THE CASE OF ADAM’S ALIEN GENES
Zecheria Sitchen Writes: As my readers know, what I have said in my books went beyond the common origin of Life (=DNA) on Earth and elsewhere in the Universe. I showed that according to the Sumerian texts (on which the biblical account of Genesis was based), Evolution took its course both on Nibiru and on Earth. When the other leaders of the Anunnaki asked: How can you create a new being? He answered: "The being that we need already exists; all that we have to do is put our mark on it.” The time was some 300,000 years ago. What he had in mind was to upgrade genetically the existing hominids, who were already on Earth through Evolution, by adding some of the genes of the more advanced Anunnaki. That the Anunnaki, who could already travel in space 450,000 years ago, possessed the genomic science (whose threshold we have now reached) is clear not only from the actual texts but also from numerous depictions in which the double-helix of the DNA is rendered as Entwined Serpents (a symbol still used for medicine and healing)

THE CASE OF ADAM’S ALIEN GENES
In whose image was The Adam – the prototype of modern humans, Homo sapiens – created?
The Bible asserts that the Elohim said: “Let us fashion the Adam in our image and after our likeness.” But if one is to accept a tentative explanation for enigmatic genes that humans possess, offered when the deciphering of the human genome was announced in mid-February, the feat was decided upon by a group of bacteria!
“Humbling” was the prevalent adjective used by the scientific teams and the media to describe the principal finding – that the human genome contains not the anticipated 100,000 - 140,000 genes (the stretches of DNA that direct the production of amino-acids and proteins) but only some 30,000+ -- little more than double the 13,601 genes of a fruit fly and barely fifty percent more than the roundworm’s 19,098. What a comedown from the pinnacle of the genomic Tree of Life!
Moreover, there was hardly any uniqueness to the human genes. They are comparative to not the presumed 95 percent but to almost 99 percent of the chimpanzees, and 70 percent of the mouse. Human genes, with the same functions, were found to be identical to genes of other vertebrates, as well as invertebrates, plants, fungi, even yeast. The findings not only confirmed that there was one source of DNA for all life on Earth, but also enabled the scientists to trace the evolutionary process – how more complex organisms evolved, genetically, from simpler ones, adopting at each stage the genes of a lower life form to create a more complex higher life form – culminating with Homo sapiens.
The “Head-scratching” Discovery
It was here, in tracing the vertical evolutionary record contained in the human and the other analyzed genomes, that the scientists ran into an enigma. The “head-scratching discovery by the public consortium,” as Science termed it, was that the human genome contains 223 genes that do not have the required predecessors on the genomic evolutionary tree.
How did Man acquire such a bunch of enigmatic genes?
In the evolutionary progression from bacteria to invertebrates (such as the lineages of yeast, worms, flies or mustard weed – which have been deciphered) to vertebrates (mice, chimpanzees) and finally modern humans, these 223 genes are completely missing in the invertebrate phase. Therefore, the scientists can explain their presence in the human genome by a “rather recent” (in evolutionary time scales) “probable horizontal transfer from bacteria.”
In other words: At a relatively recent time as Evolution goes, modern humans acquired an extra 223 genes not through gradual evolution, not vertically on the Tree of Life, but horizontally, as a sideways insertion of genetic material from bacteria…
An Immense Difference
Now, at first glance it would seem that 223 genes is no big deal. In fact, while every single gene makes a great difference to every individual, 223 genes make an immense difference to a species such as ours.
The human genome is made up of about three billion neucleotides (the “letters” A-C-G-T which stand for the initials of the four nucleic acids that spell out all life on Earth); of them, just a little more than one percent are grouped into functioning genes (each gene consists of thousands of "letters"). The difference between one individual person and another amounts to about one “letter” in a thousand in the DNA “alphabet.” The difference between Man and Chimpanzee is less than one percent as genes go; and one percent of 30,000 genes is 300.
So, 223 genes is more than two thirds of the difference between me, you and a chimpanzee!
