationhood. It took barely a generation after to create Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban out of the same mold. So who created the Taliban? President Jimmy Carter of the Council On Foreign Relations took the first step by ordering a covert war against Soviet forces in Afghanistan. Who originally funded the Taliban? CIA chief George Bush of the CFR affiliate, Skull And Bones Society. Who supplied the Taliban with all the sophisticated encrypted telecommunications equipment, which made its attacks on the dead twins and Pentagon possible? President Clinton of the CFR, who approved sales of the high-tech wonders to Syria, where it was inevitable that radical Islam would inherit it. Who handed the Taliban $48 million, to eradicate poppies, knowing full well it wouldn't be used for that purpose? Why our current American President, like his father, a Skull And Bones graduate. Who is Bin Laden's brother's business partner? Why Percy Rockefeller of the CFR-founding Rockefeller family. Who owned the land the World Trade Centers stood on? Why those pesky Rockefellers again. And who created Islam in America? The same gang who imported Islam to Europe. No American black should identify with Islam. This religion captured territory in Africa in Medieval times and looted its conquests for slaves. Without Arab slave traders, it is unlikely the European industry would have taken hold. Even today, Muslims enslave huge numbers of Christian blacks in the Sudan and Mauritania. American blacks picked up this religion in the late 1950s and it was spread in the prison system. Who is enforcing those laws, especially the drug laws, that assure most blacks of some prison time where many will have to adopt Islam or face the consequences? The hidden rulers have created an angry community of Moslems in America and if they object too vigorously to this new war, there will be a race war in America. The same goes for the Moslems of Europe, imported by the millions for just this moment in history. We've all been set up for a period of bloody, murderous chaos. Then lucky us, we get a new planetary order with guess who in charge? And if enough people choose not investigate how this war was really started and who was behind it, we'll all deserve this new world order as a collective punishment for collective human stupidity.

Sending a commentary on a topic other than today’s horrific events has seemed untenable. Addressing today’s events has also seemed untenable. That our web and email server has been inaccessible all day, depriving us of internet communications and of access to update ZNet hasn’t helped. It seems web traffic was so great that it caused problems in Washington State, around Seattle, where our servers are located. A simple chronicle of the day’s events would be superfluous. Known facts are displayed on every TV station. Reliable deductions are relatively obvious. After routine take-offs four planes were commandeered by terror teams and simultaneously flown on dramatically distorted trajectories to demolish pre-selected targets. The devastation is not yet known, but is certainly horrific. What can one conclude other than that devastating suicidal terrorist attacks are eminently doable? Annihilating skyscrapers in the U.S. or other developed countries is harder than the U.S. bombing cities in targeted nations, but it is evidently far from impossible. Good-hearted Americans will mourn these innocent and horrible deaths with dignity and with respect. Media analysts and politicians, however, will soon use pictures of the rubble to seek increased police and military spending and greater state interventionary and surveillance powers. They will intone that killing civilians is cowardly and warrants swift and merciless punishment. They will however ignore having themselves supported the recent assault on Yugoslavia that terrorized that country’s civilian population to topple its despised government. They will also ignore that the U.S.-led embargo of Iraq has caused hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths, again to destabilize a hated government. Today’s terrorism was horrendously vile. It arose in a terror-infected world. People throughout the third world have long had their destiny held hostage by distant rulers. First world diplomats and entrepreneurs year after year pursue power and profit imposing nearly unimaginable third world calamity. Due to our distance from the victims and the endless mass media obfuscation of their plight, we first world citizens fail to realize that when a million people starve because a poor country’s energies are commandeered to benefit multinational capital, it is murder. But, it is murder, and so third world populations have long endured near total dependence on choices made by distant authoritative leaders who are callous to their futures. The same abysmal condition has arrived, to a degree, for populations in developed countries. Those who died in today’s attacks also suffered a choice made by far away actors callous to the carnage they imposed. First world populations may henceforth share not the degrading conditions and daily poverty of the third world, but some of the fear of being held hostage by others. To try to overcome this condition, but even more to enlarge their already grotesquely bloated powers, first world leaders may in coming weeks challenge decades of gains in civil and legal rights, trying to turn back freedom's clock. Can anything curtail the carnage of capital, the carnage of terrorism, and the carnage of repressive reaction? Our best hope is to win institutional change that reduces profit-seeking and political subordination, while also reducing desires to lash out with mindless and inhumane terrorism. In coming weeks we may suffer a kind of celebration in America, a celebration of security and of power, a celebration of surreptitious information retrieval, a celebration of arms growth, and perhaps of assassination, all described as virtuous goals rather than uncivil abominations, all touted as if the terror victims will be honored rather than defiled by our preparing to entomb still more innocent people around the world. Normal good-hearted Americans will weep for the suffering that today’s events exacted and hope to create a world in which such hate and callousness disappears. But I fear that America’s leaders will cynically bulk up their ammo belts while seeking to make ubiquitous their listening devices—trying to relegate public freedoms to an incinerator. In this environment, people of good will must explain as often as necessary that terrorism is horrific and insane, but so to is capitalist business as usual. And we must not step back from dissent, but must instead work harder to oppose all kinds of injustice with massive public demonstrations and civil disobedience.

Reaping the Whirlwind

For many people, Tuesday morning was like waking to find you were on the set of a disaster movie. The images of planes crashing into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, of the twin towers collapsing, of panic in the streets of Manhattan, all had a dream-like unreality to them. It was only on finding that someone you knew might be involved – killed, injured, trapped in the melee – that the reality of what was occurring would hit like a punch in the stomach.

But this movie set is an all-too-familiar scene to people around the world, outside the borders of our country. We have seen their faces as they searched the rubble for the bodies of their family members, or as they huddled in squalid refugee camps. We have flipped on CNN and watched our government bombing their cities as though we were watching the latest Stallone flick. This was the kind of thing that happened to people far away, with too many consonants in their names or, for God's sake, towels on their heads.

But those feelings of terror were felt by real people, not extras hired for the filming of American Hegemony II. Those things can happen to you, too. You may find yourself, dizzy with despair and grief, watching rescue workers dig through a pile of stone, looking for someone you love. You may wonder if you will see your children again, or find yourself explaining to them how death may suddenly rain from the sky.

Today's events should bring home a simple, clear message: It is time to stop the madness. It is time to refuse to lend any support to the ravaging of innocent lives in the world-domination games of the power-mad. It is time for the citizens of every nation to tell their governments that their military power exists only to defend them, and not to make the citizens of other nations behave the way some "leaders" feel they ought. And since most of the readers of LewRockwell.com are Americans, it is our own nation's crimes against innocent lives that we must focus on stopping first.

Some people – the very people who have urged the U.S. to poke into every hornet's nest in the world – will, no doubt, accuse me of cowardice. They miss (or, more likely, quite deliberately ignore) my point. It is not that, because we have been hit, we must now cower in fear. We should attempt to find those responsible and punish them. But today's horrors, if we are to bring any good forth from evil, must act as a wake up call. This feeling, the one you have today, that gnawing fear at the pit of your stomach: our government has, with far too much regularity, inflicted that feeling on far-flung people who have done as little to offend you as you have to offend the crazed monsters who initiated today's attacks.

The sudden death of thousands of neighbors, the destruction of landmarks so familiar as to be part of our being, the horrific feeling that neither you nor your family are safe: we now can share these experiences with the people of Dresden, of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, of Vietnam, of Iraq, of Sudan, of Serbia.

When government officials told us that it was a matter of "national interest" that we oppose Hussein, or stop Milosevic, or engage in any of the multitude of other "adventures" we have had overseas, they were endorsing courses of action that would inevitably bring the experience of terror to thousands of innocent victims, who had nothing to do with the policies Hussein, Milosevic, or any other tin-pot dictator were enacting. American aggression does not justify the terrorist actions that took place today; such actions only perpetuate the cycle of violence, and are the foolish deeds of evil men. However, just because rattlesnakes are inherently poisonous, that doesn't excuse someone who has wandered around the desert sticking his hand under rocks from shouldering part of the blame for the bites he has received.

The terror unleashed today is the result of a horrific, criminal enterprise. Some of those who took part in it are dead already. To make myself perfectly clear, I will reiterate that those still alive should be caught and punished. (Even here, we must exercise vigilance, as it will be very tempting for our government simply to bomb someone, somewhere, to slake the public thirst for vengeance. The call has already gone out, by at least one bloodlust-mad commentator, for us to "strike back one hundred times harder." If the terrorists have killed 50,000 innocent Americans, then somehow we will set this right by killing 5,000,000 innocent people in some other country!) But you should not doubt this: it is the activities of our own government that have focused the ire of those criminals upon us.

We can only indirectly attempt to control the many violent individuals scattered around the globe, by punishing them after the fact. But, as we live in a democracy, we can try to directly stop the violent activities of our own government. If we can resurrect something positive from the rubble of the World Trade Center, it will be that September 11, 2001 marked a turning point in our nation's history: it was the day we renewed our resolve, present at our nation's founding but since tragically lost, to live in peace with all of the other inhabitants of our world.

The Unknown Enemy

It was predictable. For years I’ve been writing that the U.S. Government has been making more enemies than Americans really need, all over the globe, and that one of these days some of them would have a nasty surprise for us.

In fact it nearly happened a few years ago, when Islamic radicals tried to blow up the World Trade Center. But of course they made a botch of it and got caught.

This time, though, someone pulled off what must have been an extremely cunning conspiracy, a criminal feat for the ages. They managed to execute a secret plan calling for four simultaneous hijackings of airplanes. Those who committed these coordinated deeds – in spite of all security measures – also had the determination to die in hitting their targets.

This wasn’t "terrorism." This was war. It wasn’t a random attempt to scare people with an arbitrary atrocity, like the bombing of a pizza joint; it was a serious attempt to kill as many people and do as much material damage as possible at two strategic targets, the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

But, as I write, hours after the attacks, we don’t know who is at war with us. We may never know. Who has reason to hate this country? Only a few hundred million people – Arabs, Muslims, Serbs, and numerous others whose countries have been hit by U.S. bombers.

Imagine hating a country so much that you were willing to cross an ocean and carry out an elaborate revenge against its people, killing yourself in the process. This is something far more than the sort of ideological anti-Americanism that leads student mobs to throw stones at U.S. embassies abroad; that’s kid stuff. This is an obsessive, fanatical, soul-consuming hatred.

Foreigners aren’t quite real to Americans, and most Americans are unaware of how profoundly their government antagonizes much of the human race. We are easy-going people who generally have no idea how bullying we seem to foreigners. Until now, we have had no experience of what the U.S. Government has so often inflicted on others. Now, at least, we have an inkling of what it feels like.

Government spokesmen have responded with their usual cant of "cowardly attacks" by "terrorists" who "hate democracy and freedom." Rubbish. A fanatic who is ready to die is the opposite of a coward, and nobody can "hate" such abstractions as "democracy and freedom" with that kind of intensity.

It’s dangerous to belittle your enemy, especially when his courage and cunning have already proved as formidable as his hatred and cruelty. The first question you should ask about your enemy is why he is your enemy in the first place.

You may be deluding and flattering yourself if you assume he hates you for your virtues. But our "leaders" assure us that our enemies are unnaturally evil people who hate us only because we are so wonderful. And they manage to utter this nonsense with an air of tough-minded realism.

True realism, on the other hand, doesn’t mean blaming Americans for bringing these horrifying and truly evil acts on themselves. It does mean trying to imagine alien perspectives from which our government’s conduct might appear so intolerable that some people might be driven to take atrocious revenge.

"To understand all is to forgive all," says the French aphorism. Not true. But understanding all can at least teach you how to avoid making enemies, and avoiding making enemies is the best defense – better than a $300 billion "defense" budget that didn’t defend the World Trade Center.

The great director Jean Renoir was once asked why there were no villains in his films. He answered simply:

"Everyone has his reasons." Your bitterest enemy may have his reasons for hating your guts. You may not think they are good or sufficient reasons, but you’d better take them into account. If he has any brains, he may find a way to hurt you.

The United States is now a global empire that wants to think of itself as a universal benefactor, and is nonplussed when foreigners don’t see it that way. None of the earlier empires of this world, as far as I know, shared this delusion; the Romans, the Mongols, the British, the Russians and Soviets didn’t expect to rule and to be loved at the same time. Why do we?

Experts worldwide in numerous relevant fields have voiced similar disturbing questions regarding the horrifying attacks carried out against the United States today: questions which can logically and reasonably lead to only one inescapable conclusion. Indeed, speaker after speaker on many news programs broadcast in the aftermath of this morning's extraordinary assaults reiterated that to some degree or other, this morning's events HAD TO BE AN "INSIDE JOB."

This is certainly true -- to an extent which will boggle even the most stoic and unflappable of minds.

It was an inside job, alright -- inside, all the way to the very highest levels of the national government. Such as G.W. Bush.

Who just happened to be out of Washington D.C. today when the "terrorists" crashed one of their hijacked planes into the Pentagon.

By virtue of the extraordinary levels of organization, planning and coordination which clearly underlie this morning's horrendous assault upon the World Trade Center buildings in New York (more about the Pentagon assault momentarily); by virtue of the fact that SUPPOSEDLY "terrorist" teams WITH WEAPONS were able to board at LEAST five long-range jet flights this morning, undetected by ANY an ALL security personnel at the airports involved, and that members of each team were FULLY capable pilots with the know-how to aim large jets at specific targets; in light of the fact that APPARENTLY the intelligence agencies of the United States failed UTTERLY to get wind of this massive, obviously thoroughly planned, timed and precisely-executed military attack upon the nation; in light of the unarguable fact that "President" Bush's job approval ratings have been absolutely subterranean and are getting steadily worse, and that the global elite/New World Order so thoroughly embodied in G.W. Bush have been scheming for years on ways to burst America's bubble and put the people of this country more firmly under the heels of the globaloid "New World Order"; in light of ALL the above, there is literally and obviously no real doubt whatsoever that the incalculably vicious destruction unleashed today in this country was, in the ULTIMATE analysis, set in motion by the Bush InternationalCrime Family and the forces of global totalitarianism they are so closely allied with.

So many of the BushMob's high-priority agendas are furthered by this morning's events that it's just not possible they were not the original and primary motivators of the monstrous devastation wrought in New York City.

Very likely, working in close concert with their legions of cohorts and allies throughout the Middle East who in turn manipulate and instigate rabid anti-American sentiments among various Moslem populations, producing crazed zealots all to eager to die for their "cause", BushMob higher-ups exploited such elements, utilized their hate and anger and fomented the attacks carried out today, in furtherance of the hellish agendas of the global elite/new World Order. Such elements -- the "usual suspects" -- will no doubt be routinely accused, and massive "reprisals" of some kind will no doubt be implemented by the BushMobsters against unfortunate Moslem populations, thereby serving to increase the hatred of these people for the United States. Which is just what the global elite want.

Remember: when the federal building in Oklahoma City was bombed, the first fingers were pointed at "Moslem" terrorists. Yet Tim McVie, who surely had SOMETHING to do with that incident even if as nothing more than a patsy, was an ex-U.S. military man KNOWN to have been a subject in government mind control activities.

Very likely, considering the vast scope of the destruction unleashed today, the TRUE perpetrators will go much further this time in covering their tracks, and will have used Moslem extremists to actually carry out the suicide assaults.

Due to vast number of casualties involved in the destruction of the World Trade Center towers, the psychological impact upon the American people is likely to be very severe. It's a tried and true Machiavellian tactic: create the problem -- in this case, severe deadly attacks upon the nerve centers of the nation SUPPOSEDLY emanating from an "EXTERNAL" source, and then offer the "solution" -- possible nuclear war against supposed "foreign" perpetrators, and a massive increase in "martial law" type scenarios at home. Create a MAJOR "external" threat, and then sit back and watch the 'tribe" rally round the "leader."