An analysis of the functions of these genes through the proteins that they spell out, conducted by the Public Consortium team and published in the journal Nature, shows that they include not only proteins involved in important physiological but also psychiatric functions. Moreover, they are responsible for important neurological enzymes that stem only from the mitochondrial portion of the DNA – the so-called “Eve” DNA that humankind inherited only through the mother-line, all the way back to a single “Eve.” That finding alone raises doubt regarding that the "bacterial insertion" explanation.
A Shaky Theory
How sure are the scientists that such important and complex genes, such an immense human advantage, was obtained by us --“rather recently”-- through the courtesy of infecting bacteria?
“It is a jump that does not follow current evolutionary theories,” said Steven Scherer, director of mapping of the Human Genome Sequencing Center, Baylor College of Medicine.
“We did not identify a strongly preferred bacterial source for the putative horizontally transferred genes,” states the report in Nature. The Public Consortium team, conducting a detailed search, found that some 113 genes (out of the 223) “are widespread among bacteria” – though they are entirely absent even in invertebrates. An analysis of the proteins which the enigmatic genes express showed that out of 35 identified, only ten had counterparts in vertebrates (ranging from cows to rodents to fish); 25 of the 35 were unique to humans.
“It is not clear whether the transfer was from bacteria to human or from human to bacteria,” Science quoted Robert Waterson, co-director of Washington University’s Genome Sequencing Center, as saying.
But if Man gave those genes to bacteria, where did Man acquire those genes to begin with?
The Role of the Anunnaki
Readers of my books must be smiling by now, for they know the answer.
They know that the biblical verses dealing with the fashioning of The Adam are condensed renderings of much much more detailed Sumerian and Akkadian texts, found inscribed on clay tablets, in which the role of the Elohim in Genesis is performed by the Anunnaki – “Those Who From Heaven to Earth Came.”

When the leaders of the Anunnaki approved the project (as echoed in the biblical ”Let us fashion the Adam”), Enki with the help of Ninharsag, the Chief Medical Officer of the Anunnaki, embarked on a process of genetic engineering, by adding and combining genes of the Anunnaki with those of the already-existing hominids.
When, after much trial and error breathtakingly described and recorded in antiquity, a “perfect model” was attained, Ninharsag held him up and shouted: “My hands have made it!” An ancient artist depicted the scene on a cylinder seal (illustration ‘B’).
And that, I suggest, is how we had come to possess the unique extra genes. It was in the image of the Anunnaki, not of bacteria, that Adam and Eve were fashioned.
A Matter of Extreme Significance
Unless further scientific research can establish, beyond any doubt, that the only possible source of the extra genes are indeed bacteria, and unless it is then also determined that the infection (“horizontal transfer”) went from bacteria to Man and not from Man to bacteria, the only other available solution will be that offered by the Sumerian texts millennia ago.
Until then, the enigmatic 223 alien genes will remain as an alternative – and as a corroboration by modern science of the Anunnaki and their genetic feats on Earth.

THE CASE OF THE "INTELLIGENT DESIGNER”
In March 1925 the Tennessee legislature outlawed the teaching of any doctrine denying the divine creation of Man as taught by the Bible. In July of that same year, John T. Scopes, a high school teacher, was brought to trial for teaching Evolution in violation of the state law. The ensuing Scopes Trial (or, deridedly, the "Monkey TriaI”) drew worldwide attention to the seemingly irreconcilable conflict between Creationism (the old fashioned belief in the biblical account) and Evolution (based on Darwin's findings of Natural Selection).
John Scopes was found guilty and was fined $100; the Tennessee law was repealed in 1967; but the debate has not ended: Is Man, Homo sapiens, solely the product of a long process of natural selection (“Evolution"), or the result of a divine decision, a deliberate act by a Creator ("Creationism”)?
The Evolutionists cannot fathom how the other side can ignore the overwhelming evidence for life’s beginnings billions of years ago and claim that it is all the result of six days of creation; the Creationists, pointing out that a complex watch required a watchmaker, cannot see how the sudden appearance of Homo sapiens as the most complex life form can deny the Hand of God.
Enter “Intelligent Design”
In the past several years the debate has manifested itself again, with greater vigor, not only in the so-called Bible Belt states, but also in unexpected places as the Michigan House of Representatives and the Pennsylvania education system. The most recent instance is Ohio, where the arena is the state's Board of Education.