And what's more, the single most important location in terms of world commerce and finance was today utterly destroyed.

Look for a HUGE impact not only upon international finance and international affairs and relations but also upon the domestic economy and upon our society in general.

And as for the hit on the Pentagon? Many of our sources have stated over the years that there exist tremendous schisms within the federal government. Anti-democratic (remember our last presidential "election?") BushMob/NWO elements are engaged in a serious struggle for dominance with other factions -- some of which actually are seeking to preserve and further democracy and human freedom. Some of these elements count among their ranks highly-placed members of the U.S. military.

The hit on the Pentagon could very well have been an additional move by the BushMob to cement and consolidate power within the highest levels of the U.S. military. You're either with us, or you're dead.

Indeed, as so many commentators and analysts have already noted, there is literally no way that what took place today in New York and Washington D.C. was NOT an inside job.

This is directly analogous to the burning of the Reichstag in Germany by Hitler: an event perpetrated by the Nazis yet blamed upon "Communists", "Jews" and so on, and used to terrorize the German people into acceding to the Nazi takeover of their nation. The political roots of the terror attack

on New York and Washington

The World Socialist Web Site unequivocally condemns the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Those responsible for the hijacking of four commercial passenger aircraft and their conversion into flying bombs are guilty of mass murder. Nothing of a socially progressive character will be achieved on the basis of such an indiscriminate and callous destruction of human life.

These acts of homicidal terrorism manifest a toxic combination of demoralized pessimism, religious and ultra-nationalist obscurantism, and, it must be added, political opportunism of the vilest character. Terrorist organizations—notwithstanding their anti-American rhetoric—base their tactics on the illusion that random acts of horrific violence will compel the US ruling class to shift its policies. Thus, in the final analysis, they hope to make a deal with Washington.

However it seeks to justify itself, the terrorist method is fundamentally reactionary. Far from dealing a powerful blow against imperialist militarism, terrorism plays into the hands of those elements within the US establishment who seize on such events to justify and legitimize the resort to war in pursuit of the geopolitical and economic interests of the ruling elite. The murder of innocent civilians enrages, disorients and confuses the public. It undermines the struggle for the international unity of the working class, and counteracts all efforts to educate the American people on the history and politics that form the background to contemporary events in the Middle East.

Nevertheless, our condemnation of Tuesday’s terrorist outrages does not in the slightest imply any lessening of our principled and irreconcilable opposition to the policies of the US government. Anyone who wishes to understand the why and wherefore of yesterday’s events must study the historical and political record of the US in the Middle East, especially over the last 30 years. The unrelenting efforts of American imperialism to secure its domination over the oil resources of the region, which has entailed, among other things, unstinting support for the Israeli state’s oppression of the Palestinian people, has placed the United States in violent opposition to the legitimate and irrepressible democratic, national and social aspirations of the Arab masses.

In the immediate aftermath of Tuesday’s events, politicians, editorialists and media pundits have declared over and over that Americans must recognize that the destruction of the World Trade Center means the United States is at war and must act accordingly. But the fact of the matter is that the US government has been engaged in direct warfare in the Middle East, in one form or another, for the better part of two decades.

Putting aside the massive material aid that it provides for Israeli military operations, the United States has been bombing one or another Middle Eastern country almost continuously since 1983. US bombers and/or battleships have attacked Lebanon, Libya, Iraq, Iran, the Sudan and Afghanistan. Without actually declaring war, the United States has conducted military operations against Iraq for nearly 12 years. The ongoing daily bombings of Iraq are barely mentioned in the American media, which has made no attempt to ascertain the total number of Iraqis killed by US bombs since 1991.

Given this bloody record, why should anyone be surprised that those who have been targeted by the United States have sought to strike back?

The same media that is now screaming for blood has routinely applauded the use of violence against whatever country or people are deemed to be obstacles to US interests. Let us recall the words of New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, who had this to say to the Serbian people during the US bombing campaign in 1999: “It should be lights out in Belgrade: every power grid, water pipe, road and war-related factory has to be hit.... [W]e will set your country back by pulverizing you. You want 1950? We can do 1950. You want 1389? We can do 1389.”

The foreign policy of the US is a mixture of cynicism, brutality and irresponsibility. Washington has pursued a course that has inflamed the hatred of large sections of the world’s population, creating an environment in which recruits can be found for bloody terrorist operations. In rare moments of candor, foreign policy specialists have acknowledged that the actions of the United States provoke hatred and the desire for retribution. During the Balkan War, former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger stated: “We’ve presented to the rest of the world a vision of the bully on the block who pushes a button, people out there die, we don’t pay anything except the cost of a missile ... that’s going to haunt us in terms of trying to deal with the rest of the world in the years ahead.”

This insight has not prevented the same Eagleburger from declaring Tuesday night that the United States should respond to the destruction of the World Trade Center by dropping bombs immediately on any country that might have been involved.

George W. Bush’s address to the nation Tuesday evening epitomized the arrogance and blindness of the American ruling class. Far from America being “the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world,” the US is seen by tens of millions as the main enemy of their human and democratic rights, and the main source of their oppression. The American ruling elite, in its insolence and cynicism, acts as if it can carry out its violent enterprises around the world without creating the political conditions for violent acts of retribution.

In the immediate aftermath of Tuesday’s attacks, US authorities and the media are once again declaring that Osama bin Laden is responsible. This is possible, although, as always, they present no evidence to back up their claim.

But the charge that bin Laden is the culprit raises a host of troubling questions. Given the fact that the US has declared this individual to be the world’s most deadly terrorist, whose every move is tracked with the aid of the most technologically sophisticated and massive intelligence apparatus, how could bin Laden organize such an elaborate attack without being detected? An attack, moreover, against the same New York skyscraper that was hit in 1993?

The devastating success of his assault would indicate that, from the standpoint of the American government, the crusade against terrorism has been far more a campaign of propaganda to justify US military violence around the world than a conscientious effort to protect the American people.

Moreover, both bin Laden and the Taliban mullahs, whom the US accuses of harboring him, were financed and armed by the Reagan-Bush administration to fight pro-Soviet regimes in Afghanistan in the 1980s. If they are involved in Tuesday’s operations, then the American CIA and political establishment are guilty of having nurtured the very forces that carried out the bloodiest attack on American civilians in US history.

The escalation of US militarism abroad will inevitably be accompanied by intensified attacks on democratic rights at home. The first victims of the war fever being whipped up are Arab-Americans, who are already being subjected to death threats and other forms of harassment as a result of the media hysteria.

The calls from both Republican and Democratic politicians for a declaration of war foreshadow a more general crackdown on opponents of American foreign policy. General Norman Schwarzkopf, who commanded American troops in the 1991 invasion of Iraq, spoke for much of the political and military elite when he declared on television that the war on alleged terrorist supporters should be conducted inside as well as outside the borders of the US.

It is the policies pursued by the United States, driven by the strategic and financial interests of the ruling elite, which laid the foundations for the nightmare that unfolded on Tuesday. The actions now being contemplated by the Bush administration—indicated by the president’s threat to make “no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them”—will only set the stage for further catastrophes.

The most massive so-called "terrorist" attacks on U.S. soil since the
Oklahoma City bombings of 1995, were known, a week ahead of time, by
the American CIA. Among the foreign intelligence agencies who
penetrated the plots were the French CIA and Israel's The Mossad,
units of both often working with one another.

Foreign intelligence sources confirm the validity of this story. And
they state that they informed the U.S. secret police who absolutely
failed, neglected, and outright refused to take action as to known
prior specifics of which the top-level of the CIA were informed in
advance.

As made known to the CIA, were the following, among other details:

[1] That George Herbert Walker Bush, as President, at the close of
the Persian Gulf War, 1991, arranged to bring into the U.S. some four
thousand Iraqi military officers, some from intelligence units, and
their families.

[2] Some 550 of these officers became residents in Lincoln, Nebraska,
AND TWO THOUSAND OF THEM took up residence in Oklahoma City. In a
watered down story, CBS' "60 Minutes" Program did a segment once on
this about Lincoln, Nebraska but said NOTHING about the Iraqi
military officers in Oklahoma City.

[3] The financial and other provisions for them and their families
were arranged by the Elder Bush, and then quietly continued by Bill
Clinton as President, and perpetuated by George W. Bush as White
House "resident" and "occupant". The arrangements included financial
subsidies, housing, and employment for the Iraqi officers.

[A brave Oklahoma City TV Reporter, Jayna Davis, on their local TV
station, put on the air several stories about the Iraqi connection to
the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building, the bombing done with
the aid of domestic dissidents as surrogates. A group bought out the
TV station and silenced her. Timothy McVeigh's chief defense counsel
for the murder trial, Stephen Jones, on behalf of McVeigh, filed an
extra-ordinary petition in the next higher court, just prior to the
murder trial. To no avail, Jones tried to force Denver U.S. District
Judge Richard Matsch to compel the American CIA to disgorge records
held by them showing prior U.S. knowledge of the bombing, as
confirmed by other known records, some of them also in secret court
records. We have a copy of the 185 page U.S. Court of Appeals, 10th
Circuit, petition filed by Jones and almost uniformly ignored by the
American monopoly press. The petition raises the Iraqi connection.]

[4] The foreign intelligence agencies informed the American CIA that
guns would be planted on-board as many as ten U.S. commercial
airflights. This to be done by airplane clean-up crew members who are
generally not subject to airport security provisions. These workers
most likely did not know the purpose of the gun-planting.

[5] The CIA also was informed prior to the "terrorist" attacks
scheduled for "911" Emergency Day [September 11], that highly skilled
Iraqi pilots, among the four thousand Iraqi officers resident in the
U.S., would take over the commercial flights, by retrieving the
weapons concealed onboard, and then commandeering the flight deck.

[6] The Elder Bush, Clinton, and George W. Bush, all were in a
position to know that the Iraqi officers that they provided for
included some double-agents. The FBI Counter-Intelligence Division at
no time was instructed to do anything about these double-agents in a
position to commit mischief, murder, and mayhem, on U.S. soil.

[7] As I revealed a week prior to the "terrorist" attacks, some
foreign television networks were busy preparing lengthy documentaries
that would scandalize George W. Bush and other members of the Bush
Family, including the Elder Bush and Jeb Bush. The subject matter
included how forty million dollars in dope funds were used by the
Bush Family to reportedly corrupt South Florida DEMOCRATS to abandon
the recount even ahead of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling installing
George W. Bush as the "resident" and "occupant" of the White House.
The dope funds came reportedly from Bush Family business partner,
Carlos Lehder, co-founder of the U.S./Colombia medellin dope cartel.

[8] As part of the targetting of the World Trade Center buildings, a
group of surrogates for the Iraqi military officers, reportedly spent
considerable time within one of the buildings, with building security
officers somehow oblivious of their presence.

[9] As the CIA top officials were informed and had prior knowledge,
the purpose of the "terrorist" attacks was to effectively paralyze
the financial infrastructure of the U.S. Some of the most important
stock and bond houses in the world, with their key people having
loads of inside knowledge and hard to replace trading tricks and
expertise, were located in the known-to-be-targetted twin towers of
the World Trade Center, New York City. It was like blowing up the
main "financial factory" and destroying their inventory. The so-
called "back-up" records kept parked across the river in New Jersey,
are not only inadequate but cannot help reconstruct various accounts
and transactions in the works.

Financial experts tell us the "back up" records parked in New Jersey,
may NOT be sufficient to re-start the American financial apparatus.
Some of the experts are loudly grumbling that they should have early
on seen Federal Reserve Czar Alan Greenspan on the television
explaining about the financial ramifications. Of course, some suppose
that Americans would panic and run out of control. So we are dealt
with like little children.

[10] It is a serious mistake, according to savvy American and foreign
intelligence sources, to blame the Emergency all on Osama bin Laden.
As readers of our website are aware, we have long pointed out that
bin Laden is reportedly in the Mid-East Construction business. His
reputed partners? The family of Sharon PERCY Rockefeller. She is the
wife of John D. Rockefeller 4th (D., W.Va.), great grandson of the
founder of the infamous Standard Oil Trust that used to bomb their
own obsolete buildings to falsely blame onto their competitors. Bin
Laden's so-called "secret" accounts, which the White House has said
they would like to freeze, are or have been actually reportedly in
the Harris Bank, Chicago, joint accounts with the family of Sharon
PERCY Rockefeller.

[11] The Saudi Royal Family actually consists of some five thousand
members, some of whom actually are for the U.S. and some anti-U.S.
Some of them have bankrolled Iraq's war against Iran, 1980 to 1988,
to destroy some oil facilities and keep the price of oil HIGH. The
foreign intelligence agencies, that penetrated the plots to be
carried out on U.S. soil, are aware that some of the Saudi royals are
actually sympathetic to the Iraqis destroying the World Trade Center
Buildings and in part, wrecking the Pentagon. [As if the American CIA
did not ALREADY have their own knowledge of this.]

Whenever there is a political assassination or some other unusual
violent event, what is the key question the oil-soaked, spy-riddled
monopoly press ALWAYS fails to ask? WHO BENEFITS. With a scandal
about to break against George W. Bush, he and his circle had an
interest NOT to stop these things from happening. And to divert
attention. The White House has a strong motive to silence critics and
urge people TO RALLY AROUND THE PRESIDENT. Simple-minded folks, of
course, often poorly informed,do not understand how the ruling
classes would shed the blood of thousands if not millions of innocent
people, in some instigated war, to avoid dealing with the apparent on-
coming economic disasters.

In the midst of this prior-knowledge emergency, who dares now to
point to the Bush Family as reputed business partners of the major
kingpin, Carlos Lehder, of the U.S./Colombia medellin dope cartel? Or
how huge dope money bought the Electoral College trick in Florida and
corrupted the U.S. Supreme Court's "gang of five".

This is America's REICHSTAG fire. Adolph Hitler burned down the
German parliament and falsely blamed his enemies and had them rounded
up and put in the concentration camps. Has the U.S. Constitution now

Israeli officials and intelligence analysts said the suicide hijackings that downed the World Trade Center and destroyed parts of the Pentagon was too large an operation for any one group. The analysts said the operation was also too big even for a coalition of Islamic terrorists headed by Saudi billionaire fugitive Osama Bin Laden. Bin Laden is accused of masterminding the bombings of the U.S. embassies in eastern African in 1998. Intelligence sources briefed the Cabinet of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on late Tuesday, hours after the catastrophe in New York and Washington, Middle East Newsline reported. The sources were quoted as telling the Cabinet that a Middle East government was probably the sponsor of the attack. The most likely sponsor for such an attack, the sources said, is Iraq. The Baghdad regime has long maintained an alliance with Bin Laden and Islamic groups. "All the steps lead to him [Bin Laden]," Reuven Paz, a leading expert on Islamic terrorism, said. "Of all the countries, Iraq seems the most reasonable [candidate]." In Baghdad, Iraqi state television appeared to welcome the bombings. The television said the spate of attacks demonstrated the vulnerability of the United States. "The massive explosions in the centers of power in America, notably the Pentagon, is a painful slap in the face of U.S. politicians to stop their illegitimate hegemony and attempts to impose custodianship on peoples," the television said. "It was no coincidence that the World Trade Center was destroyed in suicidal operations involving two planes that have broken through all U.S. security barriers to carry the operation of the century and to express rejection of the reckless U.S. policy." "The collapse of U.S. centers of power is a collapse of the U.S. policy, which deviates from human values and stands by world Zionism at all international forums to continue to slaughter the Palestinian Arab people and implement U.S. plans to dominate the world under the cover of what is called the new [world] order," the television added. "These are the fruits of the new U.S. order." The Israeli Cabinet was informed that the United States might launch a massive attack on Iraq and Afghanistan over the coming days. The sources said such an attack could prompt a regional war. On early Wednesday, Afghanistan appeared to have been a target of retaliation. Several bombings were heard in the Afghan capital of Kabul. U.S. officials denied that their country was responsible. In the aftermath of the suicide bombings in the United States, Israel closed its air space. Israel also warned the Palestinian Authority to immediately stop all attacks against the Jewish state.