Reports of these developments in the liberal media do not hide a degree of alarm at these developments -- not so much because they continue to occur, but because the attack on Darwinian teachings now come from “Creationism in disguise,” and “a good disguise” at that (Time magazine). The disguise is called "Intelligent Design” (“I.D.” for short); Its proponents, by and large, do not take a position on how Life got here; they just deny that natural selection (i.e. evolution) alone could have brought us about. Somewhere along the way, they hold, there had to be an Intelligent Designer.
What alarms the media and the scientific community is the fact that the proponents of ID are not Bible-waving old ladies, but intellectuals and academics from varied disciplines in science, philosophy and theology. Their concerted attack on Evolutionism has been called by the established scientific community “a wedge strategy to restore Creationism in disguise” (Science magazine).
Identifying the Intelligent Designer
The proponents of the new version of Creationism, one must conclude from a study of their writings and arguments, find it easier to make a case for Intelligent Design than to answer the question: If so, who was the Intelligent Designer?
While many scientific critics of ID hold that the neo-Creationists are conservative Christians upset about the displacement of God from school curricula, “the fact is that many leaders of the new movement prefer to skirt the question, or even allow an abstract “God” to be embedded in the very beginning of the universe: “No one really knows how the universe got built with DNA that can replicate itself,” (in the words of William Demski, a professor of mathematics).
A New York Times Puzzler
In its issue of April 8, 2001, The New York Times, in a page-one article by James Glanz, informed its readers that in spite of some wins by Evolutionists in Kansas, Michigan and Pennsylvania, they “find themselves arrayed not against traditional creationism, with its roots in biblical liberalism, but against a more sophisticated idea: the Intelligent Design theory.”
But who, if so, was the Intelligent Designer? As I was reading the article on that Sunday morning, I was delighted to learn that
The designer may be much like the biblical God, proponents say, but they are open to other explanations, such as the proposition that life was seeded by a meteorite from elsewhere in the cosmos, or the new age philosophy that the universe is suffused with mysterious but inanimate life force.
That proponents of ID consider the bringing of life to Earth by a meteorite as one explanation, I felt, was close enough to my Sumerian explanation that the Seed of Life (what we now call DNA) was imparted to Earth by the invading planet Nibiru during the collision (“Celestial Battle”) some four billion years ago.
But it turned out from examining the newspaper’s website and earlier editions, that the New York City edition that I was reading excised an intriguing and key sentence from the original article. Here is what the paragraph had read in its original version, with the omitted sentence highlighted:
This designer may be much like the biblical God, proponents say, but they are open to other explanations, such as the proposition that life was seeded by a meteorite from elsewhere in the cosmos, POSSIBLY INVOLVING EXTRATERRESTRIAL INTELLIGENCE, or the new age philosophy that the universe is suffused with a mysterious but inanimate life force.
"An Advanced Civilization from Another World"

While I was still wondering how the extraterrestrial angle was excised from the Times article in April 2001, I was delighted to read thus in its editorial on March 17, 2002. Headlined Darwinian Struggle in Ohio, the editorial explained:
Adherents of intelligent design carefully shun any mention of God in their proposals. They simply argue that humans, animals and plants are far too diverse and complex to be explained by evolution and natural selection, so there must have been an intelligent designer behind it all. Whether that designer is God, AN ADVANCED CIVILIZATION FROM ANOTHER WORLD, or some other creative force, is not specified.
The emphasis of the astounding statement is mine.
Back to Enki?
This is quite an advance in acknowledging the Sumerian data – from the general possibility of an involvement by “Extraterrestrial Intelligence” in cosmic life, to an Intelligent Designer from “an advanced civilization from another world.”
It is progress spanning the tale of the collision that spread the Seed of Life to the genetic engineering by the Lord Enki.

GENETICS: SO WHAT ELSE IS NEW?The January 26, 2004 issue of Newsweek magazine, featuring photos of babies on its cover illustrating the main story on “The New Science of Sex Selection” – advances in genetic and fertilization technologies that make it possible to predetermine the sex of one’s baby; not just to find out the baby’s sex once pregnancy is in progress, but to decide ahead of time whether the baby should be a male or a female to begin with. That indeed sounds like a New Science, as the magazine calls it. But a detail in the ten-page long report caught my eye; it sounded as a line out of millennia-old Sumerian texts, inscribed on clay tablets, which described how the gods created Man! Seven and Seven Newsweek’s report begins with the story of a couple from Gilette, Wyo., “who always wanted a baby girl, but the odds seemed stacked against them.” They kept having boys. Then they found out about a fertility institute in California that developed an in-vitro fertilization technique called PGD – Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosys. “By creating embryos outside the womb, then testing them for gender, PGD could guarantee, with almost 100 percent certainty, the sex of the baby.” Then came the eye-catching detail: “Last November Sharla’s eggs and Shane’s sperm were mixed in a lab dish, producing 14 healthy embryos, seven male and seven female." The lab transferred three of the female embyros into Sharla’s uterus, where two implanted successfully. If all goes well, the run of the Miller boys will end in July with the arrival of twin baby girls. The Sumerian Creation Texts In my very first book, The 12th Planet, 1976, I dealt at length with the Sumerian creation texts which provide a highly sophisticated scientific narrative dealing with the creation of our solar system, the formation of the Earth, the evolution of life on Earth, the coming to Earth of the Anunnaki from their planet Nibiru, and their employment of genetic engineering to fashion Homo sapiens from a primitive human species. In The 12 Planet and later in Genesis Revisited (1990), I showed how the Bible summed up that very scientific tale in the Book of Genesis; and how modern science was only catching up with ancient knowledge. In a chapter titled “The Creation of Man” I quoted passages from various clay-tablet texts that provided details of the Creation of Man process – How Enki, the chief scientist of the Anunnaki, suggested that an already existing being could be upgraded by mixing Anunnaki genes with the humanoid ones; how Ninti, the chief medical officer of the Anunnaki (and Enki’s half-sister) performed the gene-mixing; and how the resulting “clay” was used to impregnate fourteen “birth goddesses,” to become pregnant with seven males and seven females! Using the “essence” of young male Anunnaki (extracted in a “purifying bath”) to prepare the proper “mixed clay,”
While many other aspects of similarities between in-vitro and other genetic engineering procedures now developed and what the ancient texts describe have been dealt with in my writings, the precise number of fourteen sperm/embryos divided into seven male, seven female is – to say the least – an amazing coincidence. THE CASE OF THE GENETICALLY MODIFIED PRIMATE
"Ninharsag and her crew are closer to being vindicated as time passes, and soon your theories will no longer be theories!"
So wrote to me a fan (Jack Byrd in Virginia) in a congratulatory letter accompanying a newspaper clipping headlined "Genetically modified primate is world's first." It was the report about the successful birth of ANDi ('inserted DNA' spelled backward), a baby rhesus monkey "created" by a group of researchers at the Oregon Regional Primate Center, whose genetic makeup was modified to include the genes from a jellyfish that make it glow in the dark.
Mice have been previously genetically modified for medical research. But because the rhesus monkey is roughly 95 percent akin to humans genetically, "I think we are at an extraordinary moment in the history of humans, " said the chief researcher Dr. Gerald Schatten.
I was of course pleased to be congratulated. Yet, I wrote back to my fan with thanks coupled with an admonition. "While it is nice to get such reassuring compliments," I wrote to him, "I am trying to get my fans to write about it to others, and first and foremost to the newspapers that carried the reports. In this case, the Associated Press report stresses that it is the world's FIRST genetically modified primate; what a Letter to the Editor should point out is that according to Sumerian texts reported by Zecharia Sitchin in his books The 12th Planet and Genesis Revisited, ADAM was the first genetically modified primate, some 300,000 years ago!"
The news about the genetically modified rhesus monkey was just one item in an avalanche of reports on human genetics, cloning etc. in which the names of Enki and Ninharsag could well replace the names of Dr. Schatten, Dr. Phyllis Leppert (and their other modern colleagues). So please -- TELL IT TO THE NEWSPAPERS!