I'm watching the dust from the World Trade Center buildings settle and the Pentagon burn, while the White House is evacuated. The FAA has grounded all flights, as it now appears that three domestic commercial airliners were hijacked and crashed into these buildings, and possibly one other plane crashed before finding its target. What else could have happened but a well organized terrorist attack? From here the script is set. The pundits on TV have already mentioned Osama bin Laden. Retired General Wesley Clark maneuvered into his favorite position, full frontal camera, and announced that only Ossama bin Laden had the resources to co-ordinate such an attack. Newt Gingrich repeated basically the same thing. George Bush has promised that the government will hunt the terrorists down and punish them. "Terrorism against our nation will not stand." Huh? Sadly, terrorism already did stand, the World Trade Centers did not, and the terrorists most directly responsible are already dead. Back to the TV where the anchor goes on about the previous bombing of the World Trade Centers, the bombing of the USS Cole, Oklahoma City, and the bombing of our African Embassies. Tomorrow the calls for a national day of mourning will begin. Somewhere in this formula of terrorism, mourning, Tomahawk-revenge, repeat, the news-media are failing to connect the dots.

Where and why did the cycle begin? Why do people hate the United States enough to come here and try to wreck the maximum amount of death and destruction possible? Why, why, why? Terrorism gets its name from the type of attack designed to generate the maximum amount of terror. The terrorists responsible for these attacks understood psychology well, and used it to maximum advantage as they planned their attack. They also had a reason for choosing the targets they did. Lets start with the targets, The World Trade Center Towers and the Pentagon. The World Trade Centers, besides the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building were two of the most widely recognized buildings in New York. They stood at the edge of the financial district, right on Wall Street. They were the two largest symbols of American global corporatism in New York City. They were also crammed full of people, with approximately 50,000 civilians working in the two every day.

The terrorist messages, intentional or not, are fivefold. First, civilians are not safe; they are fair game. Second, a highly secure building in the middle of America's financial capital is not safe; therefore, no office building in any city is safe. The result: office buildings in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, Washington, and other cities emptied within hours of the attacks. The UN and all government buildings in Washington were evacuated. Third, the airlines are not safe. The terrorists hijacked at least 4 planes, from four different airports, and two different airlines. Fourth, the terrorists attacked the symbol of International finance. Why? Fifth, the United States military is despised by whoever did this. The method of attack, and the timing tells us these terrorists had coldly calculated how to cause the greatest amount of grief for America. The flights were all domestic flights. The departure and arrival cities for the flights may have been only coincidental to the terrorist goal of hijacking the largest jets, but I don't think this was the case. It's easier to study a single airport for security weaknesses, get your people hired on the inside, and get weapons through, than it is to hijack planes from Boston, Washington, and Newark. That means security at three separate major airports was compromised. With end route cities in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Newark, Washington, and Boston, people across the entire U.S. have lost loved ones as a result of these attacks.

As of this writing, a group with the name "Palestine" in it is the only one to claim responsibility for attacks. Why would a group of Palestinians claim responsibility for the attack? Why would Palestinians be so happy about the attacks? Why would the terrorists attack military / government and banking targets? Could it be that Palestinian terrorists perceive the United States to favor Israel in the current Intifada. New York is renowned for its large Jewish population, and banking is considered a historically Jewish profession. I think the picture is becoming a little bit clearer. Maybe that's why the World Trade Centers were targeted in New York City. Don't get me wrong, they made good terrorist targets for logistical reasons alone: sheer height, the amount of media coverage in New York City, and the timing of the attack ensured that cameras would capture the murders and mayhem, broadcasting live to an audience of millions. Chalmers Johnson has theory. He calls it blow-back. It's simple really. When a big strong country uses its military or money to push around a smaller country, the smaller country can only fight back via terrorism. And provoked enough, the smaller country will fight back. The Pentagon folks call it asymmetrical war, as in, the two sides are not even. Our side has nukes, aircraft carriers, fighters, tanks, Tomahawks, and is considering missile defense. The other side has a minimum of 4 suicidal hijackers pilots, 12 suicidal hijackers with any kind of gun, some friends in airport security, maintenance, catering, or baggage, an agreed upon date, time, and target list, and enough money to buy a few dozen plane tickets.

When Nikolay Soltys or Joseph Ferguson goes on a murder spree in California, we shake our heads and dismiss it as the doings of a lunatic. When at least a dozen people carry out coordinated suicide terrorist attacks on specific targets in the United States, something besides, or perhaps in addition to, insanity is at work. What could stir and feed such a profound hatred? Dismiss the "jealous of America" idea. Jealousy is the petty hatred of small-minded gossips and pickpockets. I think that seeing members of your family killed by armaments supplied by the United States, bought with money supplied by the United States, and used with the support of the United States just might do it. If the cycle went on long enough, perhaps for years, hatred could set it. So the question is, who would do this? Here's a partial list of countries the United States has recently (in the last 10 years) bombed, invaded, supported overthrow of the government, or supplied arms to one side in a war: Palestine, Iraq, Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, and Sudan.

China is an honorary member of the list, because of its embassy bombing, which was probably intentional. Well, we have the usual suspects, and we can bet that a terrorist from any of those countries will see this attack on the U.S. as retaliation for our bombing of their home soil. It's ironic that the initial response is to look to the military for protection after the damage is done, when military involvement around the world was probably the cause. It's ironic to hear calls to hunt down and punish those responsible, when they already paid with their lives.

The evil masterminds remain, and given the success of this attack, they will have legions of new fanatics, ready to die. Even if we eliminate those at the top of the organization, more will take their place. Why? Will we learn anything in the aftermath of this attack? The lessons seem clear enough: follow an isolationist foreign policy. Stop selling weapons and supplying monetary aid to foreign countries, period. Stop meddling in the internal politics of foreign countries, period. How much longer will we blindly support Israel, when it may have cost us thousands of lives instead of billions of dollars? How many more dead Americans do we need before we realize that our military is seen as an occupation force when viewed with foreign eyes, from foreign shores? Bring them home. How many more civilian lives will it take before we realize our government cannot protect us from harm, when it creates millions who hate us abroad? How much more destruction will be wrecked on American soil before we realize that this is a faint reflection of the destruction we have wrecked on Iraq and Yugoslavia? The list of countries we have antagonized is long. The names of the dead in those countries run into the hundreds of thousands, if not millions.

If we do not change our ways, September 11, 2001 will be remembered as the first in a long string of the worst. I pray that it will be the turning point in the way we deal with the world. I pray that it will be the last, worst attack on the people of the United States. In his Gettysburg address, Lincoln said "that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain". Let us resolve to understand why our countrymen were killed, that their deaths may not be in vain.

`What a tangled web we weave When first we practice to deceive." Robert Burns CHANDRA, JOYCE AND MARY - R.I.P.

This is the story of three young women who went to the nation's capital to learn about government. What they learned may have been the cause of their deaths. The three, Chandra Levy, Joyce Chiang and Mary Mahoney had interned in various departments of the executive branch of the federal government. As scandal after scandal swirled about them, they may have become privy to information that made them dangerous to powerful people. This article is about those scandals that likely ended up destroying the young women.

This writer, in several previous articles, has documented the odyssey of Chandra Levy ending with her job at the Bureau of Prisons. As a result of her duties there, the author believes she came into possession of knowledge on one or two subjects that made her dangerous to some in Washington D.C.