WILL BIBLICAL PROPHECIES BE FULFILLED? “War has come to the cradle of civilization, “ current headlines have been announcing; and both fans and interviewers have asked me what is my “take” on these events. “How strange that 6000 years of human history keep leading us to devastation in this ancient place; I wonder if you have any thoughts on this issue,” asked a fan from England. “Is this the fulfillment of biblical prophecies?” asked an interviewer. Indeed, today’s Iraq encompasses ancient Mesopotamia, the Land Between the Rivers where Assyria and Babylon and long before them Sumer had flourished. It is there, geographically, where the first known civilization had blossomed out, giving Mankind the firsts in writing and literature, the wheel and the kiln, art and music, mathematics and astronomy, kingship and laws, temples and religion, and the first Cities of Man, among them the famed Ur whence Abraham had come. Preserving The Legacy The issue of preserving and respecting that ancient legacy is perhaps best illustrated by Ur’s mighty ziggurat (step pyramid) whose ruins still dominate the landscape. In the first Gulf War, the Iraqis placed their aircraft next to the ziggurat, expecting (correctly!) that the Americans would not risk bombing the planes for fear of damaging the ziggurat; the Iraqis did it again this time – but this time (according to unconfirmed reports) the airfield was captured by Special Forces without a bomb dropped. While the Iraqis converted a symbol of Sumer’s legacy into a military target, it is known that in Washington panels of archeologists and other scholars have been advising the campaign planners on the location and importance of ancient sites. It has been pointed out, however, that various dam and irrigation projects have obliterated potential archeological sites; and although in the first Gulf War war-damage was minimal, post-war looting of sites and museums was rampant The Wars of Men War – any war – entails carnage and destruction, and a time of No More Wars was deemed already in biblical times as the idyllic time when swords shall be made into ploughshares. Yet wars accompanied Mankind from the earliest times, and the Lands of the Bible, encompassing today’s Iraq, have known war after war after war. Today’s Iraq was artificially put together by the victorious Allies after World War I, in the 1920’s. Today’s capital, Baghdad (which is not ancient Babylon) was established by invading Arabs in AD 750 and was overrun by Mongol hordes in AD 1469. Greeks (under Alexander the Great), Persians, Medians, Sassanians, Parthians warred there. And the great international war recorded in the Bible, of the Kings of the East against the Kings of the West, took place in the time of Abraham. The kingdoms that followed Sumer, Babylonia and Assyria, turned war into a permanent state policy; their kings boasted in their annals of one campaign after another. Killings, annihilations, destruction, pillaging, subjugation fill the records. In Who’s Footsteps? While ancient Sumer knew wars (its monuments indeed depict soldiers and war chariots), its kings boasted of assuring peace, and the highest epithet for a ruler was to be called a Righteous Shepherd. The present ruthless ruler of Iraq chose as his model, however, not a Sumerian king but the Babylonian Nebuchadnezzar, the one who captured Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple that Solomon built for Yahweh. Saddam Hussein rebuilt (on a reduced scale) Babylon, not Ur or Nippur; and like the olden kings had each brick stamped with an honorific inscription – paying homage to “Saddam Hussein, protector of civilization, who rebuilt the palace which belonged to Nebuchadnezzar.” Like that Babylonian king, Saddam Hussein spoke of Iraqi domination from the Persian Gulf (the ancient “Lower Sea”) to the Mediterranean (the “Upper Sea”), of capturing Jerusalem, of destroying the “Zionist State” (alias ancient Zion). Biblical Prophecies By comparing Iraq to ancient Babylon and himself to Nebuchadnezzar, Saddam Hussein inescapably brings to mind the biblical prophecies concerning the kingdom that turned greatness to evil and the king whose rule brought slaughter and destruction. The prophet Isaiah foretold the demise and destruction of Babylon by armies from a distant land, even from the skies (!) (Chapter 13) and prophesied the fate of Babylon’s king and his sons (!) (Chapter 14). The prophet Jeremiah, recording the evils of Babylon and its rulers, foretold the coming punishment: “A sound of battle is in the land and a great destruction… A sword is upon the Chaldeans and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, upon her princes and upon her counselors; a sword is upon her liars… a sword is upon her mighty men.” As much as the biblical prophets were for Peace, they deemed war in punishment of evil as justified. Of First Things and Last Things Do biblical prophecies hold true just for the time they were uttered, or are they of eternal validity, holding true for posterity whenever the circumstances are the same? Was evil punishable only then, not now? Were messianic expectations valid only B.C. and not AD? The question has filled volumes; I tend to agree with those who view biblical prophecies as eternally valid. The New Testament’s Book of Revelation’s assertion “I am Alpha and I am Omega,” I am the First and I am the Last, re-expressed the more encompassing Old Testament (or Hebrew Bible) credo of all the prophets that The First Things Shall Be The Last Things. Indeed, it was the knowledge of what had been that was the basis for foretelling what will be; or, as I put it in my lectures, the Past is the Future. That history will repeat itself, there should be no doubt. What remains a mystery is what chapter of history will be repeated when – are we still in the middle of the what I named The Earth Chronicles, or is the grand cycle nearing completion and the very First Things shall fulfill the prophecies of The Return? In this regard it behooves us to recall that before the Cities of Man there had been cities of the gods and before the wars of men there were the wars of the gods – including the one in 2024 B.C., when the use of nuclear weapons caused the demise of the Sumerian civilization. DISCUSS UFO's,
EXTRATERRESTRIALS, ANGELS, CREATION OF MAN

The death of Pope John Paul II has occasioned widespread discussions about his own stand and the Vatican's position regarding a variety of subjects, from purely theological to social issues. Completely lacking has been any reference to an issue of concern to many, and especially to those interested in the subjects of UFO's, Life on other planets, and Extraterrestrials in general, and in Zecharia Sitchin's writings in particular.
As it happened, it was exactly five years ago, in April 2000, that Zecharia engaged in a public discussion of those very issues with a leading theologian of the Vatican, Monsignor Corrado Balducci, during an international conference held in Bellaria (Bimini) in Italy. The historic dialogue was reported at the time on this official website of Zecharia Sitchin; hereunder is the full text of that report which speaks for itself.
In what must be a historic first, a high official of the Vatican and a Hebrew scholar discussed the issue of Extraterrestrials and the Creation of Man, and though different from each other in upbringing, background, religion and methodology, nevertheless arrived at common conclusions:
* Yes, Extraterrestrials can and do exist on other planets
* Yes, they can be more advanced than us
* Yes, materially, Man could have been fashioned from a pre-existing sentient being.
The Participants
The high Vatican official was Monsignor Corrado Balducci, a Catholic theologian with impressive credentials: A member of the Curia of the Roman Catholic Church, a Prelate of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and the Propagation of the Faith, leading exorcist of the Archdiocese of Rome, a member of the Vatican's Beatification Committee, an expert on Demonology and the author of several books. Appointed in the Vatican to deal with the issue of UFO's and Extraterrestrials, he has made in recent years pronouncements indicating a tolerance of the subjects; but he has never before met and had a dialogue with a Hebrew scholar, and gone beyond prescribed formulations to include the touchy issue of the Creation of Man.

The Monsignor and I almost met for such a dialogue last December, but it did not come about. This time we were scheduled to meet in Bellaria, Italy, at a conference whose theme was “The Mystery of Human Existence.” I arrived there with my wife and a score of fans from the USA, on March 31st, scheduled to address the audience of over a thousand the next day. The Monsignor was nowhere in sight; but he was there the next morning to hear my presentation. “I drove the whole night from Rome to hear you,” he said.

Sitchin’s Presentation
My talk, ably translated by my Italian editor Tuvia Fogel, included a slide presentation that added a pictorial dimension to the evidence from ancient times in support of Sumerian texts, on which my eight books based the following conclusions:
We are not alone -- not just in the vast universe, but in our own solar system; There is one more planet in our solar system, orbiting beyond Pluto but nearing Earth periodically; Advanced "Extraterrestrials” -- the Sumerians called them Anunnaki, the Bible Nefilim -- started to visit our planet some 450,000 years ago; And, some 300,000 years ago, they engaged in genetic engineering to upgrade Earth's hominids and fashion Homo sapiens, the Adam. In that, they acted as Emissaries for the Universal Creator -- God.