The subjects were Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing and the CIA/drug connection possibly through the controversy regarding the whereabouts of Carlos Lehder, cofounder of the Columbian drug cartel. Sometime after the articles were written, Chandra's interest in those subjects was confirmed by no less a person than Gary Condit. He told a Newsweek reporter; "They talked about the upcoming executions of Oklahoma City bomber Tim McVeigh and drug trafficker Juan Raul Garza. "She seemed to have a lot of interest in those two things," said Condit, "a lot more interest in them than I did."

The work and death of the second intern, Joyce Chiang, may very well also tie into the McVeigh and OKC bombing tragedy.

Joyce, a graduate of Smith College interned in the office of California Democrat Representative Howard Berman while a student. After graduation, she worked in his office while attending law school at Georgetown University. She became Berman's expert on immigration law and later, in 1995, took a position as special assistant to the director of the Office of Congressional Relations at the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).

During Timothy McVeigh's Denver trial, the immigration status of one Andreas Strassmeir became an issue. Strassmeir was a German citizen with counter intelligence experience in the German army who was active in the Elohim City compound of a white supremacist group outside of Oklahoma City. According to Carol Howe, a paid BATF informer, Strassmeir had been agitating for direct action against government buildings. Phone records showed that McVeigh had tried to contact Strassmeir at Elohim City a couple of weeks before the bombing.

After the bombing, the BATF notified the INS that it wanted to detain Strassmeir and he was put on the INS's watch list. Also, the FBI and INS had scheduled a raid on Elohim City in February, two months before the bombing to apprehend Strassmeir for alleged weapons and immigration violations. The raid was abruptly canceled with no explanation to date. When Strassmeir turned up in Germany he was taken off the INS watch list.

The McVeigh's defense team tried to introduce evidence of participation in the bombing conspiracy by Strassmeir and Dennis Mahon through the testimony of BATF informant Carol Howe. Special Prosecutor Beth Wilkinson flat out lied to Judge Richard Matsch. She told the judge that Strassmeir was "A mere wisp of the wind." She said Strassmeir's only problem was that he might have overstayed his visa. She falsely stated that the letters "A" and "O" on Strassmeir's immigration record stood for "admitted" and "overstayed" respectively. (See this author's article "Levy/Condit Amazing Coincidences" for background on Wilkinson's role in providing cover for intelligence agencies.)

Wilkinson also falsely told the judge that Carol Howe had been fired by the BATF as mentally unstable and untrustworthy. She falsified the date Howe left the service of the BATF.

Wilkinson's lies were exposed during a trial of Carol Howe. The government had indicted her on weapons violation charges. Her BATF handler, Angela Finley had to admit that Howe was in possession of the weapons at the request of the BATF. She also confirmed that the BATF had given Howe a raise from $25 a day to $400 a day and sent her back into Elohim City for further undercover work after the date Wilkinson said she had been fired. Howe was easily acquitted.

The INS later corrected the record on Strassmeir's immigration status showing that "A" stood for diplomatic passport and "O" for highly qualified. It was also discovered later that Strassmeir had applied for positions with the DEA and CIA.

Later, an appeals court judge gave only mild criticism to Judge Matsch for accepting the word of government prosecutors when contradicted by defense records. Matsch himself has an interesting background.

Judge Matsch was in military counter intelligence during the Korean "conflict." In 1987 he presided over the trial of four white supremacists who were convicted of assassinating radio talk show host Alan Berg. In 1992 his 24-year-old daughter, Betsy, died after accidentally falling into a steam vent at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. He obviously had no stomach for further involvement with white supremacists as he granted the prosecution's motions to suppress the evidence without hesitation.

There were other discrepancies between the representations made by prosecutors about INS records that were the opposite of the truth. Space does not permit listing them.

As an expert on immigration law and department policies and procedures, it is quite likely that Joyce Chiang became aware of the government's duplicity in the trial.

On January 9, 1999 Joyce Chiang disappeared after being dropped off by a friend about three blocks from her apartment with the intention of stopping at the nearby Starbucks coffee shop (a location that would also figure in the murder of Mary Mahoney).

Three months later her body was found in the Potomac River. The body was so badly decomposed that no cause of death could be determined. Because some of her clothing had been found near a bridge over the river, her death was ruled a suicide. Some of her friends doubt that verdict and her brother, Roger, to this day believes she was murdered.

The murder of Mary Caitrin Mahoney and trial of her alleged killer, while probably not tied to the OKC bombing nevertheless involves an almost unbelievable cast of characters at a time large amounts of illegal campaign finance money were being raised and serious breaches of national security occurred.

Mahoney had landed an internship working in the office of the Secretary of Commerce, Norman Mineta (the Current Transportation Secretary) for Doris Matsui. Matsui is the wife of California Democrat Representative Robert Matsui. However, she had political connections of her own having served as a trustee of the California Economic Advisory Council with Public Official Executive Board members, Gray Davis, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein.

Matsui worked closely with John Huang, with the title of deputy assistant to President Clinton. Together they raised over $3 million in campaign funds from Asia and Asian-Americans. $1.2 million had to be returned because it came from corporations and non-citizens.

It was in this time frame that Charlie Trie worked first in the Commerce Department and then transferred to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) but kept his high security clearance. Trie had been attending CIA briefings and then immediately went across the street to the Washington office of Jackson Stephens, the Arkansas broker who was a financial angel of Bill Clinton and placed phone calls to his Chines handler in the Lippo Group in Indonesia.

Stephens was a partner with James Riady of the Lippo Group in the Worthen bank in Little Rock. The bank was alleged to have been involved in laundering CIA drug money. The bank (and Stephens) were involved (along with the Rose Law firm and partners Hillary Clinton, Web Hubbell and Vince Foster) in the takeover of First American in Washington D.C. by BCCI. Robert Bartlett, the then Editorial page editor of the Wall Street Journal said he first starting keeping his eye on the Rose Law firm when he heard of its involvement with BCCI.

And there sat intern Mary Mahoney in the midst of all that activity. The Clinton's had another reason to keep an eye on her. Mary was an open lesbian and aggressive supporter of gay rights. She had become something of a "den mother" for younger interns who claimed to have suffered sexual harassment at the hands of the president (not including Monica) She had been threatening to do something about it.

Mary also held a part time job as assistant cashier at the local Starbucks coffee shop. In July of 1997, she and two other employees were gunned down around closing time by what police claimed was a robbery although no money was taken. Mahoney was shot five times. One of the shots was to the back of her head gangland execution style.

In March of the following year, FBI agent Bradley Garrett arrested Carl Derek Cooper for the three murders. After 54 hours of questioning by Garrett and another agent, Cooper signed a confession that he immediately repudiated as soon as he got to court. Garrett is currently in charge of the Chandra Levy "missing persons" case and was the lead agent on the Vince Foster death determined to be a "suicide."

Judge Joyce Hens Green set a trial date for April 10, 1999. This is the point at which the cast of characters becomes bizarre starting with Judge Green who was first appointed as a federal judge by President Jimmy Carter in 1979.

In the last year of President Reagan's second term, Green was appointed to the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to serve a non-renewable seven-year term. That court deals exclusively with national security and with international terrorism, and involves approving applications for electronic surveillance. Judges on that court require the highest security clearance available. In 1990, then President George Herbert Walker Bush appointed Green presiding judge of that court and she handled all emergency matters during the remaining five years of her term.

Judge Green also presided over the BCCI trial that had resulted from indictments obtained by New York Assistant District Attorney Robert Morgenthau. Morgenthau's investigation was stopped when the FBI stepped in under the direction of Robert Meuller (currently the new FBI Director) and no further investigation ensued. Judge Green approved plea bargains that resulted in BCCI forfeiting its assets in the United States. Two defendants had been indicted, Roger Altman and Clark Clifford an influential power broker in the Democrat party. The two men had accepted the two top spots in First American after the BCCI takeover but claimed they had no idea BCCI was involved in the nearly nine years they functioned in those capacities. Altman was acquitted and Clifford never stood trial because of ill health.

Back to the Cooper trial. Before the trial even started, a controversy arose when Janet Reno announced she was going to seek the death penalty for Cooper. D.C. officials were furious claiming Reno was overstepping her bounds. The district had never asked for the death penalty in any murder case.

Reno held a hearing on the matter. At that hearing, defense attorney William Martin (not connected with the Cooper case) urged Reno to ask for the death penalty. Yes, that's the same Billy Martin who represented Monica Lewinski's mother, Marcia Lewis, and currently represents Chandra Levy's parents.

To complete the cast, Judge Green then appointed attorney Francis D. Carter to represent Cooper. Carter is the Frank Carter to whom Vernon Jordan took Monica Lewinski. Carter prepared the false affidavit for Monica's signature which put her at risk for perjury when she later testified in the Paula Jones sexual harassment case. Monica escaped prosecution when she was granted immunity my independent counsel Ken Starr.

With Carter as his defense counsel, Cooper was convicted despite a weak circumstantial evidence case. There were, of course, no eyewitnesses and Cooper's fingerprints were not found at the murder scene. During his 54 hours of interrogation, Cooper had consistently denied the crime and volunteered several times to take a lie detector test. Most of the testimony against him was by FBI agent Garrett based on Garrett's representation of what Cooper had said during the interrogation. The questioning was not recorded or videotaped although another agent took notes.

One wonders at the array of a high powered Washington judge with ties to the intelligence community and an attorney who barely escaped being disbarred (in another high profile case) in a case claimed to be a routine robbery murder case by a career criminal.

We may never know what information these women possessed that may have led to their demises. Certainly if they confided in any friends, it would take a tremendous act of courage for those friends to come forward given what happened to Chandra, Joyce and Mary. May they rest in peace.

At that time I was about the first to raise questions as to how she somehow wiggled her way into the press office, in Washington, D.C., of the FEDERAL BUREAU OF PRISONS. The oil-soaked, spy-riddled, war-mongering monopoly press seemed to spend all their time raising only tidbits of sexual matters about Chandra and Congressman Gary Condit.

The District of Columbia authorities and the FBI, at least according to press accounts, had not taken an interest in or interviewing fellow employees of hers in that press office. Notice the time-line, tending to show the importance of where Ms Levy was an intern.

===Late November, 2000. Having earned at a California university a Master's Degree in criminal justice and journalism, Ms Levy was given a job as an intern in a very sensitive place. [And what domestic and/or foreign intelligence agencies arranged THAT?] That was about the time Timothy McVeigh decided not to appeal further the murder conviction as to the bombing of the Federal Office Building in Oklahoma City, April 19, 1995.

In December, 2000, the Federal trial Judge Richard Matsch in Denver set the McVeigh execution date as May 16, 2001. That piece of data got lost in the press shuffle as it occurred on the same day that the "Gang of Five" on the U.S. Supreme Court installed George W. Bush as the "occupant" and "resident" of the White House. Albert Gore, Jr., having won the popular vote nationwide by some 600,000 votes, became the un-inaugurated President of the U.S. That was historically similar to the 1876 Presidential Election when U.S. troops blocked Tilden, who won the popular vote, from approaching the inauguration site where Hayes was sworn in as "President". The Hayes forces, like with George W. Bush, stole the White House through an Electoral College vote using a corrupt U.S. Supreme Court Judge as well as corruption in the FLORIDA voting. ===As the time ticked away toward the execution date, Ms Levy reportedly had taken a great interest in unearthing details through her press office connection. After all, as a child she used to volunteer to assist the local police in her home district. At an early age she hoped to have a career reportedly in the American CIA. The McVeigh affair was a repository of numerous secrets tending to incriminate George Herbert Walker Bush, Bill Clinton, and then White House occupant George W. Bush. Such as the suppressed and concealed Iraqi connection to the multiple bombings in Oklahoma City. Such as, the publicly-undisclosed FBI surveillance tapes showing in the month before the bombings, McVeigh in the company of Iraqi military officers, supposed "defectors" (actually double agents) brought into the U.S. by the Elder Bush. Two thousand such Iraqi military officers, some from intelligence units, since the end of the Persian Gulf War in 1991, have been settled, financed, and housed in OKLAHOMA CITY. Making the arrangements was the Elder Bush as President, and continuing the same with Clinton as President and then George W. Bush as White House resident.

===Some weeks after her disappearance on the afternoon of May 1, 2001, the FBI contends Ms Levy was last in her apartment in the District of Columbia that afternoon using her computer. [Could someone else having been using her computer, somehow knowing her password?] The FBI announced that they had retrieved, from her hard disk drive, from that afternoon, some 38 websites viewed by her. They proclaimed that none of them was important. REALLY? They said she [or was it her alter ego and ghost] had clicked on GoFrance.About.com. It is a website for those wishing to visit France. Maps, travel guides, and such,are given on-line. The site is reportedly also used by the French CIA to track those interested in visiting France who should, in their view, be surveilled. In our original story, we raised the questions of Ms Levy with The Mossad, Israeli intelligence, comparing the situation to that of Monica Lewinsky. A section of The Mossad has long collaborated with a unit of the French CIA, sort of an open secret.

Newsweek reporter Michael Isikoff, in a supposedly exclusive story, claimed Gary Condit had an alibi for the early afternoon of May 1, 2001. Condit was supposedly in the office of Vice President Richard Cheney. And that Cheney supposedly was trying to win Condit over to the GOP position as to the electric mess in California. [Newsweek website 7/20/01.] Going back to the time Isikoff was with the sister publication, the Washington Post, he seemed to always be a reputed front for foreign intelligence and the American CIA, poo-pooing any real information as merely the ravings of "conspiracy theorists".

===A few days after her disappearance, the FBI sheepishly admits on May 10, 2001, that they somehow "forgot" to give McVeigh's lawyers some three thousand documents. [Caused by details Ms Levy uncovered through the Bureau of Prisons?] So, the execution date is changed to June 11, 2001. There are ten media people selected to be at the death house window at the Terre Haute, Indiana, prison, to witness the execution of McVeigh. One of them, not contradicted by the others, says that "he appeared to be still breathing or what appeared to be shallow breathing, even after being pronounced dead and his eyes remained open". Video interview on MSNBC, (video streaming,6/11/01), of Susan Carlson, reporter for WLS-AM Radio, Chicago. [Story was suppressed by most other media, including all mass media in Chicago, including apparently her own radio station.] Some doctors ridiculed the way the prison people put the go-to-sleep sedative in McVeigh's leg, not a major upper body vein. In the leg, the sedative would take, some doctors claim, four hours to act. Hey, isn't a go-to-sleep sedative supposed to make you do that, that is, close your eyes and go to sleep?

===July 29, 2001, some five weeks after I raised the Levy-Bureau of Prisons issue, the Washington Times publishes a story entitled "Who is Chandra Levy?" In it they state, "Her job at the Bureau of Prisons information office required her to do internet searches and scan newspapers to prepare daily news summaries, answer telephone calls and mail, and help with SPECIAL PROJECTS. IN ONE, SHE COORDINATED MEDIA ATTENDANCE AT PLANNING SESSIONS FOR THE EXECUTION OF OKLAHOMA BOMBER TIMOTHY McVEIGH." (Emphasis added.)

The owners of the Washington Times reportedly are the Korean CIA by and through Rev. Sun Myung Moon who ostensibly launders billions of dollars from tax-dodging and illegal dealings of heavy industry in South Korea. It is more or less an open secret that Americans are seldom reminded of that. [The Elder Bush has been a paid lobbyist and consultant for Rev. Moon's propaganda activities in South America.] By raising the McVeigh-Ms Levy issue, is the Korean CIA trying again to blackmail the American government for an advantage for South Korea? Some years ago, there was a tremendous scandal in Washington. The Korean CIA reportedly bribed or attempted to bribe, key members of the U.S. Congress. Have we all forgotten about this event? [For some years, crusading reporter Robert Parry has written stories for his newsletter exposing the clandestine dealings of Rev. Moon and his gang.]