The Dialogue
"We have much to talk about,” Msgr. Balducci said to me as he came forward to congratulate me on my presentation; "I have great esteem for your scholarship," he said.
We returned to the hotel for lunch. Our table was surrounded in a semi-circle by my American fans, intent on not missing a word of the forthcoming dialogue. In the hours-long session, Msgr. Balducci outlined the positions he was going to state, from a prepared text, in his talk the next day. While my approach was based on physical evidence, his was a purely Roman Catholic theological-philosophical one, seeking the spiritual aspects. Yet, our conclusions converged.
Msgr. Balducci's Positions
ON UFO's. "There must be something in it." The hundreds and thousands of eyewitness reports leave no room for denying that there is a measure of truth in them, even allowing for optical illusions, atmospheric phenomena and so on. As a Catholic theologian such witnessing cannot be dismissed. "Witnessing is one way of transmitting truth, and in the case of the Christian religion, we are talking about a Divine Revelation in which witnessing is crucial to the credibility of our faith.”
ON LIFE ON OTHER PLANETS: “That life may exist on other planets is certainly possible... The Bible does not rule out that possibility. On the basis of scripture and on the basis of our knowledge of God's omnipotence, His wisdom being limitless, we must affirm that life on other planets is possible." Moreover, this is not only possible, but also credible and even probable. '"Cardinal Nicolo Cusano (1401-1464) wrote that there is not a single star in the sky about which we can rule out the existence of life, even if different from ours.”
ON INTELLIGENT EXTRATERRESTRIALS: "When I talk about Extraterrestrials, we must think of beings who are like us -- more probably, beings more advanced than us, in that their nature is an association of a material part and a spiritual part, a body and a soul, although in different proportions than human beings on Earth." Angels are beings who are purely spiritual, devoid of bodies, while we are made up of spirit and matter but still at a low level. "It is entirely credible that in the enormous distance between Angels and humans, there could be found some middle stage, that is beings with a body like ours but more elevated spiritually. If such intelligent beings really exist on other planets, only science will be able to prove; but in spite of what some people think, we would be in a position to reconcile their existence with the Redemption that Christ has brought us.”
The Anunnaki and the Creation of Man
Well then, I asked Msgr. Balducci, does it mean that my presentation was no great revelation to you? We appear to agree, I said, that more advanced extraterrestrials can exist, and I use science to evidence their coming to Earth ...I then quote the Sumerian texts that say that the Anunnaki (“Those who from heaven to Earth came”) genetically improved an existing being on Earth to create the being that the Bible calls Adam.
My conclusion regarding your presentation, Msgr. Balducci answered, is that more than anything else your whole approach is based on physical evidence, it concerns itself with matter, not with spirit. This is an important distinction, "because if this distinction is made, I can bring up the view of the great theologian, Professor Father Marakoff, who is still alive and is greatly respected by the Church. He formulated the hypothesis that when God created Man and put the soul into him, perhaps what is meant is not that Man was created from mud or lime, but from something pre-existing, even from a sentient being capable of feeling and perception. So the idea of taking a pre-man or hominid and creating someone who is aware of himself is something that Christianity is coming around to…The key is the distinction between the material body and the soul granted by God."
From Anunnaki to God
Yes, I responded to the Vatican theologian, in my writings I deal with the physical evidence; but already in my first book (The 12th Planet), the very last sentence of the last paragraph raises the question: If the Extraterrestrials "created" us, who created them on their planet?
From this my own thinking and the contents of my subsequent books evolved toward the spiritual or "divine" aspects. The Anunnaki, I have explained, were just emissaries (and that is what the Hebrew word Malachim, translated Angels, means). They thought that it was their decision to come here for selfish reasons and to fashion us because they needed workers; but in truth they only carried out the Almighty God's wishes and plans.
If such Extraterrestrials were so involved, Msgr. Balducci said, even by your own interpretation they had to do with Man's physics, body and rationality: but God alone had to do with the Soul!
My second book, that deals with Man's aspiration to ascend the heavens, is titled The Stairway to Heaven, I told Msgr, Balducci, "it seems to me that we are ascending the same stairway to heaven, though from different steps," I said.
We ended the dialogue as friends, determined to stay in touch and continue.

“Zecharia Sitchin makes a surprising connection,” the magazine Atlantis

“Will water be the fuel of the future to power aircraft and spacecraft?” Zecharia’s article asked, and gave the startling answer, “If so, mankind will be employing a ‘technology of the gods’ and, as in other fields, modern science will be only catching up with ancient knowledge”. WATER: THE ULTIMATE PROPELLANT By Zecharia Sitchin Will water be the fuel of the future to power aircraft and spacecraft? If so, mankind will be employing a “technology of the gods” and, as in other fields, modern science will be only catching up with ancient knowledge. The news of the possible use of water – an abundant and clean resource – as the “fuel” for jet propulsion comes from the Tokyo Institute of Technology that has been developing technologies for powering small un-piloted planes by subjecting their “engines” to laser beams fired from the ground or from satellites. In what has been hailed as a great success, the Tokyo team reported in the June 10 issue of Applied Physics that they made a tiny paper “plane” fly by subjecting its “motor” of aluminum plates to laser beams. Causing minute amounts of the metal to vaporize, a jet stream was achieved that cause the plane to soar. The experiment thus attained the trick of creating an ejected jet of some mass that pushed the plane forward. In regular jet planes, the jet is created by burning petroleum fuel and ejecting the hot gas. In the Tokyo experiment, the heat was provided by the laser beam, the jet by the evaporated aluminum. To scale the propulsion system up to full size, Takashi Yabe, head of the Tokyo team, proposed using water as the propellant. “Water can be harvested from the atmosphere as the plane flies,” he said. Reporting the experiment and the water-use idea, the journal New Scientist (15 June 2002) illustrated the futuristic “water engine” thus:

editor Kenneth Chang stated that “water is the more intriguing fuel. The
paper airplane received only a single push before the water propellant was
used up, but Dr. Yabe speculated that a larger plane using this technology
could continually replenish the water from the air, “so we don’t need to
carry large amounts of water,” he said. A Technology of the Anunnaki I admit to having broadly grinned when I read the above news reports, because in my latest book, The Lost Book of Enki, I described the use of water for the propulsion of the spacecraft of the Anunnaki (“Those who from heaven to Earth came” in Sumerian). Enki, the great chief scientist of the Anunnaki, was the leader of the first team of Anunnaki to come to Earth. His name, EN.KI, meant “Lord of Earth” in Sumerian. But that title was granted to him only later, after the arrival of his half-brother Enlil (EN.LIL = “Lord of the Command”). The original Epithet-name of Enki was E.A., commonly taken to mean “He whose home is water.” He was depicted by the Sumerians as a seated deity outpouring streams of water (see PIC). He was the prototype of the Water Bearer Aquarius and his zodiacal constellation (see PIC).
At first I accepted the explanation that his epithet reflected his love of waters, for sailing and fishing. As the scope of my research and writings expanded, increasingly involving the “technologies of the gods,” I was increasingly astounded to discover that modern science is only catching up with ancient knowledge. This was true in astronomy, then in genetics, and now in space propulsion.
The Sumerian incredible knowledge of the heavens applied not only to recognition of all the planets we know of today (plus Nibiru), but also to their descriptions and roles. Thus, Mars was spoken of as The Way Station. NASA’s own photographs from the 1970’s, shown in my book Genesis Revisited, reveal the remains of artificial structures on Mars. But the argument has been that Mars could not have served as an astronauts’ base because it is a lifeless, atmosphere-less and a dry, waterless planet. Well, all of a sudden we hear from the same space experts that oh, yes, Mars not only had rivers and lakes and oceans in the past – it still has vast quantities of water frozen at its poles and lying inches below the surface elsewhere… So Mars could not only sustain a Way Station: It could serve to re-supply the spacecraft of the Anunnaki with their fuel: Water. Did the engine devised by Enki have to evaporate the water to create a jet? Probably not: The water itself could be ejected – an idea as simple as the lawn sprinkler… © Z.