For some months I have been discussing this time-line on various radio talk-shows.

The McVeigh matter was not the only thing Ms Levy did using her position in the key place in the Federal Bureau of Prisons apparatus. She unearthed reportedly details tending to incriminate George Herbert Walker Bush and his sons George W. and Jeb, among others. Ms Levy was inquiring into a great little-mentioned secret. That is, the disappearance reportedly from the U.S. prison system of Carlos Enrique Lehder Rivas, also known as CARLOS LEHDER. With the aid and blessings of the Elder Bush and his sons, and the American CIA, Lehder was the co-founder of the Medellin Dope Cartel in Colombia.

Lehder is the only drug cartel baron to have been extradited to the U.S. where he was put on trial on federal criminal charges, convicted, and originally sentenced to more than a life term.

Some background. In the late 1970s, Jeb Bush was installed as the head of the Venezuela unit of Texas Commerce Bank, a principal owner of which was his father, George Herbert Walker Bush. The bank unit reportedly became part of the money laundering of proceeds from the Colombia Medellin Drug Cartel co-founded by Carlos Lehder as a Bush Family business partner. The Drug Cartel was moreso headquartered in the U.S. than in Colombia. It was part of the whole CIA operation to the southern states of the United States, headquartered, in part, through an airport in western Arkansas, at Mena. The Elder Bush, his sons Jeb and George W., and Ollie North, and Bill Clinton, were all part of the operation. Guns were smuggled by CIA airflights to Central America with side-trips to Colombia to pick up huge shipments of cocaine which supported the Colombia economy moreso than coffee.

The tiny First National Bank of Mena, Arkansas, was purchased by the Riady family, ethnic Chinese tied to Bill Clinton and the Bush Family. The bank reportedly was a transmission point for the huge dope cash flow which went up to Garfield Ridge Trust & Savings Bank, Chicago. The Chicago bank for many years had as a principal stockholder Cong. Dan Rostenkowski. For years a Chairman of the Board of the Chicago bank was a reputed former U.S. Secret Service official, Dan Shannon. Rostenkowski, called Rosty for short, was closely aligned with the Chicago markets, the next transmission point of the dope loot from Rosty's bank. That is, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, and a sort of basement, step-sister operation called Chicago Board Options Exchange.

Rosty, as the long-time head of the tax-writing committee of Congress, got many "speech fees" and other benefits from the Chicago markets. He in turn pushed through almost private laws, favoring the Chicago markets with tax loopholes on straddles and hedging. So from Rosty's bank in Chicago the huge dope cash flow reportedly was transmitted to the Chicago markets and disguised as soybean and currency trading. Rosty was eventually defrocked and sent to federal prison for defrauding the private bank of the U.S. Congress.

The Medellin Drug Cartel operating through Mena and the Chicago bank and the Chicago markets, has other collaborators. On occasion when the huge shipments of Colombia dope somehow became an issue in Chicago's highly corrupt federal courts, the Drug Cartel had corrupt federal judges to aid them. One such has been Chicago Federal Appeals Judge Iliana D. Rovner [(312)435-5608] Rovner has been part of the Jim Thompson gang of public office criminals. "Big Jim" formerly Illinois Governor has had Rovner as his legal advisor. In recent years he has been the head of the Winston & Strawn Chicago-based law firm octopus, with worldwide offices. Some years ago on our one-hour public access Cable TV Program, "Broadsides", we told how Winston & Strawn reportedly has an inner unit, walled off from the rest of the law firm, engaging not in lawfirm work but in dope cartel matters. Several employees of the firm after the show was aired confirmed the validity of our charges.

As in the historical example of 1876, the year 2000 election was corrupted in the Electoral College phase through FLORIDA. Cocaine money from the Medellin Cartel, with Carlos Lehder and his business partners the Bush family, was the principal corrupting force. Tens of millions of dope dollars were used to work a malign influence reportedly on DEMOCRAT officials in southern Florida, to have them stop the recounting of the ballots which would have put Gore over the top on the Electoral College vote. Gore was done in by corrupt members of his own party. In politics as a reality, can you talk publicly how your party's OWN KEY PEOPLE, by bribery, stabbed you in the back and helped the Bush Family steal the White House after also corrupting part of the U.S. Supreme Court [just like in 1876]?

The dope cartel loot used for these purposes was laundered for them by at least two Chicago-based commodity brokers funneling the dirty money through the Chicago markets. [The disguised accounts are known to some.]

You can see the tie-in to the Bush family. In the late 1970s, about the time just after the Elder Bush was the head of America's secret political police, the CIA; a major espionage agency operative, Barry Seal operated the airplanes to bring in dope from the Medellin Cartel, with the collaboration of the Bush family, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Ollie North. The co-founders of the drug cartel were Carlos Lehder, originally from Germany, and Pablo Escobar and his two brothers. The links of Barry Seal to the Bush family and the Medellin Cartel is evident in the recent book, "Barry & 'the boys'---The CIA, The Mob, and America's Secret History" by Daniel Hopsicker. Carlos Lehder fought extradition to the U.S. For that purpose, he arranged to shoot up the Colombia Supreme Court Building. The Justices there were considering the extradition issue. Assassinated on Lehder's orders were eleven high court justices and many other people. Lehder also reportedly arranged to have assassinated the Minister of Justice in Colombia.

Carlos Lehder was finally arrested and extradited to the U.S. He became a key witness in the dope trial against Panama strongman Manuel Noriega who had been seized by the Elder Bush as President and his Miliary/CIA. In his own trial, Lehder was convicted and sentenced to more than a life term. BUT, because in his testimony against Noriega, Lehder had evaded mentioning that the Bush family were implicated with Noriega in the dope business, Lehders's sentence was reduced to 55 years in prison.

On occasion, the U.S. federal prison system can be as corrupt as the press tells us the justice system is in Mexico. Why is the monopoly press always pointing to corruption ELSEWHERE instead of right here in America? For a price, we are often told, a major criminal in MEXICO can walk right out of prison and disappear. Is the same true in the U.S.?

Chandra Levy, through her sensitive position in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, through their computers and facilities, and human intelligence contacts, reportedly unearthed a dangerous group of details related to the foregoing. For example, that the Bush Family, to protect themselves from jail, arranged for their business partner, Carlos Lehder, to disappear from the U.S. prison system. Is Lehder in Germany, courtesy of German counter-intelligence? Note, a key witness in the Oklahoma bombings, Andreas Strassmeir, part of German counter-intelligence, reportedly played a role in the bombings. He was allowed to be unlawfully in the U.S. and to disppear from the U.S., thanks to the corruption and connivance of the highest level of the U.S. government. And remember, German counter-intelligence in Frankfurt [tied to Strassmeir], had advance knowledge of the team on the way to the U.S. to assassinate Clinton White House Deputy Counsel Vincent W. For the American Gestapo, that is, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, to say they have no idea what happened to Chandra Levy is simply ridiculous. A deep down FBI secret is that they, early on, suspected she was being used by foreign intelligence agencies, the French CIA and The Mossad, to blackmail the Bush White House. So, the Counter-Intelligence Division of the FBI was tapping her phone. [Hey, does anyone realize that while all this is happening, the Hanssen spy case unfolds. As of now, there seem to be two possibilities. Either Ms Levy has been snuffed out to protect members of the Bush Family and their partnership with drug cartel baron Carlos Lehder and his disappearance from the Federal Prison System. With the Bush Family members if this opened up widely publicly, being subject to federal criminal prosecution for dope money laundering and treason. OR, Ms Levy is parked somewhere overseas, Paris or Tel Aviv, where her details would suddenly surface starting in some major foreign press outlet. In Europe, top officials mumble that George W. is incompetent on financial matters and foreign affairs. Overseas there has started an attack on the so-called U.S. Dollar. Are the profound secrets of McVeigh and Carlos Lehder in some small part, involved in the attack on the U.S. Dollar which some say started with the French Rothschilds?
